      I have my car with no air blowing,but when I am turning the fan from 1to 4 levels all the lights on which means blower resistor works perfectly.Since no air blowing as i keep changing in the speed came with no air means blower motor fails .just please give the response if it doesn't sound good thanks again

      Unplug fan connector and test for power and ground directly at the blow motor while switching all fan speeds.

    On my ‘19 Pacifica, I have a similar issue, barely any air rushed out the vents unless the speed is 3 or above. I bought the car used and I did replace the cabin air filter which was super dirty and it had a broken blend door actuator. Replacing both these parts made it 100% better. But still, between 1-3 speeds barely any air comes out the vents. It’s as if the blower has to struggle to increasingly push out the air. It’s a whole lot better after replacing those parts, but at lower speeds I still can’t notice much difference in air mass rushing out the vents..

      you could have bad wiring or a bad blower motor are a bad blower motor resistor.
      thanks for watching.

    Wonder if the design of that resistor board is also to act as a thermal fuse.The contact you re-soldered looks "sprung". Perhaps the solder is designed to melt in the event of an overheat. Sometimes (especially in heavy snow & ice conditions) it's possible the intake cowl can become completely blocked, so in "fresh" their is virtually no flow/resistor cooling. Or it's quite possible I am talkin complete nonsense! Cheers Jeremy.

      no, what your saying makes sense. this is the second time i have change a blower resistor on to a kia vehicle, in 5 years. So I'm thinking someone one at the plant used the wrong solder or cheaped out lol... because there was practically no solder on the board. I just reused what was there.
      Thanks for the input. It's nice to see other people's opinion also.

    Good evening sir and nice to meet you!
    I have a vehicle (2003 DODGE CARAVAN SE) and im trying to apply a diagnostic test on it from how the book says to do it but im not comprehending it at all.
    Here is the test down below sir.
    Check for continuity between each of the blower motor switch input terminals of the blower motor resistor and the resistor output terminal.
    In each case there should be continuity.
    If OK, repair the instrument panel wire harness circuits between the blower motor switch and the blower motor resistor or the blower motor pigtail wires as required.
    If not OK, replace the faulty blower motor resistor.
    Are you able to please show me how to do that with a test light and multimeter sir cause i have both inside the vehicle and im stuck on the turnpike?

    Is there a way to take that or any blower resister and set it on a work bench, then test it with a basic multi-meter?

      @JLsAutoSolution  2 роки тому

      Yes there is, but that depends on the system and if the information is available.

    hi, I just changed the resistor . When i tried the fan, on setting 1 works, setting 2 blows alot, but on setting 3 it seems to blow less. Is this normal? Is there another problem i should check.

    • @JLsAutoSolution
      @JLsAutoSolution  Рік тому

      That sounds odd, 1-slow-2 alittle faster- 3 even faster 4 full speed. was it a oem resistor or a aftermarket one.

      @@JLsAutoSolution I bought it on amazon and all i can tell you is it said it fits my car. So i guess it could be because of the resistor? Seems like 2 and 3 are inverted. Is this possible?

  • @pnotermann
    @pnotermann 11 місяців тому

    If the problem was the broken solder connection, and you re-soldered it, why do you need to replace the resister pack?

    • @JLsAutoSolution
      @JLsAutoSolution  11 місяців тому

      Due to it the vehicle being under warranty, the company will not allow it to be repaired like that and wants us to replace the defective part.
      Thanks for watching.
