- Invictus Weightlifting Coach, Jared Enderton goes over how to finish powerfully and strong in the Snatch. Learn the phases on how to finish with an 'uppercut' and direct your power in the right direction. bit.ly/2veeAu9
See what it means to scoop/sweep the 'underphase' of the movement, shifting your hips underneath the bar, putting power up on the bar and creating more acceleration.

Awesome dude. Just what I needed.
Wow. Just clicked for me. Can't wait for my next session. Thanks!
That is awesome to hear!
This is the best breakdown on UA-cam... wow
Wow thank you so much, this explains one of the areas I been baffled about for so long how to control my bar from flying out and the proper "power" contact. Thank you again huge insight for me!!
So glad this was helpful for you!
This was amazing. Also, I wouldn't have hated to see Jared's full celebration after hitting a 300 lb snatch. That shit's impressive as hell.
This helped so much!!!! That hip jab is exactly what I do and causing me so many problems!!
Glad this helped!
That's class, I've never understood this and this has helped me massively. Thankyou
I love all their tips
We love hearing that, thanks!
This helped me soooo much, thank you
We are so happy to hear this was helpful!
This was very helpful for my coaching thank you!!
Awesome tutorial. Exactly what I was needing to improve my snatch technique . Thank you
This is really excellent. Great coach, great cues, makes me want to do the program.
Awesome to hear! We'd love to have you join the program! You can read more about it here: www.crossfitinvictus.com/the-invictus-weightlifting-program
I just go straight up with the bar and thats the problem and the reason why i only snatch 75kg.
Thanks for this video, i will work on this.
Glad this was helpful!
hanswurst1541 could you phrase it more woke, i only snatch 50kg :p
This is awesome!!! Thank you so much
Great tip!
nice
Is it just for snatch or can you use it for power cleans?
Same for both 👍
Jared, do you do the underphase for the clean as well? What is a way to practice/drill this movement?
Yep it’s the same for the clean! It just happens sooner. Just drill the motion in slowmo with an empty bar. Lots of hang snatches also help
Jarred does the "under phase" you explained for Snatch also apply to a Clean???
Yep it’s the same for both! It just happens a little sooner in the clean
Video start 5:20
does any one know if you can incorporate this trick in the clean as well? I have super long arms and the bar contacts my low thigh in the clean.
I have a question: how long after the Games will the athletes who competed return to a full training schedule? Thanks for all the great content, guys.
They will take the next few weeks off from structured training and will just do whatever they enjoy doing!
Do you use the hook grip or do you use the straps?
You can use straps but generally we use the hook grip
@@InvictusFitness_ Thanks a lot
Come on! This was just a video to show off your 300lb snatch :P
it is so clear from watching the great like carlos nasar, they do this weird "uppercut" after the bar passes the knees, one can only wonder why noone, in the 35 snatch tutorials i watched, mention this Oo ua-cam.com/users/shortsnt3U_bMxZTU
Awesome video, ty so much !
The "under phase" is called "double knee bend" and it is something that happens naturaly, you dont need to train specificaly for it to happen, just movements and postures before and after it.
Buy Greg everret's book about weightlifting so i dont have to cite his work and his words
Thanks Matej, I know Greg well and am a big fan of his work. That said, many coaches use different cues and coach things differently. We've had great success working with lifters using Jared's cues.
I have been following Jared for a long time in his WL carreer and he is a great weightlifter, and now with his succsses in CF games shows what a great sportsman je is. I agree that differrent cues work for differrent people, so its up to you to try them all, and use what works best for you
