Why Reason?

As an introduction to the context, purpose, and basic components of reasoning, we follow a young woman named Maya trying to make an important decision about her future. Putting her reasoning skills to use, Maya seeks to balance scientific evidence, alternative perspectives, and knowledge about herself to arrive at an overall understanding of her situation and thus, hopefully, a wise choice about which career path to pursue.
