Hi from the UK. The humming is pump cavitation. It's the pump spinning faster than the water available. Try fitting a small expansion vessel on the inlet. This will hold a small resovoir of water under pressure to satisfy the initial surge.
Cavitation is like a car wheel spinning. Normal domestic pressure washers deliver around 1gal per min. At 3 gal the mains water pressure will struggle particularly through small bore pipe. Something to bear in mind is pumps are made to pump not suck hence your quirks. Love to see an update if you decide to give it a go @CarsWithKeav
Just got this on the crazy sale of $70. Added the 2 yr warranty for $10 so even if it does take a dump I’ll just get a new one lol. Thanks again Keav really appreciate all you do sir
Keav this comment is for your viewers.. For the love of all that is holy… please please use components rated for high pressure on the outlet of the washers. For every fitting and adapter we increase the chance of leakage or hose whip. Stick to NPT fittings whenever possible. When using check valves (which you definitely should), make sure you are depressurizing BOTH SIDES of the the valve. Potentially, you could relieve the pressure washer sides while still holding over 1000psi on the hose/gun side of the check valve. Totally agree with all this and make sure just because it says it’s stainless or a good material doesn’t mean it can hold 1k PSI. I always try to make sure any fitting can handle at least 3 times what I’m working with. All of the fittings I used are rated for at least 3k PSI. I know you can save money getting cheaper ones or converting an air hose reel to use a pressure washer hose, but to me it’s not worth the chance it bursts on you.

I was wanting to buy the Fantik NB9 or whatever it's called and use that as a spot free rinse but that one is $90 and the pressure washer is more capable.

When you were testing these, did you see how much pressure you could get before one of them shut off, or were you only looking to maximize the gpm at 1,000ish psi?
I tried individually and could never get pressure above 1k psi. The motor kept adjusting to optimize to whatever it wanted to do. That’s a disadvantage to induction motors it’s easier for them to make it work safer.
Pretty slick Mr. Keav! It seems more and more pressure washer users are going to with a 'dual' pressure washer set up lately. I had never even heard of using TWO pressure washers hooked up for simultaneous use for more pressure until seeing Matt Moreman's two Kranzle set up which cost an absolute fortune although it's probably built like a tank. It's nice you show that you can do it on a budget also! Great job Mr. Keav.

Try bigger start capacitors on the motors. Or possibly a 15sec start delay between the motors. Also remember 20amps doesn’t really mean 20 amp 85% max continue issues. Definitely a good idea I might have to try
Mine is actually a 30amp so no problem there, but could be an issue for most 20AMP circuits. They hum even when starting separate if the water isn’t full unrestricted flow so think I got some kind of flow issue. Some ayes I could be creating a Venturi effect with how my input splitter is setup.
Hey Keav, I'm a bit of a mad scientists myself. Just out of curiosity what do you think might happen if this was hooked up to your Ryobi EZ clean? or just a single pressure washer connected to the EZ clean. would it blow the unit up? would it work? would be interesting to see lol. Anyway, great job as always! So glad your channel exists!
I myself wouldn’t just yet unless you like to Gamble. These are too new to know how long they will work and the Greenworks or Ryobi is proven to work well.
Can you send an Amazon link for the quick connect fittings for one unit? Just one for a garden hose and another for the pressure washer. Guessing my problem from watching your video is my fittings are 14mm or maybe I need something else entirely! Thank you!
You can run a 15mm conversion adapter to use your 14mm with this machine then you are all set there. amzn.to/4fDWLcf Then you would need this to adapt their threads to a garden hose male end. amzn.to/3V2iQJ0
You mentioned people running two ryobis being fairly "common". I already have the smaller Ryobi and want to do that set-up, but I'm having trouble finding any videos or other information using them specifically. Do you know where I can look?
@@Pedroluvslupe It’s two pressure washers I show how to run them together in the video. Here is the link they are on sale right now for $72. amzn.to/3Z02xxF
Tim is a great dude. Old dude or not I’m glad I can call him my friend. Glad he pushed you to make this video. Really impressive what you can do for 14 times less than what Matt would charge you.
I nerd out on this stuff and try to explain as much as I can to limit all the questions that would end up being asked in the comments. Chem X they were just kind of having fun vlog style kind of and it was fun to watch.
Keav can you review the new p&s ceramic coating stout? How does it compare to DIY? Supposedly it's much more user friendly. They made defender really easy to use so I think stout will be the same thing
I don’t know how you can get easier than all the coatings out there right now like DIY. I may try one day, but still doing durability tests on Pan’s and DIY Coatings.
