America is currently plagued by the hydra-headed evil duo of inflation and recession. The worst part about this recession is that consumers are racking up credit card debt. In April alone, credit card debt went up 20% while rates have doubled in a year. Inflation is so high that consumers are literally taking debt for basic life necessities. Collapse has indeed begun..
Collapse is generous 1st time in our history with a full generation that wasn't taught financial literacy, civics, Google fixes their problems if their parents don't do it for them. Reckoning for participation trophies is incoming.
The best course of action if you lack market knowledge is to ask a consultant or investing coach for guidance or assistance. Speaking with a consultant helped me stay afloat in the market and grow my portfolio to about 65% since January, even though I know it sounds obvious or generic. I believe that is the most effective way to enter the business at the moment.
@@stephaniestella213 I personally work with ''HEATHER ANN CHRISTENSEN'' she covers things like investing, insurance, making sure retirement is well funded, going over tax benefits, ways to have a volatility buffer for investment risk. many things like that. Robert Smith and I are the same age, i grew up in the SF Bay Area as a technologist and he has done several things that I wanted to do but i had a couple of road blocks in my way. life is short and i'm glad to see someone like me with an engineering background using his mind to be a blessing to our community. One Love.
I absolutely appreciate you guys for having him on!! Scaling is something we need to understand in our community and learning to understand paying people for their expertise is part of one's blueprint to wealth! I'm glad he explained private equity it gave me clarity on what I thought I knew!!!

So many gems in this interview. One of many was the fund for school tuition. Listening to Mr. Smith's explanation was informative and inspiring. And that sums up the whole interview IMHO. Thank you EYL.
57:22 Mr. Smith summed up What I’ve been thinking and feeling for the last 2+ years. All of the various pathways to economic empowerment, that EYL and friends have taught us are available to us all. This is our opportunity to participate in this next industrial revolution in a real tangible way. No excuses. Just put in that grind and those 10,000+ hours. We were intentionally left out of all of the aforementioned ways in which other communities created generational wealth. Let’s not let it happen again! Knowledge is power! Impact over everything. Love this community! Thanks EYL & Mr. Smith
Thank goodness you brought this up! Truly, investing has changed my perspective on how one can succeed in life; working multiple jobs isn't the optimal way to attain financial freedom and unfortunately, we discover this later in life. Currently earn as much as 10 grand weekly and this has improved my financial life. Great piece!😊😊
Wow, congratulations on your impressive investment success! Your discipline and focus on delayed gratification is truly inspiring. I'm curious, what are some of the key factors that you consider when making investment decisions? Do you have any tips for those of us who are just starting to dip our toes into the world of investing? Thanks for sharing your story!
I would recommend you get started with a professional broker that will guide you through the process and trade for you while you get the daily profit and rewards.
Francesca Wilson Financial is my portfolio-coach, I found her on CNBC where she was interviewed, I looked up her name on the internet. Fortunately I came across her site and reached out to her, you can verify her yourself.
It's refreshing to see lots of positive comments about Francesca Wilson Financial. I recently had the opportunity to use her services and since then, everything has gone very smoothly. It's amazing how accurate their market analysis is, and how good and understanding they are towards beginners. She'll even go to an extent of building up a suitable strategy plan that fits your investment size.
@WinFromWithin What's not adding up? People on Wall Street do it all the time. Plenty of engineers and hard math majors who decide to get their MBA and then transition to Wall Street. The math and modeling is no problem for them.
Keyed in from the beginning. His story about 5 Points in Denver hooked me. Love his points on: Mergers & Acquisitions being an apprenticeship; how he used engineering to identify and reduce inefficiencies in software companies; the ecosystem his Vista private equity firm provides for its portfolio companies and founders. Planning to watch this a few more times, because I was intrigued, educated, and feeling ideas for my own ventures springing to mind all at once. Thank you Rashad and Troy!
Like Robert Smith mention we are native to technology and listening to him. You can feel that he is still the head of his time. As an engineer myself Is like he came from the future to help us get ahead.
What a brilliant mind? I can't get enough of listening to R. Smith talk, his inspiring approach, and his innovative and critical thinking. A great teacher, too. Excellent interview.

