oh yeah i learned a few seasons ago that negativity can totally kill your momentum. for us average players. you get distracted, not concentrating, doing dumb things like launching head long into fights you can't win, ignoring radar cause now your like a tilted poker player raising when clearly the odds are not in your favor. I've had to recognize that when i got mad it was time to quit. I'd stop for the night. I'm talking before solo comp. And this run through i even literally took like 5 minutes and use my laptop between games, to clear my postmaster, look at videos, porn, lol. I swear it kept me from getting too excited. In fact it was an accident because i only started doing that when i was on a streak and then ran into a team that clearly out matched us, then re-cued and got them again, got destroyed, re-cued and got them a third time. So i started waiting for a few minutes between every match to make sure i didn't face the exact same opponents. One time getting outmatched was tolerable but i lost my whole streak on that mess.
Really like that you showed us the whole journey, not just a bunch of highlight clips that makes it look like you played thumbless potatoes 100% of the time.

I’m so close, I played one session and got to 4000, might get nf this season Update, got NF last night (my second comp session this season) Was playing with a friend and now I got the MIDA catalyst to drop too.
I just want to say thank you for both spending time not only providing your strategy narration the entire time you were playing but also being so chill the entire time even when you had some bad luck moments and people on the opposing team being disrespectful. It's refreshing.

Absolutely astounding actually, and while I do not name myself a "God at PvP" I have been named so many times by friends and online players, from my extensive history with CSGO and also the many hours I've put into the many iterations of the CoD franchise, and I still had much to learn from your particular playstyle and the way you make plays and handle certain situations. There are many times in this video in which I knew in my head I would not have won the 1v1 or 2v1 and so on, but you did and not only that but you talked through what you did when you did it which IMMENSELY helps to grow and expand other people's knowledge as a player. Me and my buddy went 5500 in two play sessions last week; we agree that Comp. is probably too easy atm, but at the least, the higher-than-ever forgiveness is seemingly getting WAY more people interested in the Comp. playlists, and Solo Queue Comp. is LONG overdue but nonetheless great to have and healthy for the PvP scene. Also as a side-note; I like Randy’s a lot so far, but I still think they can go back to making Pinnacle guns and that be a better course of action. Pinnacle guns never needed to be broken good like NF/Mountaintop/Recluse, there’s a middle ground they can find imo while still offering up interesting exclusive trait perks.
I don't think it's to easy I think you guys are thinking of comp wrong. Comp is not something you play once and cast aside it's something you play every time you want to play PvP. It's meant for those who want to fight opponents on their level and not new players in a chaotic game mode. Bungie hoped to give the strongest players a home but most likely it will be as it was before but instead the skilled players will return to clash and control even sooner.

I just wanna say thank you to frost. I finished the ace of spades quest recently (I bought forsaken a month to some weeks ago) and using it with this load out (had to substitute some guns) is amazing. Going through the quest really improved my headshots in crucible and this vid was the reason I wanted to get it in the first place. Now I actually have fun when I play PvP. Thanks frost and keep dominating.
honestly i like it cause people like to stand in choke points on the upper walk way and the doorways across from B flag which makes them easier to kill for me. if you get to the center first you are in a power position because they can't peek either without you popping them, mountain topping them, grenade spamming them. also it's easier to control heavy cause it's right in the middle and everybody goes there. Also if you get a team wipe the spawns are pretty predictable, if your team crosses heavy it's gonna spawn flip and they are sitting ducks. Also there are decent areas to flank if they are occupied shooting from their spawn into that middle doorway. I actually did very well on that map. I hate convergence, though i didn't do to bad on that one either.
It's a pain in the ass map to play in if you have a very uncooperative team or just bad teammates, especially since it's a kinda map that needs assistance to watch all the sight lines. And yea, if you lose mid map, getting it back is a real pain in the ass if you aren't used to doing 1vXs.

I have had so much fun doing solo comp! This is the best addition to the PvP hands down! I got to 4100 in two sessions but I’m starting to stall. I’m going to try reach 5500 but I’m doubtful. One thing is certain, 3v3 solo comp > 6v6 playlists
6v6 is like mayhem now! I get so frustrated when I jump in control now. Classic mix seems to be a bit better though. As long as I'm not on a losing streak, I mostly just play comp. It's so much better now. Full agreement

