As a lifelong humbucker guitar player, I reached that age where I finally understood the sound signatures of single coils, but I've always hated the 60 cycle hum of most Fenders I'd played. Came across a Suhr Classic S Antique with SSCII and it finally solved the one thing that had always bothered me about Strat style guitars. Now my local shop has a Classic T and I'm trying so hard not to go back and buy it as well for that classic Tele sound without the hum...and your video is making that difficult. :D
You just blew my mind with your playing. Then that guitar re-blew my mind. My mind is double-blown. I think I have a new dream guitar. It sounds spectacular, and I could see the movement in the flamed top… on my phone! I’m flabbergasted, befuddled, and gobsmacked. And don’t forget, DOUBLE mind-blown!
If someone ask me what your dream guitar would be, this Suhr ticks all the boxes. I wish I could have 1% of your talent to play it in such a beautiful way. That song was energetic and uplifting. Jon you are simply amazing! ..and I had to chuckle when you said the action was too low. I guess I've always adjusted it to just before string buzz and never really realized there could be fantastic players like yourself who don't enjoy that low action feeling.👍
As most of my guitars are low to mid priced I have modified pretty much all of them. From replacing tuners to fret levelling and electronics. Some more than others but it’s a fantastic hobby for me. In fact it has been instrumental in keeping me active and stimulated as I have poor health. I’ve basically learnt off UA-cam and of course by making mistakes 😂😂😂 You won’t get your money back if you sell your guitar but it’s worth every penny for the sheer satisfaction of making a guitar sound and play better. Great song as always! And showing a tele does work for leads mighty fine. I never owned a Suhr tele, but had the Suhr T-pickups in a American Series tele. Very nice pickups. Your tele oozes craftmanship. A flamed top with gold hardware is not my favorite spec on a tele, nor on a strat. But if a guitar sounds fabulous I would take it anyway. Keep on rocking!
Sweet tone. Stainless steel frets make it sound extra crisp. Like to hear same guitar with silver nickel fretwire. Jon do have a video of a Tom Anderson tele style body with that exclusive TA bridge pickup?
I'm sure it's nice, but I'd rather just get a Tom Anderson as this is basically their design. Advantage to the TA is the belly/arm cuts and the better neck pocket system... and just the fact the look screams TA. I respectfully say this as an owner of both makes... have always appreciated the fact that they have similar offerings throughout their lineups, but a modern is different than an angel, standard pro is different from an s, etc, that I can easily tell at a glance. Of course have no problem with their classic lines as those are straight copies of Fenders as would be expected.

Suhr was a master builder working for Fender, so you can see how his guitars have that classic pedigree, they are like 'uber Fenders'! Not cheap, but you have to pay for quality eh?
