Chicken fried steak is that one thing i HAVE TO HAVE when ever i visit America. No restaurant does it justice in Canada. Thank you for the recipe , i will be trying it.
Here on the island I have been really suck, like aortic aneurism and bleeding ulcers. Now I have severe anemia and go in for blood and iron transfusions. Grateful to be alive. I am seriously hungry on a daily basis and don't receive any good assistance. I went to caring and sharing and they turned me down. I have worked since 13 years of age and don't know where or whom to turn to, as it seems a did eat dog world. Someone gave me some eggs, but they were gone! Your channel "fills" me up with love, and I suppose that's just about all we have in the whole picture. Things are rough for many. A cup of coffee would taste real fine. God bless you. Miss K from the barrier island off the Gulf.
very nice. I like this skillet. i think some fried onions and some garlic / chili would eventually kick it up a notch, but the simple base also has its character.
I really enjoyed your video I've watched quite a few of yours I started watching you because I was watching corporal's corner and he said to check you out. I learned so much from watching the bushcrafting the cooking and the survival skills. I used to spend a lot of time in sharonville they brought back a lot of memories. I appreciate your efforts and I plan to donate in the future it's just now I'm not in good financial shape. Keep up the great work be safe leave no Trace Arizona Dave
Dave Canterbury are you familiar with "Everglade Seasoning" aka "Swamp Dust" ? You prepped, cooked and dished that meal up exactly as I would have myself. Thanks for sharing. And thanks for your commitment to your fans and subscribers. My hat is off to you for getting out in 97 degree heat to cook and make a video for us. Thank you.
My grandmother and my mother-in-law, both now deceased, would have loved watching you eat. They were both awesome cooks. My dad would have said that meal was good enough to make your tongue want to beat your brains out.
Some people call it soda pop. I know people that call it coke even if they are drinking 7 Up. When it's hot like this I mostly drink Vodka and lemon aid.
Where is this cooking school? Sign me up!!! Dave just realized all the youtube $$ is in food videos hahaha I clicked on this for squirrel gravy recipes
What you did here, Dave, is so good! What better way to enrichen a man's life, than to show new ways to feed his family? Also, what brand is that potato masher? I appreciate everything you do for my family, affiliates, and friends! I am very grateful for you.
Dave the dollar tree sells shelf stable gossners milk thats will last a year.1%2% and whole milk.1.25 a quart.it comes in pretty handy to leave in the pantry.when you live out in the country like we do.keep rockin those cooking video's.god bless
Dammit Dave...saw this episode this morning and it made me hungry. I had some boneless pork ribs that I pounded out...ran them through milk, then dredged in flour before frying. Boiled taters and mashed them. Made my gravy in the cast iron skillet I fried my pork cutlets in....damn they're good. Lol
Looks good! To answer the age old debate on soda/pop. Im from central NY (home of Hoffmann hot dogs and salt potatoes) 1here we call it soda but go out to Rochester/Buffalo its pop. They have a weird thing too calling hot dogs and conies, red hots and white hots lol funny how terms change only hr drive away.
You ever catch up with Cody? The hot weather is what makes me think about all the Dual Survival episodes you guys did. Cody should do an outdoor kitchen in his property in Prescott. You guys could do videos together that would be a pipe dream of mine. Or have him over to your place.
Hi DC & Cat.! We are cooking as well as watching you doing your magic. We're using goat instead of beef. Our gravy didn't turn out like yours but tasty & edible. We use baby potatoes, skinned of course! The meals is followed by an Amberley Chenin Blanc. The end result is Cowabunga matey.! Our recipe book is getting thicker mate. Cheers for the segment. Any chances of you doing a Curry in a Hurry.!? Greetings from Australia.
Wow you cooked just like me and my family and I love it. I love that setup of yours! It's to hot though. Idk how you could stand to be outside cooking in 97°F though.
Butter may not be a good option on a warm day like that, but ghee/clarified butter would do the job in the mashed potatoes. A little salt in them would have been nice. Probably the best meal you have cooked yet. Kids are leaving for Utah tomorrow. This might have to be their going away meal?
You made some chicken fried steak. I prefer to use just milk and no eggs for the coating, and then double dredge in the milk and flour. Gives a nice crispy, crunchy, craggily coating.
Looks mighty tasty dave. Keep the heat down that way. I can't handle that heat in northern mn. How the heck you wearing 2 shirts. My grandpa used two were long John's all summer!
Looks like David is catching up on all the good stuff he missed out on while foraging in the wild, nice!👊😂👌✨

Meanwhile as Dave flips the steaks and stirs the taters, kitty is on the prep table helping reduce that milk and eggs mix. 🐱
In my opinion that’s best episode yet. I’m an avid chicken fried steak guy myself. Nothing beats a cold soda on a hot afternoon. Much love Dave.
Yes! I love this new series! Thank you Dave, I love cookin!
We'll be making this real soon. Thanks for the recipe and give Zaun a pet for us.
The pop/ soda argument is timeless. Great video.
Great job, I liked it. Excellent cinematography and excellent directing. Thanks for the quality content! Grretings from Belarus tourist.
