My 1990 Volvo 740 seems fine on a mixture of E5 and E10. According to various sources, Volvos with petrol engines have been ethanol fuel-compatible since 1976, apart from S/V40s with the 1.8 GDI engine.
ESSO state on their website that their Synergy Supreme does not contain any ethanol whatsoever in the UK except parts of Cornwall & Scotland. However the law requires them to state E5 on those pumps. So I & many other classic car drivers use ESSO as advised by the Federation of Historic Vehicle clubs. By their nature classic cars generally only cover a low mileage so ethanol fuel sitting in a vehicle for an longer period than in a modern is storing trouble - guess how I and others know!
Very useful film. I have continued to use super unleaded in my classic car
Interesting stuff and very nicely done. Deserving of a much bigger audience
after running my old Pug 307 on E10 from the switch over the fuel guage no longer works ; so i guess the float in the tank has rotted off.
You remind me of Jeremy Clarkson.....Love the channel by the way 👍🏻
Enjoyable and informative, thumbs up

I'd love to know more if you could share. The more information there is out there the better
This is enough to make me stick to Super. In France you can get 95 E5 and 95 E10. In UK I haven’t seen any 95 E5 so far.
That was standard petrol before the move to E10. Not sure if there would be any economy changes with lower octane though
