So here is some messed up things about Nomus.
Only the black ones are made from ex villains. The white ones are made from kids.
The guy who makes them runs orphanages to get those test subjects.
And remember than Nomu from stain arc who tried to kidnap Deku and got killed by Stain.
That nomu is heavily hinted to be a childhood friend of Deku and Bakugo. In episode one the kid with the wings.
well, the bodies of the black ones can be from criminals, but the quirks stuffed into them could also be mixed up with other people.
That is the kid, it was confirmed in the manga. Honestly pretty depressing
All Might was making an "All Might" pun which only works in Japanese, from what I remember in the manga, it had a side note explaining it.
his "Watashi wa kita" which translate to "I am here" sounds similar to saying "I brought cotton candy" in Japanese, or something like that so it was kind of like a tongue twister saying in Japanese "I am here with cotton candy!"
I guess he's not the best at puns cause the class didn't get it or care he was there, kind of rude.
That's yet another similarity Mirio has with all might, bad puns.
"I've togata go see"
Aizawa and Shirakumo get a bit more backstory in the spinoff, MHA Vigilantes. So when this reveal first came out in the manga, people who had read Vigilantes were pretty shocked. The reveal doesn't hit as hard if you haven't read it, but the reactions from Aizawa and Mic definitely fill in those emotional gaps
Which begs the question , where the heck is Sky crawler in the war arc. Not that he can do much against the God tiers of the verse but still.
@@Agent-57 I mean, he's probably still working under Captain Celebrity, so the better question is where is C.C.
@@CrownofMischief No longer the top hero obviously. Still in USA I guess.
I mean he wouldn't be able to do jack against AFO Shigaraki so Star was the only option for usa to send to Japan.
@@Agent-57 didn't she technically go against orders by taking her team despite the U.S. not wanting to get involved? I should probably read the chapter again, but I don't think she was officially sanctioned to be there
@@Agent-57 he was never THE top hero of America, just a top ranking one
Shirakumo shira=白=white kumo=雲=cloud
Kurogiri kuro=黒=black giri(kiri)=霧=fog
I'm Japanese, so my English is poor.
Would it be shira? I always thought white was shiro. But then again that might be some grammar stuff I simply don't know.
But yes, it's a pretty nice way to show how the original character was corrupted.
@@dowfreak7
Yes, there are grammatical elements.
The pronunciation changes when combined with other words.
Thank you for your reply!
@@user-hu8xb7bb4d Ah, yeah I briefly heard of the "mid-word" changes. Like how "katana" turns into "gatana" in "uchigatana".
And I vaguely recall something about islands being "shima", but in some words it's "jima"?
Props to you, for learning a language so foreign to your own. I tried Japanese for a bit, but never stuck with it for long.
You have very good English! Keep using it👍
Always loved this episode, not just for the emotional distress and extra characterization we get for our two best teachers, but also for the confirmation. Now it's 100% clear that yes, Aizawa was deadly serious about expelling whoever came in last in that first test.
He's literally done that time and time again, to tons of students. And then Deku comes along, the epitome of what Aizawa's pain is based on - a hero willing to throw his life away. But Aizawa takes on the challenge as he sees how Deku is willing to think and change, rather than die like Shirakumo. It gives the Aizawa/Deku dynamic a whole new aspect, because it's like he finally has the chance to "right a mistake" that happened so long ago.
All I'm saying is, Aizawa's the best.
With regards to making smarter Nomu, they did make the High end ones like the one you saw fighting Endeavor which have basic intelligence.
However, spoilers for the Vigilante manga if you ever wanted to get into it,
They had an experiment that was basically the prototype Nomu that they gave full human intelligence, but despite its general success, All For One decided he would rather have something he could more easily control. So basically the High Ends are the result of trying to make a creation that was still a puppet while also being able to think for itself
the all might cotten candy scene is a pun in japanese so its doesnt really translate well
The dub made it work.
Uraraka got the All Might when they drew gifts at random during Christmas. Deku and her got each other's gift.