i got my Not Forgotten last night. I did all in the solo playlist. I'm pretty proud of myself. I really had to learn to play to get Luna's. I failed one season only getting to 700. Then the next season went to "youtube get-good at destiny class" looking at all kinds of videos. The following season i got Lunas. Then recluse the next season. and this season I applied all the lessons and I got Not Forgotten last night. Probably the hardest thing i've done in gaming cause it's really the culmination of months of learning and application on how to play smarter and better. got to 5330 and then fell back to 4900 trying to play when i was tired after like 1AM. Next day i got back at it, got a 4 or 5 wins streak going and it was cake. Also luckily I didn't know legend was 5400, thought it was 5500 cause i'd have been pissed if i'd know i was literally one win from it and fell back to 4900. I might have dwelled on it and played worse. But after a night sleep i got my swagger back. Put on some Ice Cube and started wreckin'. Good luck to anyone else going for it.
Unfortunately this season was to help alot of people that dont deserve to be legend get legend , ur not losing much glory until hitting a certain point it was much harder seasons before. Bungie making the game free and making comp easier was a marketing scheme to feel more rewarding imo to not let people quit.. this is unarguable.
rack good points but gonna have to disagree. I agree with the “free guns for everyone” kinda thing and not “work for it” guns. I think it’s great the new people and people who struggled with the meta of forsaken can get these god tier weapons.

I couldn’t agree with stuff that keeps coming out from you in the middle of the session, hunter jumps are absolutely nutty. It blows my mind that hunters have ever complained about neutral game when they have dodge AND their jump. Crazy.
@@fuzzy3383 you can win gun fights without it. Its called wormhusk plus arc battery and it still has the same effect. Or you can run warlock bottom tree nova or well of radiance you can still have the same effect. Top that off with recluse and a sniper or a handcannon and you still dont have to use one eyed to win.

Other games with similar comp point systems are usually like this for the first season. Next season should be more "competitive"

In my path to legend I must’ve gotten wormhaven 70% of the time, it’s a godawful map and I can’t stand it anymore

Der Red It’s a map that has very little counter play. Once a good team gets mid control, it’s over for the other. Not very fun to play at all.

I have had so much fun doing solo comp! This is the best addition to the PvP hands down! I got to 4100 in two sessions but I’m starting to stall. I’m going to try reach 5500 but I’m doubtful.
One thing is certain,
3v3 solo comp > 6v6 playlists
6v6 is like mayhem now! I get so frustrated when I jump in control now. Classic mix seems to be a bit better though. As long as I'm not on a losing streak, I mostly just play comp. It's so much better now. Full agreement

i got my Not Forgotten last night. I did all in the solo playlist. I'm pretty proud of myself. I really had to learn to play to get Luna's. I failed one season only getting to 700. Then the next season went to "youtube get-good at destiny class" looking at all kinds of videos. The following season i got Lunas. Then recluse the next season. and this season I applied all the lessons and I got Not Forgotten last night. Probably the hardest thing i've done in gaming cause it's really the culmination of months of learning and application on how to play smarter and better. got to 5330 and then fell back to 4900 trying to play when i was tired after like 1AM. Next day i got back at it, got a 4 or 5 wins streak going and it was cake. Also luckily I didn't know legend was 5400, thought it was 5500 cause i'd have been pissed if i'd know i was literally one win from it and fell back to 4900. I might have dwelled on it and played worse. But after a night sleep i got my swagger back. Put on some Ice Cube and started wreckin'. Good luck to anyone else going for it.
Unfortunately this season was to help alot of people that dont deserve to be legend get legend , ur not losing much glory until hitting a certain point it was much harder seasons before. Bungie making the game free and making comp easier was a marketing scheme to feel more rewarding imo to not let people quit.. this is unarguable.
rack good points but gonna have to disagree. I agree with the “free guns for everyone” kinda thing and not “work for it” guns. I think it’s great the new people and people who struggled with the meta of forsaken can get these god tier weapons.

I couldn’t agree with stuff that keeps coming out from you in the middle of the session, hunter jumps are absolutely nutty. It blows my mind that hunters have ever complained about neutral game when they have dodge AND their jump. Crazy.
Run a hunter then its the only thing that will keep you alive

@@fuzzy3383 you can win gun fights without it. Its called wormhusk plus arc battery and it still has the same effect. Or you can run warlock bottom tree nova or well of radiance you can still have the same effect. Top that off with recluse and a sniper or a handcannon and you still dont have to use one eyed to win.
@@alanbrown901 those choices aren't any better(as in they're also way too overpowered),this is the reason it is so stale and many(not all but a fair amount) only do it for the pinnacles/ritual weapons.Going against the same stuff over and over again isn't fun and if you aren't using the meta,you're almost guaranteed to get destroyed by to meta

Well good players make good things even better so it wouldn't be fair to normal players to nerf it further. OEM is strong, yes. But it's in a pretty good spot rn. Coming from a Hunter main.
