Identifying One Clone from a Pool of Cells

When producing a therapeutic protein, scientists must engineer a cell line that has optimal growth characteristics and that produces large amounts of high-quality therapeutic protein. It explores how scientists use the process of transfection to introduce the nucleotide sequence that encodes the therapeutic protein into host cells to produce pools of transfected cells.
