+Georgia Seitz Online Needle Tatting Class, I would like to know how to add beads in different parts of the work, like, at the end of a ring, between picots, etc. Thank you for taking the time to making the videos, your voice is clear and, as English is not my mother tongue, I can understand everything you say. 😍😍

thank you for such kind words. I do have plans to make videos based on adding beads. It has seemed like life has thrown me a curve ball as they say. I am hoping and praying that this winter I will be able to get some more videos out.

Could you not use your big eye needle in place of the floss threader that you work into your stitches? Does the big eye needle open when needed? I have not seen a big eye needle as long as yours, I don't believe my little one would work but I would consider getting the longer one if that would work, or should I say two, one for each end :). Thank you for these videos, even though I have been tatting for a few years, it is nice to go back and refresh when you have been away for a few months. Have a very lovely day!!!

In this video, you started after you did the slt knot. This is my first day needle tatting and I’m having trouble finding a tutorial about how to do the slt knot. Is it featured in another of your videos? I appreciate your series and will be visiting a lot.

The shoe lace trick is as the name implies. you do the first half of tying your shoes. When you begin to tie your shoes you put one thread over the other and thru the loop that is the shoelace trick. On this video we completed the knot so we actually tied a square knot which is done left over right pull it down right over left pull it down and complete the knot. As a new tatter a regular knot will work and as you progress you will learn the square knot and begin to use it all the time. It takes time to learn so don't expect to see a beautifully correct piece until you get the hang of tatting. Until then Happy Tatting.

Why did you leave the long threads after working the ends into the rings? Why not just cut them when the ends where pulled thru? Thank you so much for this series!

+Rebecca Turner The reason you wait until the next element is in place is so that if anything loosens up while your tatting the next element it prevents the thread from slipping back and leaving a frayed end sticking up that you can't cut with the scissors. I hope that answers your question. If you have anymore feel free to ask. Happy Tattin

Hi! I Live your videos is teaching me a lot. However in this. Ideó you said to leave a 12 inches tail in the thread that it's going to be cut. I see you didn't use that much thread at all why then, it seems to me such a waste.

Hi Marisela and thank you for watching. In the video demonstration I didn't use that much thread because it takes awhile to pull it thru and didn't think anyone wanted to watch that happen. Also if I had of been making a complete motif I would of used the longer tail. The longer the needle tatted piece the longer the tail would have to be to prevent all the end hiding you would have to do. In needle tatting there is alot of wasted thread on the tail because there isn't a set science on how much to use for each individual piece.
