Amazing, looks appetizing and beautiful, your recipes are no different from Belarusian cuisine. Greetings from a Belarusian tourist and a lover of delicious food!
Dave roll the top of the bag over and down before adding ingredients. It helps hold the bag open and keeps the zipper clean. Enjoying these cooking videos. Thanks
OUTSTANDING SIR!! There are so many things in the culinary arena that look simple on the surface...but, in actuality are not. Fried Chicken is definitely one of them. Good Fried Chicken is art work.
I ain't gonna lie, I thought I was the only one that Onion Soup Mix in their wash. It really does take it from "good", to "fantastic". I also like to use Buttermilk, and add some of my Hot Sauce, you can also use Adobo Sauce, to the wash as well. Pour some honey on top of that bad boy, I tell you what.
Ski, it’s what goes with dinner, and lunch and breakfast and anytime. Never thought I’d see a channel I follow that would feature Ski. Awesome channel. KY native
Loved the video, Dave! I’m from KY and I’ve had Ski, but never out of a cold glass bottle like that. These videos never fail to make me smile and super hungry!
Dave, me and the kids have been big fans of yours since your Dual Survival days. Am loving your cooking show; puts you right up there w/ The Galloping Gourmet, Charles Pepin, Julia Childs, and Martha Stewart. Last thing we got from your store was the titanium water bottle and nesting cup. Keep up the good work. --Trey, William, and Miku
Absolutely ski is the best soda there is! I'm from Southern Illinois about 30 minutes from ski headquarters and original bottling plant years ago I replace the roof on that place great video as always
Thanks Dave, most places in the states call it Soda I was surprised to hear you call it pop. That’s what us Canadians call it thanks buddy enjoy your weekend
Hey there Dave. I never thought of using the Onion soup/dip mix for chicken. Never dawned on me. I use it all the time mixed in ground beef for burgers and meatloaf, but, never chicken. Thanks for the idea. 🙂🙂 I'm gonna try this today. I have everything except the soul seasoning. I do have old bay though. And I have a cast iron skillet that needs seasoning as well..haha
Great video!. I also have to agree with SKI. I live in Columbus Ohio and when ever we travel to Vinton County Ohio to visit family we stock up on SKI and the version of cream soda GEM. Both are amazing.
Reminded me that I have a cast iron chicken fryer and a ten inch Wagner skillet, picked up at a yard sale, that need to be cleaned up and re-seasoned. Like the onion soup in the wash, may have to try that soon.
Isn't fried chicken something good! I had the best chicken tenders today for lunch/dinner at a store here in Pennsylvania today. You'd have loved it too. That soda looks really good. I have relatives over there in Ohio not far from where you are. I always enjoy watching your outdoor cooking videos.
Slaw burger, fries and a bottle of Ski... I like the chicken skin to crunch like a potato chip. Awesome video and it is a wonder Zahn doesn't weigh 50 lbs. Really enjoy these videos from you, Shawn and Matt.
Damn Dave, I ain't had Southern fried Chicken in over 30 years. Takes me back to when my Momma made it with deep fried coin sliced potatoes & cornbread. Thanks buddy... Now I'm hungry... Lol
Thanks for the heads up on the repellent. It looks and sounds like a good item to carry. I totally enjoy all of your videos. I've been a fan of yours since you were on "Dual Survival".
Shell is ok. Its just calcium. Heard it makes you fart though. Have an old cookbook from the high class of England and amazingly they call for adding the egg AND shell. They must like to fart. Anyways. LOVE southern chicken and biscuits. Oooooh boy. Thanks David for your countless vids. The bushcraft recipes are a great addition.
Must have been some sugar in the southern seasoning bc I don't think your grease was too hot. That's my guess on why it's darker brown bc the inside looks perfectly juicy. Great vid as always, Dave.
I have been drinking ski for years down here in Kentucky. Favorite drink. Perfer glass bottles but harder to find where I live but cans are in alot of stores.
My grandpa was from Jackson and he used to always bring us ski 😂 can't believe they're not all over the place. Next best thing is Grippos out of Cincinnati
Why am I hungry now? Anyway, I'll be heading to Kentucky from Michigan, so I'll have to look for the Ski and give it a try. Thanks as always for your videos! 👍👍
I am in pain watching you eat that chicken meal and I am not there having some. Everything you just made are my favorites. Zon even got some. Life is Good.

Delicious looking chicken there Dave. I always love watching your videos and the cat Zon(?) hanging with you. He's always curious what kinda meal you're cooking haha. Cheers Dave.
We have ski here in southern IL and you are correct… that shit is delicious! Gotta be in that glass bottle too. Thanks for all the great cooking videos dude.
Looks good Dave! Seriously loving this camp cooking series. I always love how your cat always hangs out with you on a lot of your videos too.
I believe that's "Zon" and he (?) was constantly trying to rub on me at a recent class and I really, really hate cats.
I believe cats are members of the land shark family.
@@michaelmaier7262 Lol typical of a cat they seem to gravitate towards the people who are not real cat lover's.
I click “like” because I know even before Dave begins that the video is going to be good. 👍😋
When they are more than pets, they are family and sharing a meal with them. Great video Sir.

Dave's cooking videos took his channel to the next level...
I hadn't had a taste for fried chicken for a while, till I saw this. I like the idea of adding the soup mix to the wash and using that as a marinade.