Love this so much. The conversations around student loans and HBCUs hit home as well. Just powerful.....Thanks EYL and Mr. Smith. You definitely inspired me a lot.
All I can say is WOW! A truly excellent and outstanding interview. Definitely worth the listen! He is more impressive than I realized. And he has such a well-versed, intellectual mindset. One thing he said, amongst others, that strongly resonated was "It's economic necessity and its fairness that is going to move our society forward." That spoke volumes! In addition, I congratulate him on The Student Freedom Initiative which I believe will definitely change the playing field and lives of so many people. An exceptionally, well researched undertaking indeed!
Shout out to the entire EYL team for bringing this to the viewers. It was very informative, and I learned a lot, but more importantly, it allowed me to comprehend even more that I (WE) have to continue to educate. Great personality. Very humble and extremely knowledgeable. The wisdom he was dispensing is priceless. The hosts seemed a little intimidated by him, which is understandable, especially when he was explaining the efficiency curve and dropped some of the engineering terms. He reminded me of a director I worked under for 10 years (not currently). He was an African American as well and one of the most intelligent ppl I have ever worked with or for. I had the opportunity to watch him in the boardroom with the CEO, CIO, COO, and CFO explaining complex technological solutions to them using highly professional and targetted language (Similar to Mr. Smith, he was highly educated as well). We would then go out to lunch just our team and he would talk trash to you, use slang words and crack jokes. I was always fascinated by how easy it was for him to handle both environments and the ease by which he would make the shift and I told him that. We the subordinates all loved and respected him and still do. I was very close with him during my time at the company and we stayed in touch. You see that confidence Mr Smith exudes when he is talking and explaining???? My director had that too. It is just amazing to experience.

"You're not going to remember those expensive shoes you bought ten years ago, but you will remember every single morning when you look at your bank account that extra 0 in there. I promise, that's going to be way more fun to look at everyday", I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life too 🙏🙏🙏
I agree with you. Investment is the key to sustaining your financial longevity. And not just any investment but an investment with guaranteed return.
you've remind me of what someone once said "The mind is the man, the poor is in it and the rich is it too". This sentence is the secret of most successful investors. I once attended similar and ever since then been waxing strong financially, and i most tell you the truth..investment is the key that can secure your family future.
Yeah investment is the key to sustaining your financial longevity but venturing into any legitimate investment without a proper guidance of an expert can lead to greater loss too
exactly! That's my main concern and what kind of investment can someone do with this increase economy turndown
Hello please I'm new here, what exactly kind of investment are you talking about here, I'm really interested too
24:58 "...build your fact pattern of your experiences through the lens of different practitioners." It's HERE where Mr. Smith so eloquently described the secret to success in business.
So for the less intellectually incline could you break that down a bit more ?
your approach and business decisions should leverage your knowledge and experience along with the perspectives and wisdom of your mentors.
you referring to me? he just finished an anecdote on apprenticeship and mentors. lol. business success is often learning from folks who are already experts. bruh
Ain't no secret. Homie took that oath in college an did some things to attain & gain all that status & wealth. It's a game if you willing to play an obey you can achieve that same status. That's of course only if you're "willing"
Every young brothers and sisters need to watch this interview. That brotha got a brilliant mind and many practical Solutions to achieving generational wealth... very insightful and inspiring interview Bravo 👏🏾
I just got into network engineering and I can listen to this man speak all day. I need an autobiography
Well done fellas! I purchased that Forbes issue he was on, and that was literally the first time I had heard of him. Fast forward, this is the 1st time I've actually heard his story. Glad you guys sat down with him! Much love to y'all and the whole EYL fam, keep up the great work!
God bless Robert Smith, may he always be in a place of overflow 🙏🏽
May his overflow continue to flow into the minds, hearts, development and progress of future generations 🙏🏽
This interview is important to all black men worldwide I have followed brother Robert for many years and proud of what he has accomplished, well done guys on the interview and sharing with us. God bless Robert and you guys ✊🏿🙏🏽💯
I've watched this episode over several times... I just love hearing Robert's voice share all of the wisdom and knowing all that he has done for the black community. Robert, may you and your family be covered in continued blessings all of your life!!!
When I learned of him 3 years ago he has been my hero.Anytime he's on I'm all ears.
This is 1 for tha books.. if you want to level up in life.. pay close attention to the knowledge he speaking on.. hard work pay off.. keep grinding 💪
Greetings from Morocco! Troy and all tuned in are not only appreciative of his time/insight but are taking serious NOTES!!
Thank you Mr. Smith for being a TRUE LEADER
@@johnlennon232 Hi Mate, please how can i reach this CFA of yours?

