I have the BGD560-1 and it is an awesome watch. My wrist size is exactly the same as yours at 6.25”. This is also one of the few Baby Gs that come with 200m WR.
I have this Baby-G but in matte white. Also part of the small wrist gang (6 5/8" or 17 cm), so I appreciate watches that are on the smaller side. Dang, now I want a translucent DW5600...
I bet that white one is a looker. The translucent pieces are super cool, but I don't seek them out as much these days, since I worry about discoloration and have grown to no like the stiffer, more plasticky feel of the materials in the band. Always happy to see another smol wrist homie! Thanks for watching.
Excellent review. Now you owned that watch for 1 year how does it hold up? I have heard that the clear resin shocks can turn yellow from UV and weathering. Does this grey/black translucent resin have the same problem?
So, 100% transparency, I don't wear this piece super often these days. Too many watches, not enough wrist, etc. So it doesn't get a lot of wear and tear or sun exposure; thus, it looks exactly the same today as in this video. However, I've heard and seen how the clear material yellows, for sure. I do think, generally, the more colored transparent resins fare a bit better vs. the crystal clear ones. Sorry I don't have a better answer. If the yellowing would bother, I'd probably avoid most or all clear references. Anyway, thanks for watching! Appreciate the thoughtful comment/question.
With a compass feature is tough. I'd maybe search around for Casio ProTrek, especially JDM models; they make some smaller models that I've eyed before, for sure, and some of them have a compass feature.
You can have the backlight last for 1.5 or 3 seconds; it's adjustable. When in adjust mode, there will be a little star-like symbol that pops up in the calendar box, and that's where you change it (small star is less time, big star is more time). Thanks for watching!
I might try a Baby-G one day, eventhough I'm a guy, since as it turns out it was originally called Mini-G way back in the 90s and it was meant for people with small wrists, guys included. So it's not exclusively for women, but kids and, now I also found out recently, teenagers are allowed to wear Baby-Gs. So if you are man, and you have small wrists, if you want buy a Baby-G, then go for it. I don't know if Baby-Gs are cheaper than regular G-Shocks.
Right on, for sure. I always encourage peeps to wear what they like and not worry about the labels. Regular G-Shock is also starting to make smaller squares more often under the S5600 umbrella, so I can recommend those, as well. Baby-Gs often can be cheaper that regular G-Shock, but it depends on the references for both. Thanks for taking time to watch! Enjoy whatever you decide to rock. :)
Transparent tech will always break my neck. I just cant help it. It appeases my inner child
Absolutely. I'm always a sucker for it, too. Thanks for watching!
That purple one is beautiful! Glad to see some coverage on Baby-G, not much content on yt
Agreed! Baby-G has some real gems. Hoping to cover more in the future. Thanks for watching!

Rad, that's such a good one. There is some real treasure in the Baby-G line, for sure. Cheers and thanks for watching!

I just bought a baby g. I’ll let you know what I think of it.
Rad! Always keen to here. Color me curious on the reference/model. They keep pumping them out--so many options. Cheers!
hey, do you know of any smol watches with a compass feature? i’ve been trying to find one

What is the longest duration you can set the back light? (Need this for nursing - cant have it black out in a dark room!)
