@@Supcharged well I agree the beautiful cars technology but now they're using electric cars and hey if cost cutting is what they need to do then I'm all for that I've been watching these races for so long
I’ve always wanted Lamborghini to do well in Motorsport. Loved the v12 engines in F1, then moved onto success with Gt3 and to finally have them tackling Le Mans and IMSA in the top class is just a dream come true for a fan like me. It will take time, we all know how complex these cars are but p2 so far in practice at Sebring is a good start. Good luck to the team and wishing you well. I used to support Mazda, will proudly support the Lamborghini 😊….just get the teamwear on sale! 😂
If it performs as it did in Qatar, there are a lot of work for Lamborghini. Iron lynx may need to learn more for setup and balance The fact that it's the only hypercar to use a Ligier chassis could be interesting for upgrades
I like him as a person but as a driver he's just a bit too sketchy and the reason he lost his ride in Indy car is because it was difficult for him to finish a race
just got home from my first ever #imsa #sportscar race event. the 12 hours in Sebring Fl. I'm still on cloud9! what an amazing time and experience the whole vibe, comradery of us racing people is alive and feeling like the future of racing is on another upward growth as well climb up! I love seeing the whole motorsport community .. coming together for the love of racing.
The European car industry that cannot make small cheap simple sporty cars that are fun to drive and can be easily maintained using cheap parts and basic tools, disappears further up itself than ever before.
I am glad they made it and are competing with it, but it looks pretty dumb, IMO. Not that that really matters if it's fast, but still...cool looking cars is part of what makes racing cool. I don't know why I don't like it. It just looks like they asked a designer to combine a road legal with a prototype race car and they just cheated and used AI.
Maybe I will warm to it over time...plenty of cars I've turned my nose up at at first and grew to love. Don't get me wrong, it's still cool af and I would fawn over it if I got up close in person.
"It just looks like they asked a designer to combine a road legal with a prototype race car" That's literally the point of IMSA GTP (and its predecessor, Daytona Prototype): Prototype shape that features styling cues from their road cars (Just look at BMW for the Best example of this). Have you seen the Sián FKP87 or The Revuelto? Those are the refference points for that design.
The put the completely wrong engine in there.. There are no V8s in a real Lamborghini! It has to either have a V10 or V12 engine to be a truly amazing Lamborghini race car. With that boring 3.8 liter V8 it’s just a boring run off the mill racing engine that everyone can buy, which is a shame. All the other teams use engines with history in their cars and Lamborghini choose against it. I’m extremely disappointed by that choice. Cadillac can do it with a NA V8 and Aston Martin can do it with the V12 Valkyrie (when it finally starts) so why did Lamborghini cheap out and go this way that will upset every true fan?
This is not a road car it’s a purpose built race car, and the regulation requires it to be a hybrid. You don’t need 4 extra cylinders when you have a high torque electric motor. It’s also extra weight the car has to move.
The SC63's engine is the first newly developed engine by Squadra Corse, Lamborghini's racing division in Bologna. The Urus' V8 is an improved version from Audi, but this is completely different. Choosing the original instead of using an existing V12 or Audi engine is very ambitious and passionate.
WEC and IMSA, we're in a new golden age of endurance racing
Agreed and I'm kind of looking forward to the new technology
@@greendragon4058 technology wise it peaked in the LMP1 era. This new era is only about cost cutting.

I'm really new to IMSA but I can already say, I'm more excited for this sport than Formula 1.
Welcome to the community! Hope you'll enjoy the races
You’re in the right place for real exciting racing!
Welcome
You and everyone else, my friend. Welcome back to real motorsport!
You should be.. great series, Enjoy! You can actually afford to go to a race.
A true race car driver. “ I just drive it ….need more power”

