Das ist die höchste Kunst des Geigenspiels. Danke an Itzhak für das hervorrr agende Violinspiel und auch an den Komponisten für die schöne Komposition.
What I have always loved about Perlman's playing is that, unlike that of old maestros like Heifetz or Kogan, it's so accessible to the layman audience. I don't mean to say that his music lacks sophistication or anything - far from it. I think we tend to forget that music was meant to be enjoyed by everyone, and not only those who have honed their taste for it through learning classical violin, piano, etc. As a means of communication, it's incredible how clearly Perlman always conveys what is in the music.
I know didley about classical music. I know one piece that I love , violin concerto in E minor, then I happened onto Perlman; his playing is clear and Levine allows it to happen. Perlman is fun. I listened to this piece by other artists and Ishy ,that's what we called him, stands clear in his playing. he also probably has the best recording equipment.
I wonder how many will agree wirh me that this video is one of the most exceptional performances of Itschak Perlman. There are great performances of this composition by Pablo Saresate, but this one stands out as my favourite.
Thanks for your opinion. I won’t differ with you. I just happen to love this particular performance. I never compare violinists against each other. It’s possibly his personality which appeals to me. He is an absolute master of his profession.
Whenever I hear music such as this I'm never quite sure who to compliment, the composer or the musician. Alas, of course the answer is both. By the time I hit my mid teens I knew that I had totally blown being a child prodigy. Thank you Mr. Perlman for being you and bringing such beauty to us.

I wanted to add more comments to my previous comment. Mr. Perlman's "three finger bow hold" is another amazing thing I've seen on this video and others. He hardly uses his index and pinky fingers, despite his sound is so dynamic and yet sweet and warm full of emotion. Mr. Perlman is my favorite violinist! My 40 years of interest in classical music, I see there's nothing Mr. Perlman can't perform! From the day's just when the stereo cassette player came out in the late 70's in Japan, but high quality recordings of classical music in stereo was expensive (in the range of $30 per tape with only one piece. i.e Beethoven 4th). Now with internet, TrackID, etc. I can find so many piece that I couldn't find before and now even with video! No more moving parts! Everything records onto memory card. Things have really changed in such a short time. I am so lucky I lived to see Mr. Perlman's performance on video before I die! Thank you so much for posting such great pieces by Mr. Perlman!
Both of his hands are so dynamic. His bow hold changes to match what he playing. His left thumb wraps and unwraps constantly. So cool. He just does what the music requires.

Infine, non può che elevarsi a Colui che tutto ha dato agli esseri umani per amarsi gli uni gli altri con qualunque mezzo e risalire a Lui lasciandosi divinizzare. 🤗🙏💐❤️
Only a man who only talked with his violin about his sorrows, happy monents, secrets, pains and dreams and cried and laughed with it for all his life gets to this point where his playing is the sound form of emotions and as free as dreams that can fly freely, and lightly like a bird.
I cannot tell you how many times I've come back to listen to Itschak Perlman play this fantastic composition. He performs it so magnificently No wonder he is counted among the world's top violinists. Such a down to earth person too.
👏👏👏👏 What impeccable and purity of notes he extracts from his finest fiddle. Has been considered the best violinist today, or at least, he was one of the best ever. My sincere congratulations Mr. Pearlman. 👌👌👌
And now... I'm totally speechless.

The sense of humor, warm and passionate sound, perfect technique, great performance.
This is Itzhak Perlman and he’s been my idol since I started playing violin.
I love it and thanks for uploading this video.
I like this music, and this been played by a virtuoso!!! With gypsy music you can bring many deep feelings out the violin. It’s romantic listening music !!! Thank you !!! L.M.
G'day! Just watched this again today and can see that Mr. Perlman is enjoying every minute of this expressive piece. It's almost as if he's laughing and his name suits him well. Itzhak, or Isaac, means laughter in Hebrew.
