I like it as well, but honestly I think I understand. It was a good effort to expand on the worldbuilding of its predecessor and create some new ideas and possibilities, but that came at the expense of a few bits and pieces that made the original so iconic. Also, its overall message about being yourself was not really expressed in the best of ways.
Same. I thought it was awful as a kid. Which was disappointing since Cars is my favorite Pixar movie. But I recently rewatched it and honestly it's not that bad. I wouldn't say it's great, but it's definitely entertaining.
I know how a lot of people feel about this movie, but it’s my favorite out of the trilogy. Being the “awkward friend” or “weird friend” is pretty relatable.
Since you asked, Paul Newman, the actor that played Doc Hudson, died of cancer a few years after the first movie was made. So that's why you see them refer to Doc like that at the beginning.
I used to love this movie so much as a kid. That opinion has changed now, but one thing about it I still love is Francesco Bernoulli. He's hilarious, a great rival, and during the London race, says exactly what we're all thinking. "WHAT IS HAPPENING!?"
@@Gorjira5424 Yes! Exactly! The spy stuff should've been a subplot, if not cut out entirely, and The spy cars should have realized Mater wasn't a spy MUCH earlier.

The scene where they talk about Doc Hudson hints strongly that he have passed away in-between the movies. It's an homage/obituary to Doc Hudson's voice actor Paul Newman passed away in 2008, two years after Cars (which was his last movie before his death) and John Lasseter wanted to honor Newman rather than re-cast the role.
This hit differently than the first movie, but it makes sense to change things up and maybe focus on someone new, like Mater. More of the same tends be why a lot of sequel fumble.

I saw this movie in theaters on a Disney cruise celebrating my birthday. It came out in the middle of the week when we were on the ship so they put a big screen on the stage of the opera hall to allow for more seats than any of the actual movie theater rooms had.

I have another movie reaction request for you: do “Chicken Run” next. Not “Chicken Little”, don’t get those titles confused. “Chicken Little” was a Disney movie that I’m not a huge fan of but it’s based off a fable that has aliens in it. But “Chicken RUN” on the other hand, it’s a DreamWorks/Aardman Animations movie that’s basically like a prison break movie about a group of farm chickens trying to escape from their chicken coop with the help of an American rooster named Rocky Rhodes, played by Mel Gibson, before the chickens are being cooked as chicken pot pies. So it’s a more of a classic film that is like a comedic homage to the movie “The Great Escape”. Plus, it’s one of my childhood favorite movies of all time, and it still is one of my favorites to this very day! The animation still holds up, the characters are very memorable, the action sequences are a ton of fun, the orchestral score by both John Powell and Harry Gregson-Williams was amazing, who also composed the score for the first “Shrek” movie a year later, and the story I thought was really good! You would love it, Ange! It’s such a great animated movie!
If anyone was wondering about the whole “outside?” Situation, typically pit crews are tasked with not only racing instructions and tactics, but they’re also responsible for calling out debris and other potential dangers on the course for their drivers. So McQueen listening to Mater’s call isn’t unusual, since mater could be referring to debris on the inside line. Obviously not what Mater actually meant, but I thought I’d say something :)
Special thanks to my patreons!

My son LOVED a blu-ray box with the first two and a special short stories of Mater. I saw that several times. If you want more Mater, there's that.

“Poor Francesco” Sophie Lents said the same thing 😂
Omg yes finally my favourite cars moovieeee ✨✨💖💖💖💀
Cars 2 is one of those “so bad it’s good” movies
If anyone was wondering about the whole “outside?” Situation, typically pit crews are tasked with not only racing instructions and tactics, but they’re also responsible for calling out debris and other potential dangers on the course for their drivers. So McQueen listening to Mater’s call isn’t unusual, since mater could be referring to debris on the inside line. Obviously not what Mater actually meant, but I thought I’d say something :)
Fun fact , Mater and Holly's relationships are still going strong even in the third movie and might get married
Fact that maeter didn't notice his air filter is missing
this is Carstoon Mater tell movie
The car that represents the queen is a Rolls-Royce Phantom IV.
