The first day I saw Star Wars, I was 12 in 1977 and I have NEVER seen any movie like Star Wars EVER! I loved it so much, I got my father hooked! He loves Darth Vader! Thank you George Lucas!
I still remember the first time I saw Star Wars. When the scrolling stopped and STAR WARS jumped onto the screen and John Williams' crescendo hit at the same time. It totally blew me away. My father was visiting me and I took him to see it and now that he's gone from me, am so glad that we got to enjoy this incerdible experience together.
Why this made me cry? Because I was born into liking Star Wars as a child. Thanks dad for introducing me to this world. Thank you George for creating this.

Look everyone......look at what he has accomplished. Star Wars Indiana Jones Pixar Studios And the hundreds and hundreds of films aided by his company into the annals of cinematic epicness. I understand folks HATE Disney's trilogy. It was hard to witness tampering of something held so dear. Though I completely enjoy each of the 3 new ones, I can see what people are upset with. Their problem was they tried. DO OR DO NOT. Considering the insane success with Marvel, and that little Pixar company under Disney.....the release of The Mandalorian, and its success....I have great hope for the future films. If they care for Star Wars the same way they care for Marvel and Pixar, the same way George Lucas cares for Star Wars.........the future will be brighter in that galaxy far far away.

The reason is he thought people would laugh at the "I know". I can understand why he felt that way as he doesn't really use one liners and tongue-in-cheek moments in Star Wars. They're very old fashioned in the 30's and 40's style. To his credit though he understood it worked after the first screening and had the moment reoccur with Leia saying it to Han in the next film. 🙂

He doesn't want to linger as Star Wars is meant to be a silent film and like a documentary. It's R2's story as he's relating it to the Keeper of the Whills for the Journal of the Whills. Jar Jar is also more akin to the fool in mythology. He's also like C-3PO. They're comic relief in fun ways that aren't making fun of people or that are cynical. That's what George wants to avoid as that has a more modern and ironic edge to it. I can see why he'd want that for kids as it's much more positive and promotes a certain self-esteem. As adults we tend to understand the nuances of these things more but kids don't.

THX is amazing. I know Dolby Atmos is all the rage these days but... THX films and movies sound better. There's an atmos version of T2 and when you compare it to the THX version of T2, it's not even close. THX is way better.
And nowadays Razer (the gaming peripheral company) owns the THX brand. I remember when it was pure quality back when Lucas owned it, like the T2 days as you mentioned. Nothing against Razer's mice and keyboards, which are fine and I've used several, but they aren't a pro-audio company. Any headphones/headset I've tried of theirs has pretty much sucked compared to anything Sennheiser or Audio-Technica.
