What a difference the helmet makes on the sculpted hair headsculpt. So much better, I can see Brad Pitt so much clearer😀. I do like the sculpted headsculpt with hair think that is pretty decent and the base sets it off really well👍. I liked the film and this is a good representation of the character. I do like this whole genre of ancient gods and I know a lot of collectors really enjoy the TB league offerings in this realm. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on a figure I don’t think a lot of collectors will have but who might now be interested in following your review. A bit of a missed opportunity this one…if they had got the head sculpt right and the body type right this could have been on for figure of the year, but ball dropped and I think I may have been overly generous with my score. That's really cool, I've always been a fan of the movie and didn't know they made figures from the movie.

@@goFigure623 They did make Hector and Paris too, back with the first version of Achilles from a few years ago. Those two were also on jointed bodies. Although Paris didn't come with a bow which he should have.
Interesting composition 🤔 I really like the helmet on the sculpted head, the rooted version is less appealing. The armor and accessories looks well executed, however the body seems to be slightly undesized and not nearly athletic/muscular enough. I would have preferred a more heroic build, even if slightly exaggerated. I'm not sure that I would purchase the figure for full MSRP but parted out for kitbash or discounted, I could be persuaded to turn this into a project 🎉 Great 👍 unboxing and figure review video
Absolutely 💯 there are three major flaws here imo, the body is wrong and needs to be more muscular, the black tarnish on the armour has been forgotten and the headsculpt is off. It displays well but I can’t recommend it as the definitive Achilles from Troy figure unfortunately. Take care of yourself and happy collecting👍🏼
The body does look to skinny. The promos, it looked much bigger.
It's a beautiful figure, but I never understood why they didn't make it more accurate to the film. There's much more black tarnish and heavy weathering on the armor in the movie. This feels more like an idealized version of Achilles, if that makes sense.

Although it does change colour throughout the movie the majority of the time there is a heavy black tarnish. I love that look, the contrast is amazing but they have all but forgotten about it here🙄 Take care of yourself and happy collecting👍🏼
Thanks for the very detail breakdown! Do you feel like the base limits poseability? I want to recreate all his poses from the fight with Hector but the base looks too small for that. I don't know if I'll ever display him without the helmet, so I'm considering the non deluxe version (which is around £100 cheaper but doesn't come with the base or rooted hair sculpt)
I know you said you don't have the older Achilles figure but have you seen in person photos? The paint on this newer one is better than in the promotional photos but not 100% screen accurate imo
Thanks for your comments and supporting the channel it’s much appreciated 👍🏼 Honestly I was a bit disappointed with this figure and I never use the bonus head sculpt as it looks off to me so he always remains helmeted. The base is good but looks to me like it’s been repurposed from another figure, it’s ok for a museum pose but who wants Achilles in a museum pose🤔 I have him in a fighting pose but the base is so irregular that he is precariously balanced on the edges and with the heavy metal armour always in danger of taking a tumble.
I would have preferred more black on the armour but it does seem to change colour throughout the movie. Take care of yourself and happy collecting 👍🏼
Forgive me, as I've not seen Troy, but isn't it meant to be set at a time when all those columns and flooring would've been new and unbroken? I've seen this kind of thing before in bases where it looks like they've poached something from something unrelated and slapped it in the box. Just seems very odd as it looks like something from current times with the broken down nature of i with the moss and such, as I say though, i've not seen the movie and it might be 100G% scene accurate. The whole execution comes off a little half baked, this is where I'd expect a 3rd party to be 5 years ago, not today. Also, can't unsee the egg whisks all around the shield. Top work as always!

There is an argument to say the base is meant to represent the fall of Troy as seen at the end of the movie but that wouldn’t explain the moss???🤔so I suspect your right. Overall the figure is let down by the body which is proportionally off and the head sculpt which is definitely off. I wish you hadn’t said egg whisks…I looked and now it’s stuck🤣😂🤣
Metal feet = magnetic maybe?

No relation to the Terrain Tutor unfortunately, in fact I’d never heard of him until you mentioned him. So I checked out his channel and you’re right!….he’s me turned up to ten….possibly separated at birth🤣😂

Que horror. Con lo cara que es esta figura. Se que Brad Pitt es esta peli no era Arnold.. Pero.. Que cuerpo le han puesto?? Ese cuerpo hay que cambiarlo si o si por uno más musculado. No me esperaba esto de esta marca.. Una desilusión... 😢

@@fernandovillalobos9737 igual un M33. El M34 es demasiado musculado. Aunque la verdad viendo el mal parecido del esculpido a Brad Pitt.. Que más da que no se asimile a su cuerpo? Creo que le sobra armadura por todas partes. Eso sí he leído que no es sencillo cambiar el cuerpo. Mira antes de comprar nada que estos cuerpos sin costuras no son baratos.

Both head sculpts are off, although the helmet does go some way to covering up the issues. The body is definitely off and the wrong type for Brad Pitt, as good as the armour and accessories are they don’t detract from this figures faults. Take care of yourself and happy collecting👍🏼