Your creating a venturi at the inlet split for the first pressure washer thats why you loose prime. You would need a larger inket dia split into 2 pressure regulators and you would solve the problem provided there are no other restrictions.
That’s possible, but not sure bigger diameter will help since my feed line in the wall is 1/2 inch. Maybe just coming from the main hose splitting with equal length hoses and feeding to each one will be better. I have more than enough flow at almost 8gpm with my 5/8 hose.
@@CarsWithKeav @philipparana9225 could be onto something... As I mentioned in my DM, I have been running dual Ryobi's for a couple of months and only noticed a couple of times where only one would engage. To correct it, I would simply let off the trigger then go again. I never had the Ryobi combo lose prime like you're experiencing. One difference is that I am teeing off my water line, but the have equal runs to both units. That's a great observation, Philip. It probably makes even a bigger difference as the demand with higher GPM goes up.
I only did a quick test and forget the nozzle size, but I had gotten between 850-900 PSI at 1.6GPM. Which is why I think we can still go with a Bigger nozzle we should be able to hit 3.2gpm combined. Josh should have his review on it soon.
I've been using an old gas-powered Speed Clean pressure washer that's rated at 2200 psi at 1.9 gallons per minute and was thinking of buying the Pircaath you show that's on sale for $71. I'm retired and only have two vehicles that I take care of and was wondering if it's worth it to go electric. Gas is a pain at times and requires more maintenance. Your opinion matters. Thanks
That’s the reason most go electric just a bit more convenient with no carburetor to deal with. It’s not going to feel as powerful as the gas one, but they are very efficient. Anything in the $100 range from Ryobi or Greenworks will work as well. These just aren’t proven over a long time period yet so that headache is a possibility of it failing with really no support to get it fixed or replaced.
@CarsWithKeav Thanks. If I buy one, I'll keep the gas-powered one just in case. It would be nice to have something you don't have to change the oil, tune up, and put pump conditioner thru it every winter. Right there I just sold myself an electric pressure washer.😁 Thanks for your opinion and great informative videos.
@@CarsWithKeav I live in central Pennsylvania and been using a good pump conditioner and fuel stabilizer before every winter for the past 19 years. I don't like keeping yard or any gas-powered equipment in my garage which is attached to the house. I would keep that small electric one in my garage. :)
These companies won’t state that information, but the motor being induction should be good for hundreds of hours. The pump though I am not sure of. I would treat it like a residential machine and say 100 hours which is what most are rated for, but once again it’s hit or miss with these Amazon products.
@CarsWithKeav agreed i currently use the ryobi 1.2gpm . Another question is o change the tips from yellow to green am I using more water or is it just the pressure change from a smaller orifice to a wider one
@ Some companies have different sizes between their green, yellow and white. If they are the same size then it would be the same water and pressure just concentrating the amount of water to a smaller area having more impact to the surface.
I found a non CCP (China) made pressure washer just over $200 during a black Friday sale about 1.5 years ago. Some of the specs are; brushless motor, 2300 pressure with 2.3 gallons gpm (as I remember). It came with a 10 yr. warranty. Thanks to IMJOSHV video.
Not sure what that one is, but 10 year warranty not too many companies carry that. Would be curious to l know the brand and model. Did it live up to those numbers?
@@hartlanddetailer5670 I have reviewed the older version of that and it is really good. The o Lu problem the older one took a bit to ramp up and didn’t have auto start/stop
Might be looking at the wrong one. I have a few in the description. This is the one listed as Amazon Induction Pressure Washer and is currently $72 amzn.to/3Z02xxF
Keav, I don’t get it. What’s the point? All these expensive connects, lag time problems for more gpm? Anything over 2.2 for cars is possibly wasteful unless you’re washing a 747. 👍🏽
Does there have to be a point when your having fun experimenting in your garage? People wanted me to figure out a dual setup and I did it my way of course with cheap Amazon pressure washers. I would think wasteful has more to do with technique than any flow number, but my purpose was get as much GPM as possible for as little money as possible. I mean I mention many times that it was for fun and not something most should do as there is quirks to It. Of course I’ll get it dialed in and working great at some point. 🤣
Have you been to the self serve car wash lately? Some of those are putting out 5gpm or more, and it's brilliant. Unfortunately the chemicals they provide suck, so washing at home is still better.