My team raises a Lamborghini it's a pink one the flying lizards pretty impressive car
@@greendragon4058nice man, hope you guys do well, all I can say is I wish lol
Thanks to you, Marshall, and IMSA for giving us these behind the scenes looks at the new cars.
Grosjean is a very capable racer. Comes across as a genuinely nice guy too. I’m really glad he’s in IMSA and Indy.
Great to see Romain in good spirits!! I hope they will do well.
Fantastic video. Also Romain using typical English "Bloody Hell" had me in stitches. Good luck to all in the SC63 squad.
“We have a super modern push rod front suspension…”
Grosjean:”these pull rods come from formula one…”
😂
Lol. I caught that too
Hope Lamborghini has lots of spare parts. There going to need them, also big supply of baby diapers.
I'm rooting for Lambo, regardless of how they do this weekend
I really hope these guys have a really strong season. There will be teething problems, but I'm sure they will get on top of it quickly.
Looks like a beast.
Green number 63……… must’ve caught Wayne Taylor’s eye LOL
Who is the interviewer? He seems a good man!
Romain Grosjean looks like one of my nephews.
It makes sense now, this is the 3.8L Twin Turbo 9000+ RPM V8 that will be in the Huracan successor.
Thing is, this one is a cold V while the successir's is a hot V. They surely are somehow related tho
Great stuff thank you!
Love Marshall Pruett
If it performs as it did in Qatar, there are a lot of work for Lamborghini.
Iron lynx may need to learn more for setup and balance
The fact that it's the only hypercar to use a Ligier chassis could be interesting for upgrades
True, they need to reconfigure the aero too, can't wait to see them again in 2025
Take a good look at it because it won't look like that at the end with Romain driving....
I do like the sound this car makes.
If they’re letting him drive I hope they brought plenty of spare parts and an extra car 😂
Notice how Marshall pointed out that side crash structure.Cause he's gonna need it
Most beautiful hyperacar on the track.
They’ve got the right driver… to be just outside the podium and test the durability of the bodywork. 😜
go lambo
Got to see this in person at Sebring. Awesome car.
Rooting for the SC63 here
Looks so good up close!!
I like him as a person but as a driver he's just a bit too sketchy and the reason he lost his ride in Indy car is because it was difficult for him to finish a race
Thank you, imsa, for the 4k quality ❤
Dallara and Ligier literally carrying all of WEC and IMSA, LOL!
Merci pour la vidéo Romain😁
Looks like a nice car, it will be shame when someone (crashjean) crashes it. 🤔
I am watering at the mouth waiting for this car to hit iRacing
Same
Hope the lambo gang does well.
space ship
Gorgeous car!! Best category!! Just pure racing and nooo!! Drama queens like F1!! Love Indy, Imsa, and F1 but first 2 best of the best by far.
What’s the steering lock of the car?
These cars look so much better than current F1 cars
This tractor was smoked by onther car 😂
Hello @Iracing need this Car
Grosjean and Cairoli on same team. So much talent in IMSA and WEC.
you know... it doesnt look claustrophobic in there

That was cool to see a "naked" race car
I LOVE TECH TOUR,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MORE , MORE ,MORE .
I like how Marshall pronounces ‘provenance’
Not even 10 seconds in and Marshall starched his pants
Anyone but remain. Its not crashed so he has not driven it lately. Lmao.
CSR 2 😤
Boring
Romain's a really nice guy. I hope he does well alongside Matteo and Andrea!
Let’s go Lambo!!
Bing engine? It's a 3.8l V8. It's smol.
It has turbos
hope he keeps it away from other cars and walls
what engine is it?
3.8 Twin Turbo Hybrid V8, that sounds loudest second to Cadillac's NA V8.
grosjean and bourdais on track in the same class.......can we place bets on who bins it first getting too aggressive
Romain Grosjean is awesome...love the car!
Small V8 not exactly Lamborghini!

What if the next road car will be V8 Turbo? Usually race cars are a test bench for solutions to improve road cars.

They do have a V8 in an SUV.
Also they're owned by Audi/VW, so there's probably some Audi bits in there.

Lamborghini debuted their first V8 engine in 1971, long before they started prototyping a V10 in 1987. Let alone the first production V10 in 2003.

OK, kid.
Wow, congrats on your world changing achievement.
