Truck looks way better de-badged. I took everything off except for the RAM heads. So much easier to clean and wax the truck too.

Love the black out look. My warlock is all blacked out. I tinted my tail lights with vivid light smoke ultimate gloss tint and worked out really well along w third brake light and mirror turn markers. Good stuff to work with.

Heat gun works great for badging and decals also rubbing alcohol loosens up most adhesives and permatex

I personally would have left all the badging off of it I think it looks cleaner. I had my old two and a half quad cab repainted and I left all the badging off of it looks much cleaner in my opinion.

I used a heat gun and a plastic pry tool. That double sided tape on the back of the ram 1500 badging was a nightmare to get off. Ended up just using heat and a plastic scraper.

I'd love to see your experience with tinting the tail lights. I did them on my old 2013 Laramie with VHT spray on tint. It came out, ok, I guess. From 5 feet it looked good, but up close it was kind of blotchy.

Looks great, thanks for all u do. I've been a longtime follower. Have a question, would u do a video on changing the e fan temp for the retro fit to the 5.7? I have changed a few things with the OBDLink MX+ per ur vidoes and all has worked well. I'm not sure I can with this scanner and u may tell me to purchase the HP tunner and proceed with this tool. What would u reccomend? Thanks again

The best thing I've ever used for any type of paint tape or tar or anything sticky for that matter is good old original WD-40 spray . it works amazing and instead of using a lot of elbow grease just let it sit overnight using a paper towel to stick it to the side of the vehicle kinda like a STICKY BOMB. If you've seen the movie "SAVING PRIVATE RYAN" not to be confused with "SAVING RYANS PRIVATES" you'll know exactly what I'm trying to say. It's perfectly paint safe and in fact, it was thought that it was originally made of mainly diesel fuel because of its slick and dissolving properties but that wasn't too far from the truth Mainly comprised of a base soil and petroleum distillates. So it's perfectly fine and paint safe. he remove is pretty well everything that's stick to a vehicle if it sit overnight for hard to remove emblem foam, double sided tape. It will leave your paint looking shinier than ever until wiped clean with warm DAWN soap and water. Due to its WD WATER DISPLACING Properties any moisture that's inside the tape will simply be Removed and taken up by the spray. You can also use a magic eraser standard strength to remove any surface film left over from the tape.

Ya know Jon, your job to remove those plastic emblems could be much easier if you use some adhesive removal. It doesn't damage your paint, just maybe the wax coating. You can find it at your local automotive paint shop or auto parts house.

Oh no so how long until someone told you nothing has to be replaced or removed with plasti dip? It doesn't stick to areas that have clearcoat. You can tape and spray all emblems right on the truck. Luckily I learned that from a Ram community prior to doing mine. It took me about an hour to get all my emblems blacked out.

@@randyvillegas9413 I love how you resort to insults, Apparently, I must explain my comment to you. My point was how many times has he plasti-dipped emblems and logos in his videos??? I can recall at least 4 videos where he's done it. It's BEEN done, and DONE AGAIN and AGAIN... I understand that he doesn't have the ability to work on his vehicles , but rehashing the same old thing does NOTHING to increase viewer ship. Without that this channel doesn't continue to grow.
Make sense now? BTW using lame urban slang to describe how it looks in YOUR OPINION does nothing to help make your point. I might not use the best grammar, sentence structure or choice of words. However, even when I chose to offer my opinion on how I feel it looks ON THAT truck. I also offered up something that might be of help to improve his content until he gets a shop and can finish the other projects he has that I am eagerly awaiting. Try being helpful instead of hateful, it might make your day better.

Will someone please explain to me the obsession with blacking out everything on a vehicle? Honestly it is a real question........I don't understand why everything needs to be blacked out......ya can't define the wheel from the tire looks like it's on hockey pucks....and if you choose to explain it.... don't be a smart ass or an asshole about it I am not a millennial or a Gen Y or Z

Folks like the "murdered out" look. That's what they call it. Lol. I have black wheels and black overlays on my emblems and badges that let some chrome peak thru, but that's it. It's like the way folks liked to Chrome out their vehicles or Harleys. Black is the new chrome! 😀