@@joeschmoe6908 Yeah. All depends on how many people are using the bays at the same time. They are running like 8hp belt driven pressure washers so you could get more by yourself, but they are usually restricted to a certain amount so every bay has good flow. Most of them typically run 1200 PSI at 3GPM.
@kevinstover5155 I've been running dual Ryobi's for a couple of months. For me, it has been awesome. I don't have any of the lagging or priming issues with my setup. I love the flexibility. When I'm using Chem-X Stars and Stripes, I can get 1400 PSI with 2.1 GPM, driveway wash I go with the 5.0 nozzle and land at 900 PSI with 2.6 GPM. The real flexibility is when I am washing inside with no drain... I drop to a single Ryobi with a 2.5 nozzle for 1.25 GPM to limit the amount of water I have to squeegee. Then for wheels, I use a single Ryobi but go with a 4.0 nozzle and drop pressure to around 500 PSI. Plenty of cleaning power up close, but way less blow back.
Hmm … not practical, not efficient, extra costs (fittings, hoses, etc), have to maintain/replace 2 units instead of 1 … yeah, no. 1 quality pressure washer is more than enough for every need. 😊😊😊
Just for fun. Best thing about this though is if a unit goes out you can run the other by itself and get the job done. Either way it’s not for everybody’s that’s for sure.
@@CarsWithKeav haha, it’s not you, it’s me. I’m far too frugal to “have fun” spending money I don’t have to on crap I don’t need or want. I have a lot of money that I worked very hard to amass, if it’s stuff I don’t need then I’m not interested. I reckon it’s a negative trait I have but I don’t mean any offense. Mine is actually a 30amp so no problem there, but could be an issue for most 20AMP circuits. They hum even when starting separate if the water isn’t full unrestricted flow so think I got some kind of flow issue. Some ayes I could be creating a Venturi effect with how my input splitter is setup.
You are a mad scientist
Thank You. Sometimes Mad and sometimes Bad. 🤣
Hope to see the Quiver soon there too
Can’t wait to get my hands on a test unit.
leave it to keav to keep us wanting stuff great video bro
Click for the cookies Eddie! 🤣
They are a great dual system for an affordable price. Thanks for the informative video appreciate it ✊💎
Now we just got to get the quirks worked out.
I am unsure of what will happen, but don’t think I want to be holding it if I tried that. 🤣 I don’t think the internals are rated for it.
Bought the unit through your affiliate link. Thanks for the good video. Honestly just one will be enough gpm to clean my car
How many GPM did you get on 1 of the pressure washers
I was able to get 850psi at 1.6GPM
Agreed, I’m just being overkill. 🤣
@@CarsWithKeav which nozzle did you use for these results?
@@nathanbaker146 4.0 size
A true legend 🐐
Thx bro!
Impressive!!!! With some fine tuning could have a reliable setup for a fraction of the price!!!
I’ll figure it out at some point and make it less quirky.
Would you buy this over a green works for a starter or upgrade from a Harbor Freight one?
I myself wouldn’t just yet unless you like to
Gamble. These are too new to know how long they will work and the Greenworks or Ryobi is proven to work well.
Looking forward to the new Big Boi pressure washer update.
Supposed to be here in the next week or so. Maybe I should run them in a dual setup see if they hum. 🤣
Chem X UA-cam Channel did a video on it. I just know many who have done it, but most all of them don’t make videos.
Just in time for Christmas!!!!!!
Black Friday too I just saw they are on sale for $72 now.
Keav the coolest!!
Thank you! Remind Eddie of that!
Keav, can you change the orfice of the MJJC foam canon up to something bigger than what's included in the box?
Absolutely you can. 1.4mm is a popular size and 1.5mm as well.
interesting setup 3gpm is good
Now we just got to get it to work 100% of the time.
Ok i’m confused. Where is the link for this pressure washer? I couldn’t understand. Are you connecting 2 at the same time?
@@Pedroluvslupe It’s two pressure washers I show how to run them together in the video. Here is the link they are on sale right now for $72. amzn.to/3Z02xxF
Tim is a great dude. Old dude or not I’m glad I can call him my friend. Glad he pushed you to make this video. Really impressive what you can do for 14 times less than what Matt would charge you.
Tim is awesome! If we can figure out how to resolve these quirks it will be an amazing value.
I am a huge fan of Tim. #nodiddy
@ That’s not what Tim told me. 🤣
@CarsWithKeav 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Fake News!!! Hahahaha
@@alexe_hotwax_detailing thank you 🙏 all of you are very kind! I truly appreciate all the kind words
I was going to suggest doing this! The guys from Chem-x didn't really do an in-depth video. Thanks
I nerd out on this stuff and try to explain as much as I can to limit all the questions that would end up being asked in the comments. Chem X they were just kind of having fun vlog style kind of and it was fun to watch.
