    Watching these videos about Japanese people holding foreign people in such high regard... I wonder how crushed their expectations would get if they met an average foreigner who's not tall, attractive or interesting by Western standards.

    I've been to Japan twice and love it. Decent manners, being very respectful. knowing a few Japanese phrases and wearing a smile will get you far. You'll be amazed at how many conversations you'll randomly strike up with people.

      I loved how clean the streets were when I went. I saw about only a few pieces of litter, and when it's there, you really notice it lol. Sticks out like a sore thumb.
      I was too nervous to speak much though. My ability to speak betrays how much I actually know. Next time, I'll try harder. All I said were thank you's and greetings.
      Speaking in English is hard enough XD

    • @DSpaceCF
      @DSpaceCF 4 роки тому +13

      Those conversations usually only arise when you're going out for a drink though. You could actually be Beckham and noone on the street would start a conversation with you, unless its some middle school girls from the countryside who want a picture with a foreigner. Happened to me quite regularly.

    Most of those are probably just fantasies just as us men have a certain way we want a woman to look. But once two people get to know each other and like the other, they don't care about how you look. It's cliche but it's true. All of us have their fantasies but in reality we just want someone who loves us and who we can love. Being hot is just like a dessert. It's nice but not necessary.

      Most people who watch J-Vlog videos are weebs who want to learn whether or not J-Girls will fuck them, so it's no wonder J-Vloggers make videos catering to those questions.
      Just look at the views, the vids with the most are to do with whether or not J-Girls or J-Guys will bang foreigners and food. Other aspects aren't cared as much about.

    To be fair...a man is supposed to enter an unknown restaurant or bar first...to check if it might be dangerous for her. But he should then hold the door open for her. If he knows the place already he can let her enter first...

      When I went to Japan together with a group of international tourist (12 people from Europe and US) we went to a Karaoke bar along with our guide (beautiful and nice Japanese girl).
      When it was my turn I picked 'A little piece of heaven' from Avenged Sevenfold.
      I really had a blast, but maybe that was not the best choice, since the lyrics were on display for everyone to see. ^^"
