- Hey everyone! It's been a while again.
This will be my first cover with the Carvin! It's yet another rushed one as I gave myself only a couple of hours to properly practice the solo before recording(as you can probably tell haha). This song is damn good fun to play though, and a great one to tighten up your rhythm playing /,,/
the jaeger at the background further proves this guys awesomeness
haha, I do like my jager! although I haven't touched a drop of alcohol in 5 months!
Domicidal Covers awesome man
Great cover, Havok have restored my faith that thrash is still alive and kicking!
Fantastic playing, as usual man. I'm jealous that you were able to pick up that solo "in just a few hours". Haha.
I've been meaning to pick up the monitoring system you have behind you for some time now. Is it worth the money? That's probably a silly question, since your tone is outstanding here. :P
Cheers dude! Well I kind of knew it and practiced a slightly different way of playing the first fast diminished runs a couple of months ago and haven't played it properly since, but I only just realised tonight that I was playing it wrong so I had to kind of re-learn it, which messed with my head slightly haha. But diminshed stuff is pretty simple to pick up by ear anyway, it's just playing it fast that's the hard part :P
The KRK's? yeah, I downsized because I didn't need my Mackies and I needed something with a flatter eq response, the Mackie's had too much of a scooped sound. But my rig was ridiculously simple for this one, the speakers didn't effect the tone: Guitar > MXR Wylde overdrive(for tighter low end and a tiny gain boost) > Laney IRT Studio(cranked to 7/10 on the 1w channel) > Focusrite Saffire PRO 14. I made some minor post-recording EQ adjustments in my DAW. Bare in mind I used the in build cabinet simulator in the Laney aswell, which isn't too great
Awesome palying and tone! Thanks for the video with your Carvin!
Nice cover, nice touch, nice sound and don't forget NO KARATE IN THE PIT. xD
wow, Scott Ian playing Havok! haha
Nice job dude \m/
Man, its incredible!!!
tone and playing on point
I love to play along to this song! But the solo... It wrecks me all the time. How? Sweep, alternate or both? I can never get it up to speed and I´ve tried to play in different ways. Gah!
Great playing btw! :)
I'm actually not sure I even played it correctly, I've probably forgotten it now but I THINK it's mostly sweeping on those diminished sections, but I just kind of guessed with the very last couple of runs.
Great cover and great shirt. Nothing ruins a show like kids thinking crowd killing is killing cool.
Sounds really good
Awesome job bro, pretty nice fiddle too. Keep it up, you and a very small handful of other players have inspired me to do the same, I'll be posting some covers soon.
Thanks a bunch, it feels good to know that! I'l look forward to watching! /,,/
PERFECT !!!!
no karate in the pit! hahahahaha
\m/ Great job!
Kiana Shotgun =)
Hey Thanks! :) /,,/
Nice tone!
Great! Have a tab?
Thrash Parovoz Thanks! Sorry though, I don't use tabs anymore so I don't have one :/ I just listen as best I can and watch some live videos for "confirmation" if I'm a bit stuck on where to play a few notes here and there.
Tuning? (Great Cover) Desde Argentina saludos!
EADGBE-standard......\\m//
Hey man, how did you learn the diminished arpeggio part? tab or ear?
Well anything diminished is pretty simple, and I love playing variations of that pattern a lot of the time anyway. I tried to watch a few live vids but couldn't quite see his finger positioning when his hand shifts half way through each of the first descending runs, so I was originally playing an unnecessarily complicated version of it until I accidentally stumbled across what seems to be the correct way, I just should have practiced it a bit more before recording haha :)
What diminished scale did use in the solo?
+Stephen Esguerra I actually have no idea haha.
Amazing!!!....tutorial or tab???
do you still have the ibanez 540 saber?i will never let mine go lol.good job again man thumbs up.
jayvids4u Thanks! I do indeed still have both of my Sabers! although I'm thinking about selling the blue one as I need to thin out my collection somewhat... My guitars are literally taking over and I've only been playing my Carvin and recently acquired LTD 7-string ;)
deanml1986 nice, well if you do decide to sell it send me a message i may get it for my son.he always wants to play mine but i keep it in is case because its still in perfect condition and its a collector axe for me.so if i grabbed one for him he would love it,he has a carvin that looks a bit like the one you have.
geil gespielt aber wo sind deine old school sachen wie pantera aber fett gespielt