Facts
Hmm I forgot what Uraraka’s gift was…
@ i think it was a bag of mochi?
the doctor is the same one that said deku doesn't have a quirk
we don't know for sure, but it seems so
I think that Shirakumo is not as brain dead as regular nomus, because he's got only one quirk. The more quirks the nomus have, the more overwhelmed their brains get, and they're not able to think straight.
Saying he has only one quirk is a little misleading in a sense, though. He was given at least one other quirk, a warp quirk, because his original one was just to make clouds. The two just mixed to make his warp gate, kind of like how Todoroki has Hot and Cold. Or maybe it's more like Bakugo's where it's a seamless mix of his mom's glycerin quirk and his dad's acidic sweat.
Guys, that doctor looks familiar, you remember where he is from?
Dr. Eggman from Sonic according to Morgan! lmao but I am now aware he makes a little appearance in the beginning! I will inform Morgan next time we film hehe -Sam
And in the first episode talking with midoriya and his mom
@@TheReactPack Nono I think you might be onto something with the Eggman thought
I think the reason Kurogiri remains intelligent is mostly because he wasn't overloaded with quirks that overwhelmed his mental capacity. A lot of the other nomus were just given strong quirks to increase their combat ability but Kurogiri was intended to help and watch over Shiguraki for an extended period of time and thus needed to remain intelligent.
Also he was seemingly only given one extra quirkz some kind of warp quirk. The fact that the quirk mixed with his own original quirk in such a way as opposed to just remaining two distinct quirks in one person could also lessened the mental strain. This would make sense since we're told people usually either inherit one of their parents quirks or a combination of the two. In cases where two quirks are more compatible with one another, they would increase the odds of mixing into a new combined quirk.
Pay attention to that doctor that was working on Shigaraki.
I think making more intelligent nomu proactive takes some time and effort compared to doll minded ones.
You found out who the doctor is .. ??? :x
This is the point that's make Eraser Head the most badass teacher from now on.
Present mic's real name is Hizashi Yamada
I forgot that Bakugo casually gave Izuku brain damage this episode…
Lmfao because fr💀🧡
“Oh yay they uploaded a new reac…OH NO NOT THIS EPISODE!” This one killed me lol
I keep hoping his level of intelligence indicates that he wasn't actually dead when they nomu'ed him (meaning he's still technically alive now) but this is probably a foolish hope.
I said the same thing when I saw that doc, Robotnik!
Can't resist Sam in this one...
The doctor you 2 seen at the end is actually the one who told Deku he had no quirk.
I know people say that the theory that him lying about deku being quirkless is pointless. But my question is why the hell would the author specifically make that character izuku’s childhood doctor. There has to be a reason for that. The author literally could’ve made any random doctor but he specifically used one connected to the main antagonist…
@@zigsteenine8650 well, we don"t know for sure that it's the same, even thought it's heavily implied, it's not confirmed yet, and also why everyone wants to make theory about it, this is just a doctor, maybe there's nothing more that links him to Deku
Or
now hear me out here
Or
they had the people they wanted to have multiple Quirks to use as generals and thought of everything else as just cannon fodder foot soldiers.
Maybe.. I mean they do seem to throw Nomu's away at ease.
I think All might was tryna act like his old self but it doesn’t fit with his skinny form.😂
amazing reaction as always! btw are you guys planning on doing a reaction to season 3 of mob psycho? i'll be fine even if its just sam and morgan!
Seeing Aizawa so emotional distraught was tough to see. But it was also kind of nice to see that level of emotion from him. Just wish it was under better circumstances.
He needs a hug.
@@TheReactPack On the real
I love Sam faces 💜
No Dani no like. That's bae.
U didn’t even watch the end of the episode 🤦♀️
React to Shumatsu no Valkiry 🙌 pls
This episode really got me what with Aizawa and Mic's former thought-to-be-dead classmate being revealed that he ended up as a Nomu/Kurogiri
Ur almost to mva
