- 5-Axis CAM Programming tips from AutoDesk University 2019 were geared toward rapid prototyping, which is what all manufacturing entrepreneurs want to do!
The goal is to eliminate tedious steps and increase workflow efficiency. Even if you're a fast programmer, there are always new ways to improve---and hey, who doesn't want to be faster!?
Rob Lockwood, Laurens Wijnschenk, and Phil Butterworth (the_dr.phil_experience) gave incredible presentations and we want to share some of the takeaways. Please follow them on social media and watch their full presentations---they're free, they're incredible, so there's no excuse! At the end, we'll also share one of the craziest things we've ever seen anyone do at AutoDesk University!

The part placeholder idea is a great tip; so simple
John....thank you!!!! Another excellent video that is super interesting and informative!!! Thanks for sharing the knowledge.
That long board truck looks like a good candidate for powder bed AM with some finishing machining on the mating surfaces.
Fantastic recap. I approve this message and insist that you co-speak in any/or all of my future classes.
All of our classes should just be a 2 minute demonstration and then 58 minutes of JS recapping what we just did.
The placeholder, does that apply to 3 axis milling? Want to say you may have done a video on it before?
have you used 1186mfg tool holder idea in place of the star globe ?
8:00 mastercam mentioned, see you at the market!
Free classes link does not work.
Does Autodesk University cover Powermill at all?
Does anyone know if this is still possible using the derive function? It appears derive does not let you "nest" into a component.
I have never touched a cad/cam software yet. Where do I begin to try and learn this without having to dish out loads of cash for school?
Fusion 360 ist free for everybody i think. And there is an integrated learning path aka tutorial.
SOLIDWORKS IS SIMPLY..........EVERY SOFTWARE I THINK U JUST HAVE TO FOUND TIME TO PLAY WITH THE SOFTWARE
what is the best CAM Programming for 5 axis for FREE? :(
Why dont you mention your teachers..!!! Wes.....
Who else misread the title?
'no human involved at all'...not really a good thing if you have to earn a living.
