Surf Fluke (Summer Flounder) Fishing - Chasing the School for a Double Limit!!

- Hope you are getting off to a great start! Here is a trip where culled over a double limit of fluke over 18”. All caught on a single quarter oz jig tipped with a 6” Jerkshad. As opposed to the previous two trips, the biomass of fluke are on the move. On this trip I covered about 3 to 4 miles of beach steadily picking away at quality keepers.
It really pays to fish both tides in a given day. If you have your technique down and if you can locate the fluke, it then all comes to identifying the correct conditions that will have the fluke on the feed. FYI, links to the custom rod I have been using and private lessons are below. Enjoy the video and don’t forget to subscribe!

Bless you for not feeling the need to talk all the time!
Thanks again for another great upload.
looks like 90°
hi, what degree eye tie do you use on your jig heads 30° 60° or 90° ? thx
90-60
I notice you measure your catch but never say what the lengths are when you are recording. Would be awesome to hear what each fish measured out to. Appreciate the videos.
For fish of significant size, I will definitely be providing the measurements.
Marc....How long to do give an area before moving on? I think I tend to fish spots too long if I get that Sucker Fish on the first cast...then I run out of time (Daylight or the Lifeguards Throw me out). Can you give me advice on how you Stick n Move? I do tend to look for structure first....So if I have the right stuff in front of me I will do a better job fishing out a fishy area.
I would give it a few casts then move. Covering beach "efficiently" is key. It's not a race. More miles does not equate to more fish. You need to make decisive moves depending on the conditions, bite, etc.
Nice video. Totally agree with the perfect fluke rod specs. Are you based in jersey?
I am based in the ti-state area
Where do you fish ?
Hi , how far are you casting from shoreline?
It depends...if the bite is at the lip, it will be a short pitch. If the bite is in the middle of the trough, it will be a full cast.
How do you deal with the green head bugs when they’re around? Today’s fishing was phenomenal but the green heads made it unbearable to continue fishing
Capt Ron's.
Was this a recent trip?
