Aboult the colour. One reson why the white may be so popular may be because the first Type R ever built was the NSX Type R. And it was released with the championship white. So if you are a true Type R entusiast you may think the championship white is the true Type R color. My FK2 is white i might add. awesome car and nice review.
Just found your channel today, completely by accident..! What a nice channel, very good videos too! This one in particular has some amazing footage! Very professional, well done! Enjoy your Honda! Greetings from Greece!
Nice review, you forgot to lift the rear seats upwards as to show the magic seats, although I understand it doesn’t have the locking mechanism fitted to hold them up. I personally plan to get one and install / register a 3 seat bench
First of all - nice review! A few fact mistakes - the EK9 was the first Type-R actually, not the EP3 etc, but no problem :) I was actually considering buying this car two years ago, but for me a couple of issues with this car were so big, that I decided not to do it. Not going to talk about the small cons too much, because all of the cars in this price range are flawed in their own way and if you want a hot hatch, which actually does everything you have to go for the boring Golf MK7 / MK7.5 GTI anyway. It's also Jeremy Clarkson's everyday car and I suppose he knows a thing or two. The problem with the Golf is, that if you want a decent level of excitement you have to go for the Clubsport, which in a proper spec is super expensive and rare. The R (aswell as the four wheel drive Cupra) is fast (especially whem remapped), but the four wheel drive system totally ruins the feel of the car for me, as it resembles more of a bigger 4wd car of some sorts, than a nimble small hatchback. The Focus RS didn't do it for me at all, the seating position (as you mention) is almost unbearable. The biggest problems I had with the Type-R: 1. Front wheel drive!!! As all petrolheads know, fwd only excists, because it's cheap to make and that's a fact! I have never heard of a sportscar (not even going to mention supercars or hypercars) that has fwd. They don't, because it's very limiting power wise and even with a proper limited slip diff, they are a bit on the boring side. I personally need to have the ability to drift my car if I feel like it. 2. Cabin noise. How did Honda manage to do a car, that's so noisy. I can handle all the cheap plastic, weird and outdated infortainment systems etc, but the cabin noise makes the FK2 seem super cheap in my opinion, it resembles cars from the 90's. I was lucky enough to try it on a highway and it damn near drove me crazy. Of course you can turn the stereo up, but that's not excactly the best aswell :( Everything else is either good enough or fantastic. The car I actually bought was a BMW M135 btw :) At the time the price was very similar.
Fair comment but I just want to reply with a few things myself. I just sold my 2013 Mini Cooper JCW and bought a FK2 Type R. 1. The FK2's Cabin Noise is mainly to do with the tyres. For some reason Continentals are always super noisy for some reason. 2. Yes Front Wheel drive is cheap to make but it's also practical, less space is needed. It's why the FK2 has almost twice the bootspace than your M135i. Also regarding FWD sports cars, there's no point as modern hot hatches are effectively sports car. The difference between a pure purpose built front wheel drive sports car and a small hot hatch (Like my old Mini) would probably not be noticeable as front wheel drive basically limits your engine to a 4 or 3 cylinders.
You say you like to have cars that can drift yet you can't drift an m135i it has an open diff you need to fit an lsd. Who cares if supercars don't go fwd the fk2 is still more of a focused car than an m135i and beats it round a track
Fwd is not only cheaper but it is also more confidence inspiring. Also it is a lot more controllable on loose ground hence why fwd gained so much success in rally and why Audi Quattro is fwd bias
Of course it helps. The difference is obvious. It is always better to have LSD. Regarding FN2 only Championship edition had LSD as a standard. Regular FN2 doesn't have one.
Nice honest review showing what the cars like to live with instead of someone just thrashing the arse off it , keep up the good work and thanks
Time for a new video of this car if you still have it ?

I have the same car with the same color. But how can you do that with 6.9 liter/100km. My best record is 7.2 liter/100km...

Привет бро как тачка. Я просто мечтаю о ней
Does the LSD help with snow driving ? I.E is it better in snow than the regular Civic without the LSD ?
@@fcukthenicks I think that FN2 doesnt have it as standard. It has only around 200 BHP so it is not essential.

What Winter Wheeler do you have in CTR , 19 "? Michelin , Conti ?