Just take a look at her full name on the internet. She is well known so it shouldn't be hard to find her.
@@johnlennon232 She appears to be well-educated and well-read. I ran a Google search for her name and came across her website; thank you for sharing
Thank you, thank you, thank you gentlemen! It is amazing to see black men "doing it". Robert Smith is an amazing gentleman as well. I met him during my time at Cornell University and he is so real and he obviously has not forgotten who he is. Thank you!!!
This man is dropping BIG gems 💎
So many gems in this interview. One of many was the fund for school tuition. Listening to Mr. Smith's explanation was informative and inspiring. And that sums up the whole interview IMHO. Thank you EYL.
Great interview, def going to rewatch to document all the gems that we're dropped. Thank you!
Hardly Nobody gets more than 30 mins of Robert Smiths time. EYL got an hour plus some off camera. The SCALE up KING 👑 #robertsmith 👑 I ❤️ EYL
Thank you Mr. Smith for explaining the difference between venture capital and private equity🙏🏽And thank you EYL for sharing this interview. 😊
Transitioning from engineer to financial giant is an amazing feat! Love the content! EYL viewing day.
@WinFromWithin What's not adding up? People on Wall Street do it all the time. Plenty of engineers and hard math majors who decide to get their MBA and then transition to Wall Street. The math and modeling is no problem for them.
@@r.j.w7924lol he’s obviously slow
Really needed this interview!!! Keep giving us the inspiration and motivation to move forward as a culture.
So many gems.... had to keep pausing this interview.... like what..... standing ovation my brothers!
Like Robert Smith mention we are native to technology and listening to him. You can feel that he is still the head of his time. As an engineer myself Is like he came from the future to help us get ahead.
This is going to be gold.
What a brilliant mind? I can't get enough of listening to R. Smith talk, his inspiring approach, and his innovative and critical thinking. A great teacher, too. Excellent interview.
Robert Smith the GOAT!!! I been watching interviews of his since like 2019. It’s crazy a lot of people don’t know about him, especially our people man this is huge. You guys have been killing it man love seeing the growth continue!!!!
Our people? Did you know Robert is married to a 38 white chick. Why is it got to be about race for you if he doesn't care about that.
@@nuestrosvideos9791 what? I don’t care what race he married to at all. I’m simply stating that a lot of black people don’t know bout him.. Like I said I been watching his content since bout 2019, and I always try to tell my black friends about him but most of them don’t know who he is, which is a little shaming because we always are knowledgeable on successful rich and famous musicians and athletes and entertainers instead of knowing the ones that are actually in business and making a very huge impact in this country for everyone so saying our people wasn’t me trying make this a race battle or nothing, just wanting my people to seek knowledge on successful black individuals other than Entertainers…

The most important thing that should be on everyone's mind currently should be to invest in different sources of income that doesn't depend on the government. Especially with the current economic crisis around the word. This is still a good time to invest in various stocks, Gold, silver and digital currencies.
I have been investing in stocks for over 10 years now and I have made a lot of money. My portfolio has grown exponentially and I can't thank stocks & ROCHELLE DUNGCA-SCHREIBER enough for such an amazing way to make money!
Absolutely Brilliant, I am so appreciative of this historic interview. I thank you all in Advance 🌊

