Hi. I ve been learning camworks for a couple of months now and tried recently using 4th and 5th axis. How would you program to mill a pocket/hole on a flat surface but the hole goes through material along 40degrees slant to the Z axis.? I ve been trying to do it mysle but beginning to give up. Thanks

Ever consider a simple intake port tutorial for a head on a motor?

I have a question, when I create the Multiaxis Mill toolpath, the simulation runs fine. But when I try to post the gcode it does nothing for the Multiaxis Mill toolpaths, I get all the other code but it skips this set.

Probably the postprocessor and the milling machine does not support it, or the manufacturer of the CNC mill has not developed postprocessor for the 5 axis machining you use for CAMWorks

How do you get the spiral tool path to clean up the top of the hemisphere? In your demo, it did not cut the top of part and there’s no explanation as to how to correct it. Does the adaptive cut not work for spiral tool path?

Instead of using offset from surface, use offset from curve, and then using the curve button, identify the bottom edge of the part.

Some functionality is included with a SOLIDWORKS license, but for the most accurate pricing, contact us through goengineer.com.
