Hey! I'm from Asia and down here,we use scooters, like 95% of the population. Thailand and Japanese scooters are the ones we go for. Just wondering, can you do more reviews and tips for scooters please? :) thanks!
Thanks for the information. I'm searching for a Bergman 400 rear tire. Due to the high cost of mounting a rear tire on it. The longevity is paramount to me. With your input plus other references I've decided on the mitchlin city grip scooter.
Thanks to your vid I found out that my scooter tires are run flat and bullet proof.I own a 2006 Honda silverwing 600.I used to just kick the tires and they seemed to be hard enough and then I put a tire pressure guage on them and they registered zero pressure. The handling was a bit off but other than that they functioned
City Grip are best tires for max 300cc scooters. Good on hot weather, rain, cold weather. I changed my back wheel tire after 33.000 km. Front wheel tire still look almost new :) Before City Grip, I had Pirelli Diablo. They are good on sunny hot days, but shit tires on cold weather and rain.
I had the Diablo and now Angel Scooter. The Angel is much better in the rain no comparision. The Diablo howevee have much more road feedback but less comfort.
I enjoy your product break downs. Seems like you have a wider variety of choices compared to other motologgers and product reviewers. Keep up the good work! Also appreciate that you are not a scooter hater.
Pirelli rosso diablo scooter tires are my favorite. They are long lasting and do great for street and performance riding. I’m running them on my Yamaha YSR50. 👍🏾
Good info. Could you update this for 2023? I know Michelin has the City Grip 2 now. And I'm sure there are new models from other manufacturers out there. I'd love to hear about new options for replacing the factory Mitas tires that came on my Vespa Primavera 150. Thanks! (By the way, roads covered in maple syrup, that's hilarious!)
I was hoping for the same! I’m running Pirelli Angels on my 125cc Sprint. It looks like City Grip 2 and the Pirelli Angel are very very close in performance (direct competitors). Angels slightly better in the wet, City grip 2 has slightly better longevity. I’m at 4600 miles on Pirelli Angels and the rear should last until the 6000 mile service. There’s also Pirelli Diablo and the Michelin Power Pure as the sports versions from Pirelli and Michelin. Again, very evenly matched from what I’ve read, but both sacrifice a lot of their wet weather performance for dry weather grip. As I’m in England and ride all year round, I think I’m going to stick with the Pirelli Angels. What tyres are you running?
@@AdventureByJake Where did you see Angels better than City 2 in wet? Michelin posts on their site that theirs beats Angels in wet braking and wet track time, but doesn't mention dry, so assume this means Angels beat City 2s in dry in both braking and time.

For those scooter riders that have 10 inch wheels but want to go off road. A look on google finds off road tires all day long for them though they are meant for a CT70 Honda but hey the speeds aren’t that different and actually a little slower if you’re riding a 50cc
You think the Michelin City tire would be okay on a 49cc scooter or the Michelin SC tire. I have a 2006 Kymco Super 9 LC 2 stroke & it weighs about 230lbs, I think. It has 120 70 12 in front and 130 70 12 in rear. Kind of a big scooter compared to most 49cc and goes 80km per hour on flat. I'm 6'2" 195lbs btw if that makes a difference. I see the description on the Michelin City mentions it is used on medium or large scooters. I just kinda prefer the tread pattern on the City tire and the long life.
