Thanks for comments and supporting the channel it’s much appreciated 👍🏼 A lot of the 1/10 scale stuff I purchased on release from a bricks and mortar store and it has been in storage and only opened for review when I started the channel due to display space. The majority of the statues, 1/4 scale and 1/6 scale stuff I get from William Wang at One Man’s Hobby (there is link to his website in most of my 1/6 scale reviews) I also occasionally go to EBay for the rarer stuff but prices can be silly and occasionally use UK based distributors or buy straight from the manufacturer. Thanks for your comments and supporting the channel it’s much appreciated 👍🏼 Honestly I was a bit disappointed with this figure and I never use the bonus head sculpt as it looks off to me so he always remains helmeted. The base is good but looks to me like it’s been repurposed from another figure, it’s ok for a museum pose but who wants Achilles in a museum pose🤔 I have him in a fighting pose but the base is so irregular that he is precariously balanced on the edges and with the heavy metal armour always in danger of taking a tumble. I would have preferred more black on the armour but it does seem to change colour throughout the movie. Take care of yourself and happy collecting 👍🏼

I only have a few Mezco pieces in the collection and they are all 1/6 but I do like their work(I picked up their Elvira statue recently and it’s outstanding 👍🏼) NECA can be inconsistent but touchwood so far I’ve encountered no major issues. Thanks for your support and comments but Christ you’ve made me feel old🤣 We are from a generation that was blessed by the summer blockbuster not haunted by endless inferior reboots, sequels and prequels of far better movies. The fact that Romulus and Prey exist today not only stands testament to the quality of the originals and their monsters but just how lacking in original ideas Hollywood currently is😞…imo. I once saw a beautiful custom life size big chap for sale and passed on it….what a spoon🙄 Take care of yourself and happy collecting.

@goFigure623 yea just not enough articulation for me as I said I have many star wars hot toys and I can pretty much pose them in some pretty movie dynamic poses I found this one just looks too stiff with not much you can do with it to recreate poses from the move Aliens after all they were to quote Hudson there all over the god damn walls so some poses would have been nice il prob have to go with a prime 1 Alien Warrior and Alien Queen on that 80s classic not cheap though.

Like you I’m not one for extreme posing but with the buzz around Romulus and with all the Hot Toys reissues, artisan and V2.0’s happening I’m surprised they haven’t jumped all over the Alien IP. Your’e quite right the paint applications, screen accuracy and sculpt are all on point with this figure but it is inherently unstable and fragile in places due to its design and NECA could have come up with a better display/design solution. You would think with all the buzz around Romulus and the improvements in technology that Hot Toys would revist their Alien line up and give us screen accurate poseable Xenomorphs 🤔 Take care of yourself and happy collecting.

But I get what your’e saying about masked head sculpts, it would have been nice to see a Wade Wilson swap out sculpt with the Deadpool figure but I guess they would not have got the figure out as quickly. Thanks for your comments and supporting the channel it’s much appreciated 👍🏻 Absolutely 💯 I treat all pleather/leather on my figures with 303, simply apply a thin coating with a clean sponge every six months or so. If you are in a more humid climate you might want to do it more often. Good choice on going Hot Toys imo the Present Toys version is good but you can’t beat the orginal 👍🏻 I hope you enjoy it as much as I do, take care of yourself and happy collecting.

They should have definately included the hat and glacier glasses maybe even a bottle of JB, the hat might have been an issue due to the amount of sculpted hair and would have ended up looking funky. Mondo would then have to go the removeable hair piece or seperate headsculpt with hat option which would definately increase the price point. Now I wish I had done it for the showcase at the end of the review 🤣 Absolutely 💯 you can pose him crouching and very good he looks too, it takes a bit of futzing but the joints will take it and it doesn’t over stress the articulation. If so that is some outstanding work right there👏🏻 I’m James D in Wills group, I dont post as often as I used too…too busy making UA-cam videos 🤣 I get what your saying about the skull and the eyes, I was refering more to the skull itself than anything else, the desicion to omit the eyes was absolutely the right one imo. It looks fantastic in the conceptual art (have you ever been to the museum in Gruyere? it’s amazing😳) but like you say it adds to the inhumanity and mystery removing them. When they finally gave the hybrid eyes in Ressurection a collective laugh ran through the cinema, which I’m pretty sure was not the desired effect. Take care of yourself and happy collecting.

@@goFigure623 Oh man I wish to go to the Museum and bar some day. Long way from Oz! And yeah the newborn - I can see the thinking, but it just ended up looking like a guy wearing a skull mask and looking out from inside! I mean Amalgamated Dynamics did a great job (I have been there!), but it's one of those design things. And Chris Cunningham/Halls is a bloody genius and his dog Alien stuff on 3 from when he was a bloody teen for crying out loud is sickeningly great. But I think a lot of the dark humour of his art is hard to translate, especially the A4 stuff. His stunted clones were great though. And yeah that's the one, the juvenile. Printed up like crap though. The ones on my Insta are better (if you're interested!). They managed to stuff up the David's Drawings book too! And cool I'll know to look out for you in Will's group thanks! Cheers mate!