@@JohnFrance-ns5ve you and who and who are you speaking for?
Powerful interview. I am a big fan of EYL, but this really hit home. As someone who obtained their six sigma green belt earlier this year, Mr. Smith was definitely talking my language.
This man just gave us the game.
Shout out to the entire EYL team for bringing this to the viewers. It was very informative, and I learned a lot, but more importantly, it allowed me to comprehend even more that I (WE) have to continue to educate. I'm going to also share this with my 24yr old son who Graduated from Tuskegee as a Mechanical Engineer, hoping it will ignite something in him as did for me. I can go on and on about the brilliance of this episode, but I'll conclude here. Thanks again.
This is the greatest interview I’ve ever seen. More of these interviews please!
He is a product of a great family, great community, excellent schooling, ambitions, curiosity, and a book club. Something that is not bestowed to all our kids. Systemic oppression cost many these opportunities. He is the result of generations of perseverance, and proper mentorship!
Epic interview Mad respect to everyone involved!!
It’s not systemic oppression that prevents children from growing up in a family as he did.
Systemic oppression is as real as you believe it. If you think your a victim you will look for reason to choose to be oppressed
@@DRPHILLIPFLETCHER Did you hear when he talked about the racist who burned down the school buses? What about the other kids who lost out on school transportation how do you think that affected their outcomes and possible future generations?
@@jeffreyd700 I don’t know. But I hazard a strong guess based on the data the successive generations are financially, legally, politically, and socially better off than that generation he was speaking of in the interview. Would you dispute that claim?

This guy has forgotten more things than most business minds will ever learn.. This was an in person masterclass. You could tell they knew it as well because they easily go 5 mins at a time at certain points without a question. They just listening to him drop knowledge!
Robert Smith is an alchemist! His mind is beyond genius its a scientific gold mine! He literally turns lead (basic needs) to gold streamlined technology (software).
This is one of the most enlightening interviews I have ever seen! Thank you all! Thank you Robert F. Smith for sharing so many details that can change the outcome of so many African American lives!
It is so rare to have access to and to be able to pick the mind of a financially successful Black man. This interview is very much appreciated....Subbed!
I graduated grad school with an MBA in finance 2010. I’ve been looking for these nuggets Mr. Johnson is providing on M&A ever since I graduated, and that information so hard to find for us minorities coming out of the public school system. I am so glad that he included that information regarding M&A on your platform.
So true, you can have so many degrees, you can read so many books. But the school of life teaches you that practice makes perfect. Everything you want to do/achieve, you have to first put it in practice!!!👌🏼💪👏🏼🤜🏼

The government of KENYA has announced that it is making CODING a primary school subject in all the primary schools in the country. This is a first for Africa and so as I listened to Robert I am inspired to say yes it is paramount that African American students get into the industry ASAP so they can have a share in the 4th industrial revolution. Otherwise they will be left behind yet again.
They can study all they want and end up with a head full of useless knowledge WHEN THEIR APPLICATION IS THROWN INTO THE GARBAGE BY THE WHITE RACIST. HE SHOULD CREATE JOBS IF HE'S SO SMART.
Robert Smith is one of my mentors. This is the kind of financial literary the AA and Africans need not just sports and entertainment..
Vista provides data backed management operation system for the companies they buy. So invaluable. Companies that get acquired by bigger ones usually have to start their systems from scratch. Rather than a company starting their operations from scratch Vista provides a operations template per department.

Keeping this to myself isn't a good idea, I decided to tell everyone so you guys can help me. I have being making so much losing on trading and I'm still wondering how people make this huge profits investing on the stock market online, I agreed with you investing and earning is a legitimate way to gain financial freedom, but how is it done?
That's true and you can imagine the profits people are making daily by just trading stock market or bitcoin
Investing in crypto and stock market is a good idea, a good trading system would put you through many days of success.
It is possible to produce superior performance provided you do something different from the majority. However, most of us tend to pay more attention to the shiniest position in the market to the cost of proper diversification.
A lot has changed and that's on everything but the truth is that i don't even care much about bullish or bearish market because Jeff O'Reilly help me a lot, I am comfortably earning monthly

K-6 education. Thanks Mr. Smith. I am an elementary school teacher in the inner city. I TOTALLY understand that separate is NOT equal. Listening to your interview sparked an idea 💡 that I am going to persue. God speaks in mysterious ways. May you continuously be blessed for your kindness and giving through your missionary work and your ministry. Amen.😇 Thanks to the interviewers and all who participated in the production of this presentation.
Amazing wealth of knowledge. His networth hasn’t matched that just yet! Great job EYL for bringing him on.
