Thank you! and also thanks for actually reading the description! It's surprising how many people can be bothered to type out a question but can't be bothered to check the description *rolls eyes* I don't think I used any particular settings for the preamp, and don't use the graphic eq that often either(at least I never used to around the time I recorded this video anyway). It is a bit of a strange amp in terms of settings, but I think the best tone I got was from reading the manual online, it's actually REALLy helpful with a crazy amount of hints and tips on how to use it properly. My settings I have right now from looking at the amp next to me though are: Volume: 10 Master: 8 Treble: 8 Bass: 0 Middle: 0 (or sometimes 1 - 1 and a half, but never past 2) Lead Drive: 6-7 Lead Master: 7
@@DomicidalCovers Thank Ya very much mate .....Yes I got the manual downloaded .... I really dig that tune you playing super awesome cover DOA reminds me a bit of Kreator :) one of my favor bands back in a day ....super tight
@@Krystof.Veritae No worries! Glad to help! That Preamp is a super tight preamp. Havok are a tight too, definitely recommend checking out more if you haven't already. /,,/
Thanks. Most of my "covers" have been me playing over the original guitar tracks like I am doing here, but I don't take out any extra mids or try to mix the recording properly, I just make sure my volume is a tiny bit louder as the original, but has more mids so it punches through clearer :) However, for the ones I do remove I use the multitracks from Guitar Hero/Rock Band that you can find all over UA-cam or other sites if you can find them, I take the rest of the instrument tracks and re-mix them myself into my DAW to create the backing track.
As far as I know the preamp is stock from '89! With the exception of some different valves maybe, but I know it still has Mesa Valves in there. It's unbelievably crunchy!! I still need to tweak it a bit to beef it up though.
@@YsAbTones Thanks for the suggestion! I'll add that one to the list now! It probably won't be for a while, but I'm building ideas for videos in the future!

Really dig your vids, bro. What do you use to take out the guitar tracks you play along to?

sound huge ! is it a stock studio pre or is there some mods ?

Nice !!! it would be so awesome if you can do a video with guitars only with the studio pre ( to see how it sounds by itself)
