John William's music IS movie magic, because it tells the story, and sets the pace for each film. Scene, and draws us in as an audience. I can close my eyes, and it's as if I'm on a cinematic journey from beginning to end.
Itzhak's violin was literally crying.. best live performance I've ever seen. I now believe all the legends about Paganini making people cry with just his violin
When that guy plays the violin for a shinlers list, how can you not cry? I don’t remember the movie, but when hearing that it makes me feel when the Jewish people were taken from their home, rest in peace, all the victims of the Holocaust and prayers for the remaining family members. God bless you all.
I can't imagine what John Williams must have been thinking and feeling while listening to this beautiful performance. I mean he wrote this piece, one of the greatest musical piece of all time. My god...
De lujo John Wlliams!! Los merecidos homenajes se dan EN VIDA a quienes han aportado su arte al mundo, eso estar agradecidos.con ellos y dárselo a conocer públicamente. Thanks so much!!
FUN FACT: Elton John composed the music for the songs in the Disney film, "The Lion King." Guess who provided the singing voice of the adult Simba? The son of composer John Williams, Joseph Williams.
@@jamesmoyner7499 sure... Pity. As someone who prays a lot you sure use the word "hell" like any good devout believer. Me, I tend to see someone who uses the word hell as an asshole. And anger? No dude your question was far more volatile than mine. I simply told you to read more carefully next time. That's not anger, that's simply an advise.
The Empire Strikes Back, Home Alone, Saving Private Ryan, Harry Potter... even the scores they didn't have time for would make him a worthy candidate for this award.
@Dance4lifexox Completely agree! It's like every tune John Williams writes instantly becomes iconic and known across the world. No matter what language you speak or where you live, you can just hum the theme to Jaws or Harry Potter or Indiana Jones and people will recognize it. Amazing, amazing man.
While I know this honor took place in 2004, it's a shame the score to Harry Potter wasn't included in this beautiful medley. Not only had the movies already been out for a bit over 3 years, but Hedwigs Theme would soon become one of the most iconic tunes in movie history. Regardless Williams is a true artist that is hard to come by.
There was one glaring omission. NBC commissioned JW to write a new theme song for them about the time of the Statue of Liberty restoration. They still use it.

@@jamesmoyner7499 yeah well, there's no need to be such an asshole while asking then you don't get the same treatment.
