this was so helpful to me... I used to own an RV and had to sell it. Soon I will be driving across country and to save money I want to sleep on the road and make as many meals as I can on the road also. Seriously not afraid. I've driven cross country about 12 times now and worked on the road about 15 years. I came across country in my RV by myself. I'm 72 and I made the last drive in my RV solo when I was 70. I know you just have to use common sense. Know where you're parking and if it doesn't feel right don't stay there. I now have a small SUV and I was wondering how to kind of set it up for the trip..this is such a great way although mine won't need to be as elaborate because I'll only be on the road for about a week and a 1/2 each each way. Great set up, thanks for the video
I love your channel so much. ❤ I have a difficult time listening to certain peoples voices. I love just the demonstration, decorating, car camping set up tips with music.😊
I’m concerned for you using a propane stove inside your rig. Do you have a carbon monoxide detector? Do you open the windows when you are using it indoors? Do you have a fire extinguisher?
Well done nicely appointed too. I don't think I would feel comfortable cooking outside with my vehicle open like yours did. Congratulations on your car camping adventures.
Sarah, I really enjoy the calmness and quiet of your videos. I've only seen two, but I'm enjoying how you are able to share everything without speaking.
You had another item w/ heater. What type of battery? Please from where. I love your van. You have definitely inspired this 65 yr. Old single woman . thank you 🌈👌🥰
I absolutely love how organized you are. Question for you..What do you use to hang up the curtains and balls? Where do you keep your food, do you have a fridge, or an ice chest? Where to you keep your clothes? Sorry about all the questions lol.. I love the pull out table. Where can I get one.. thank you
Hi Thanks for watching my video, Safety pins are used when hanging curtains or balls. Food is stored in an icebox, clothes and many items are keep in the trunk of the car floor. The kitchen table was purchased at homegood a long time ago.
I had a van build that was very simple. I used tiny bulldog clips and tucked the clips into the rubber and joins were plastic interior meets the upholstery lining on the ceiling. This didnt damage anything. And it meant I could take down and move around when I wanted to. At on time I also used paper clips also as I needed a small hook for the wires. Worked very well.
@@intelimoteintelimote7448 she has a video on her channel under her playlists that talks about the curtains. She pins the safety pin on the curtain and closes it. Then puts the pin in the plastic where the headliner starts.
Very nice! 😀 How do you prevent carbon monoxide poisoning when the SUV is closed up and you have the propane stove on? What do you use to keep the bugs, mosquitoes out?
I would never light a propane stove INSIDE an enclosed SUV.. especially that close to the ceiling.. 🤷♀️ also with that little heater.. what is she thinking?? not safe.. not safe at allllllllllllllllll
The answer is not obvious, if he/she kept the back hatch of the SUV open that would be one way. Otherwise, it's very very dangerous, not only for the fire but how fire sucks up all the oxygen. It's not the SAME as inside a large home or apartment. Maybe an electric cooktop is better for inside. I can recall 2 large camping events I've been to where the occupants of modern tents, died in their sleep because they used propane fire heaters. Died from lack of oxygen. When I saw the heater in this video, I got very nervous, when I saw a flame stove I just felt panic. Hope no one recommends to anyone to use a flame based product inside a small enclosed area like an SUV or tent.
On her other videos .. I’m pi$$ed she’s not telling us where to get the side unit lol but she’s using a portable power source like a jackery.. the other things you asked about are listed in her other van build videos
It's very nice but I would never feel safe being so opened up at night cooking outside. I guess I'm too old and would worry...but it is very cozy and organized!
If you look closely she brought in all the kitchen set-up inside. The back doors are closed... She can also store kitchen in the cabin passenger's seat and floor board for the night...
Secretariat Girl - Now that I read your comment closer I'm in full agreement with you Night Cooking 🍳 is not a good idea. Cooking requires your attention so it easy to be sneeked up on when focused on the flame 🔥 you are cooking over... You are a wise women...
Well done! Thank you for the video and sharing your design creativity. Are the curtains for aesthetics since you already have the window inserts….or still needed for privacy?
I think they give a homey ambience, & could also be used as a cheer cover for the back when you want a bit of privacy without taking the light out. I think that could work for me when I get my blazer going as my home. I love the minimalist arrangement she has.
What did you use to hang the curtains??? I need some ideas. I don’t want to use Velcro unless I have to. Thank you. Never mind I saw what you wrote below. Thanks!
What charging station are you using in this video? I love the fact that you've got a lot of outlets and its small! What is the voltage? Thank you.. Do you travel/camp in your vehicle or? Thank you for answering all of my questions!!
It is connected to the electricity provided by the camping site. I also want a portable power station, but the high electricity generation capacity one is expensive😂
Oh yes I loveeeeeee your setup ..oh my gosh that is the highest simplicity to functionality ratio I have ever seen.... I need to pay attention to how you got your bed frame set up.... Can I ask what kind of paneling you have for your windows is that reflectix because it looks thicker.... A year after my no build 2009 caravan sadly I still have not solved the window panel dilemma lol ... Thank you so much for sharing
Great video! I love the simplicity. I live in an area that only has bears running around, but has even more mosquitoes. So leaving it open like that would not work. Wondering about mosquito netting? Closing it up for sleep?
I've been taking ideas from SUVs because I'll be living in mine soon. It looks like we don't have many options. We have to downsize, especially, when you use it as your home for whatever period of time you need it & try to make the best of space available by having gadgets & gear that serve other uses.

VERY clever how you rearranged just a few things and made an outdoor cooking space. I am thoroughly impressed!
She does all of this just for her video esthetics. There is nothing realistic about her setup.
Wow JT, Way to be a supportive fan. Peace be with you

I’ve seen many van build videos but this is my favorite! KIS Keeping it simple! Love it!

Can I suggest getting a wind guard(usually for outside) but to make sure ur curtains don’t catch on fire when cooking and keeps splatters off them too
Such a cozy set up you have made there! Looks so inviting!

Still not clear on the safety pins part. Did you mean you pinned the balls onto the ceiling? So I assume the ceiling interior is made of cloth?

Hi new subscriber. Love the van build. Cute ideas.. where did u get the crates? And how did u hang the lights. Looks so uniform and clean
Do your lights in car stay on when doors are opened? How do you keep from draining your battery
She isn't going to get back to you, but, a D shakle on the connection of the back door locking mechanism shuts off the lights apparently
I also want to do that there... I'm from Brazil. 🇧🇷. I think it's really cool.
Could you please supply names & types of equipment & lights used. Stove? Heater? Small power source? Thx, *** it’s my 1st time!🙃🧐😳
Look like the 4 prong orange and gray one is a usb and ac 25 ft cord reel. Link2home is one brand that i saw.
Also curious about the power source.
She might be using someone’s electric to plug the extension cord reel into or a campsite that offers 30-50 amp service.

Depends on where. She is just at a campsite. That doesn't seem too bad to me.
You plan your last meal of the day early. Should be ready and set up to call it a day by 6pm or before dark at least.
You should be prepared have mace and learn other self-defense don't be a victim be a Victor! Enjoy yourself but be careful!
