I always like him, got a chance to meet him, at Cobo Hall, and boy this guy was huge, but he spoke with all of us, and politely shook all our hands, and listen to all our concerns , a really down to earth guy, in spite of whatever happened, thank you for your service, I remember looking up to him, and he was, smelling good suited and booted, I remember saying damn that is one big tall guy.

Been lovin these videos on the former mayor, my grandma loved this man! She went to all of the Senior events he used to put on with my grandpa (miss u☝🏽🙏🏽) my Ma, & me a kid at the time. My Grandparents lived right over by Conner & Jefferson area. My Grandma was a Teacher’s Aid for a school called “Stark” for many years, not far from their house. She also volunteered for “Jazzin’ On Jefferson” which also wasn’t far from their house. I have fond memories of her talkin bout the Mayor & was always in his corner. He did SO much for the Senior residents, they felt heard, respected, & that love was felt. I’m 30 now & just wanna say thank you for all these great memories I have with them. Mr. Daniels I was hoping I could speak with you about podcasting? This series has confirmed this channel is something I’d like to contribute/ be a part of! Just for clarity Dexter Linwood is an actual neighborhood. The two main streets don't cross they run parallel and have some really big homes. Although Dexter is in bad shape in spots investment is the key to the turn around. Kwame you had your chance, that's over. Try to help the current Mayor as much as you can.

I used to work in the Board of Ethics Department when he was mayor and used to read the transcripts or court records (not sure of the proper term). I would always say to folks you need to read. File a FOIA request and get it. Only jealous, envious, self-hating, and ignorant people chose to go along with the agenda. He will always be my mayor.
I wish I was old enough to remember the Coleman Young administration's successes. My memories of Mayor Young were of him arguing with Bill Bonds on Channel 7. I would say, I like that man, he ain't scared to fight. Mayor Young inherited the remnants of years of corruption from the Cobo, Miriani, Cavanagh, and Gribbs administrations and even further back if we do the research.

Detroit today was planned before the riots. The powers that be set the riots in motion years ago to de populate of its so called black citizens so that white ppl could purchase property for pennies on the dollar . Detroit had more so called black home and business owners than anywhere in the country. For Detroit being an international city and having some of the best water in the country thing's had to change ! Now Detroit has a white mayor who is Alegently doing the same crime Kilpatrick, was accused of but not investigated and no city council to challenge the mayor on his plans is where the city is now !!!

You should look into what D.A Jr got...people trusted Mayor Archer because the media did not give them reason not to. Ask the people who lost family homes due to the development near Jefferson and Connor how they feel. We focus on the wrong things. Duggan and other city staffers were let off the hook by Dana Nessels after abuse of power claims. She said he could prioritize whatever he chooses to because he is mayor. Why is it a problem if Kwame did it? Because the media made everything he did a big deal.
