Ever since I took environmental biology in college I look at ants a lot differently than I did before, ants are the worlds garbage men and unless they are invading your house you really should leave them alone. I used to hate ants with a passion and would destroy then anywhere I found them even way out in the wilderness, now I step over ant trails when I see them while hiking. Everything in nature has it's place in the ecology of the area so it's best to not interfere, not even to help as that can alter natural selection which is important to the survival of species.
I totally agree, but if you have fire ants in your yard and young children, it’s a problem. Older kids can learn to avoid ant hills but young children don’t pay attention to where they’re running. Some people are highly allergic too. This way is far better for the environment than regular insect poisons.
The best thing about baking soda as a poison is that it doesn't kill the earwigs and spiders that eat the insects that want to be rid of. Chemical pesticides build up in those things that prey on pests, so the pests wind up taking over. This means the more pesticide you use, the worse the infestation becomes.

I second this. Humans eradicating everything because it's "on their lawn" is such a narrow minded way of living your life.
Live and let live.

@@honeybear6647 Ture there are exceptions to any rule.
That actually works?
A bowl of water with a smaller bowl in the moat with a small piece of fried chicken in a plastic bag , can't get in yet drown, plus we salt water 😢😂😮😅
Does anyone know if this works with earwigs/pincher bugs?

Yeah what about the roaches that fly that live on the bottom of the vegetation. Should say very broad statements.
I will try this 💯
Also combine it with MSG. That is real poison for them... 😂❤
❤got to try this 😊😊😊
would be smart to stand opposite of the wind if you do this fellow people
just because *you* can't tell the difference between baking soda and sugar doesn't mean ants can't
Just because you can, doesn't mean the ants can.
Lowkey looks like crack😂😂😂
