Everyone missed with that skate clip that eager edge was active. It was using the bug where that applied to lighting surge.
Is it still a thing?
Yeah, I just tried for a few minutes to replicate it, I cannot see blink actually affecting anything, and it's much less movement. More similar to a normal eager edge swing or something. Definitely needs the eager edge bug to work to full effect
That being said, it's still a nice movement boost you dont need any ammo to do

Triple Tap + Focused Fury on that thing is a monster, as long as you can keep landing headshots you'll get 3 taps eventually even without kills.

There’s a bug in PvP that allows you to proc eager edge on melee. If you look he has eager edge proceed while hes electric melee into super
^ This + Blink counts as a class ability still in some spaghetti :) Also it is not only PVP!
Possible with most relics like Aegis or kf relic

I remember being on the receiving end of something similar to that clip. Got froze by a Warlock super, and before he got the shatter off, they DC. Still got sniped, but hey.
you mentioned mulling around the idea of a final 0 to ascendent challenge during a stream, I have the perfect modifier for you, 3 class run, either swap between your toons after every match or swap to a different class when you go from 3-2-1 and silver-gold-platinum-ascendent.

Reason to lean there is to as you swing in r6, it moves the camera and you can shoot and get peekers avantage. This means that you can see the person before they can see you fallout
For some reason, knights just get launched off the map pretty easily. It's especially annoying and altars of sorrow since if they go off the edge, they instantly teleport to the altar. And, yeah, stasis crystals especially launch them pretty easily.

Needle-skate??!!!?!!!?!!!?!?!!?!? After watching the full clip and not just the first few seconds of the video I realized how that guy did a needle-skate, it was a bug and i am pretty sure Bungie patched it in act 3 of echoes but if you activated eager edge with a sword then any sort of melee would have the increased distance like in the clip he used the arc slide with the increased distance and then used needle storm
Definitely close and very much NOT patched (I submitted a bug report they've yet to open) but the trick with it here is Blink is still coded in the game as a class ability :) so it qualifies for transferring the perk over similar to the bug. On a side note you can still do a skate with lightning into needle, just a bit less range, Needleskate carries all prior momentum

The guy at 3:25 was using a perk called mountaineer which pretty much just voids all fall damage.
God, every once and a while, people almost make me want to play destiny again... almost
Speaking of glaives, I use Winterbite in the crucible as a strand karnstiens warlock. Melee all the way baby.
I get to keep my primary and kinetic weapons and I get a glaive melee and when do you really get a chance to use heavy ammo. I still get some kills with the projectile.
FINALLY, SOMEONE DID THE FOCUSED FURY IKELOS HAND CANNON THING.
I've seen that potential from day 1 with its origin trait reloading its mag on shield break, especially with triple tap.
But I'm really bad with 180s! so I can't do it myself.

Storm's edge is actually bugged in the new onslaught. You will through the blade but you won't blink and swipe around.