For $72 I think a seperate review for these Chinese units could do well to see the specs compared to like a ryobi or green works of a similar price.
I explain in the video ImJoshV will be doing a review on a single unit soon. I just wanted to have fun with the dual setup.
How did one work on its own without piggy back?
Pretty good about 850 psi at 1.6GPM
What’s size of adapters did you say you need for the quick connects & hoses? I missed it
They would all be 3/8 inch connections. Except for the outlet conversion of m22 15mm to a 3/8 QD.
@@CarsWithKeav thank you
Keav can you review the new p&s ceramic coating stout? How does it compare to DIY? Supposedly it's much more user friendly. They made defender really easy to use so I think stout will be the same thing
I don’t know how you can get easier than all the coatings out there right now like DIY. I may try one day, but still doing durability tests on Pan’s and DIY Coatings.
@ in your opinion which is the easiest?
@@aaron30569 to me Hydro Kite was the easiest, but it’s very expensive. Pans 8 year is a close second and a better price.
Awesome video!
Thank You!
How much GPM did you get off running 1 of those pressure washers
850PSI at 1.6GPM, let’s see what Josh gets when he reviews it. I didn’t do a ton of single testing.
I'm curious now about duel Ryobi.
Quite a few doing it. Check out Chem X video on it.
@ I will for sure try everything I can to get it to run consistent.
How is this machine when you use just one?
I only did a quick test and forget the nozzle size, but I had gotten between 850-900 PSI at 1.6GPM. Which is why I think we can still go with a Bigger nozzle we should be able to hit 3.2gpm combined. Josh should have his review on it soon.
@@CarsWithKeav Thanks...I appreciate the reply back
3.0gpm holy 🤬 Yeah wow!
It’s almost too much. Puts a lot of strain on you hand after a bit. 🤣
What would be the proper orfice size for one unit to perform with more flow?
3.5 to 4.0
Cool thanks Keav!
@ You’re Welcome
Says dc electrical 110 v50 hertz I don’t see how you are setting up for the electrical???
I’m just plugging them into two separate 110v circuits in my house. One is a 15amp and the other 20amp.
I've been using an old gas-powered Speed Clean pressure washer that's rated at 2200 psi
at 1.9 gallons per minute and was thinking of buying the Pircaath you show that's on sale for $71.
@CarsWithKeav
Thanks.
If I buy one, I'll keep the gas-powered one just in case. It would be nice to have something you don't have to change the oil, tune up, and put pump conditioner thru it every winter. Right there I just sold myself an electric pressure washer.😁
Thanks for your opinion and great informative videos.
@ if storing in a cold place that freezes you will still need to winterize it. Same problem with water expansion will happen in any pump.
@@CarsWithKeav
I live in central Pennsylvania and been using a good pump conditioner and fuel stabilizer before every winter for the past 19 years. I don't like keeping yard or any gas-powered equipment in my garage which is attached to the house. I would keep that small electric one in my garage. :)
@ Sounds like a plan.
How many hours is the washer built for ?

Can you PLEASE test one unit by itself so we can see Max.pressure & GPM - thanks.
He mentioned that @IMJOSHV will be doing a review on the single unit…😬👍🏼
Josh will be reviewing by itself, but I did get 850PSI at 1.6GPM which is why I think we can still get more out of this setup with a bigger nozzle.
Your Colombian Bam Bam is on sale at Amazon $39

@@CarsWithKeav received my pressure washer today and Mann this thing is amazing purchased the 3yr warranty this little thing is crazy for the price

Who has one for sale?
Keav, I don’t get it. What’s the point? All these expensive connects, lag time problems for more gpm? Anything over 2.2 for cars is possibly wasteful unless you’re washing a 747. 👍🏽
Does there have to be a point when your having fun experimenting in your garage? People wanted me to figure out a dual setup and I did it my way of course with cheap Amazon pressure washers. I would think wasteful has more to do with technique than any flow number, but my purpose was get as much GPM as possible for as little money as possible. I mean I mention many times that it was for fun and not something most should do as there is quirks to
It.
Wow 🎉
Yup
Hard pass on these 😂
Too much of a headache.
Thanks for doing the dirty work, Keav.
It is not for everyone. I’ll get it dialed in at some point though.
