Yeah it's actually crazy. As an early 2000s kid, I grew up with this movie, probably watched it more than 100 times and it feels surreal to me that so many people around my age are now watching it for the first time
@@christoforospapandreou It also served as the gateway to loving cars for many petrolheads, me included. I must've watched the tuner scene 100 times every day as a kid. A real classic movie, 2000s is becoming our version of the 70s, and the 2010s are becoming the 80s.
@@christoforospapandreou I'm an early 2000s kid too, don't worry xD But yeah, if you think about it, the earliest Lamborghini Gallardos are 20 years old this year. I would call the Gallardo "classic", the same as I would call a 70s American muscle car "classic". The parallels are clearly visible, even if 30 years apart.

I want to say route 66 is a very famous old highway in the United States. It was like the first one that went from Chicago to LA. Its now more of a tourist thing i think.
Yup and it was indeed bypassed to save time on driving, primarily when I-40 was built. However I-55, I-10, I-15, and I-44 also took over from different sections of Route 66 too. This story in cars honestly is about what many towns did go through after Route 66 was bypassed, especially after I-40 was built because so many towns around Arizona and California became complete ghost towns, with little to no one there because they relied so heavily on Route 66, and then of course many of them were also mining towns so that contributed to extra ghost towns but route 66 was indeed a contributor to many towns being so bustling, and now many arent.
Not really a Nascar fan, but I do watch Formula 1 and other racing series every now and then, so I know a bit, so here's some knowledge: Basically, Nascar is what's known as stock car racing, where all the cars have that recognizable Nascar look. Nascar is obviously the most famous stock car racing series. Much like other racing series elsewhere, they have a multiple different championships, where drivers start in one then move to the other, climbing through each championship until reaching the top. Nascar Cup Series being the top and obviously the most famous. They mostly race on ovals, but in recent years they also race on road courses, race track circuits that are not ovals. On ovals, they do a lot of laps, but that's only because how quick a lap is completed, usually around half a minute to a full minute depending on the length of the circuit. Races usually last between 2 - 4 hours. Now, pit stops. I do not know if there's a solid requirement for drivers to go to the pits during races in Nascar, but I know for sure that if you want to get a good result, you have to pit. Tires degrade relatively fast, and you burn through your fuel. I know people have lost races in Indycar (racing series similar to Formula One) because they ran out of fuel, so pitting correctly at the right time is crucial. If you don't, you'll probably lose the race. Flags. There are different flags that can be waved during a race depending on the situation. They're pretty simple. In Nascar, they are: Green: Go. Yellow: Caution. An accident happened so be careful. Red: Severe accident. Everyone back to the pits and wait for the race to restart. White: Last lap of the race has begun. Black: You're disqualified. Blue: You're so slow that the cars in front are right behind you, so move over and let them pass. Championships. Championships are made up by a number of races. Every race, drivers are awarded points depending on the position they finish. The higher your position, the more points you'll have. A driver wins the championship if they have the most amount of points by the end of the championship season. In F1, sometimes they are crowned champion before the season ends if the driver has so many points that it's impossible for anyone else to catch up.
It is nascar however the going in circles doesnt make it NASCAR, more specifically the 'type' is stock car racing, named after how it originated, racing with 'stock' cars, of course things have improved for safety and speed so they arent actually technically 'stock' anymore. But NASCAR also has road courses, namely Watkins Glen and Sonoma. There is also what is called Rovals, such as at Indanapolis and Charlotte where its an oval mixed with a road course.
59:20 This Ferrari was not only called that, but also dubbed by Michael Schumacher. Lewis Hamilton is in the second part, but only in the English version. That scene in the second part is done differently for each country, I think the Spanish have Fernando Alonso.
The Hudson hornet was actually a real race car and doc Hudson was designed to be him and the Hudson hornet was actually in a real racing accident In 1954 and the town radiator springs is a real town in Arizona and the film was modeled after it.
