I had a stuck emulsion tube as well. Put the carb in my Hornady ultrasonic cleaner with some simple green for a cycle. Followed up with some carb cleaner, then put the jet back in and applied a little torque. Removed the jet, and the emulsion tube broke free super easy.
I use 6m threaded rod to make disassembly and reassembly easier on that carb. Take one of the bolts out, thread rod in, take the other bolt out, thread 2nd 6m rod in. You can leave them in if you want and just secure carb with 6m nuts or remove them one at a time and reinsert long bolts. Good video
Ya I saw some dude doing that on a Honda vertical and thought what a great trick. This guy makes it look not too bad but anyone who has worked one of these knows better.
I put one on a homemade hydralic unit and having some issues with it running erratic and stalling out. Just popped in to see if I could pick up any tips. I'm tempted , especially now to just get a new carb to throw on it. Then I'll get the fuel pump, lol.
I can usually get the emulsion tube out by pressing from the top with an Allen wrench. Sometimes they won't budge.Don't forget the pilot jet under the plastic cap.
I had my carb cleaned, ran when I got it back from shop. Ran it. Ran it completely dry as we’ve had problems in past with stale fuel. Filled it with new fuel today and the f’ing thing again will not start. I’m about to just give up on it. Spends more time in shop than in use.
Think it's a fuel problem? Just shoot a quick spray of starter fluid. If it fires then see if fuel is getting to the carb, the fuel should be in the bowl. If it isn't then fuel pump. If it is dirty carb. Sometimes they are so gummed up you almost have to replace it.

Yessir! I do that as well. Makes it so much easier to slide all the various gaskets and spacers on there one at a time.Everything stays in place.

Anyone know the pre symptoms of the fuel going on these? Or does it just quit….then nothing?

I have this engine on a Simpson pressure washer and I hate it. It's by far the hardest engine to start I've ever owned.
