How do you change what tool is being picked by the Operation tool selection -> Use expression? If there are multiple tools that have the same diameter? For example, I have 2 tools that are 8mm one that has a flute length of 17 and one that is 32. I always want it to pick the sorter tool first. Changing the size of the tools seems like a poor workaround. bonus question. How do you get the tool expression to listen to the smaller radius corner it will be on the inside of? I have had lots of strategies where the tool becomes a 0.5mm end mill because there is a 0.1mm radius to remove a sharp corner. I think the base radius or finish radius is what I should use but I think I have used both. and had the same problem.
With the tool path generated at 16:07, how do you get it to clean up the center of the pocket? After applying the high speed rounded corners it steps away from the center and does two circles at the bottom, but would leave an island above them. I've never been able to figure this out.
There was not anything in particular we did in this example. To get a better answer I would advise getting in touch with your VAR's tech support team to look over your specific model and see if they can help you resolve the trouble.
