I loved the addition of the Flying Sub. However, when they did so, the size of the sub shrank in size by one half. The removed the control room forward bulkhead(s) so that the crew in the control room could react to sea monsters attacking the nose of the sub. But now (as in this model) the periscope and hatch that goes up the conning tower are no longer aligned.
I'm getting ready to built the same model. Bought the light kit from monsters in motion and decal kit from paragraphix. It looks like you did something similar. What color did you paint the bottom of the hull? They suggest camouflage gray but I'm having a hard time finding it. I like the color you used?
