    Loved this, I have a APBT that I have been trying to do recall with and hopefully this will help us. She loves children and likes to run up to them at the park and parents get scared. I’ve tried telling her leave it when she notices them and it works unless the kids are playing and then it doesn’t.

    Would like to see this with a new dog that hasn't been trained yet. You dont talk about how long it took to get her to be obedient.

    Thank you for the content. Curious what’s the typical training structure for most dogs for basic obedience on leash. How many weeks, is the dog being trained daily, what’s the duration of training sessions. I want to make sure I do right by the new dog I adopted. Unfortunately I don’t have the funds to send him to a professional trainer at the moment. However I’m in the fitness industry so I understand how to make a program for humans to get said result… just not dogs. Thanks and take care

      A dog is always better if trained by you and not a stranger. You are its master.

    thanks for these helpful videos. Why do you go off to one and the other when giving the treat, rather than simply handing it directly to the dog?

    • @OscarMorak9s
      @OscarMorak9s  2 роки тому +1

      So the dog doesn’t expect reward coming from same place at all times.

  • @DeuceAlchemist

    How would you suggest setting up the conflict/distraction without the help of another person?

    • @OscarMorak9s
      @OscarMorak9s  4 роки тому +3

      Khaalid Rahman you can do it by tossing food while the dog is say on a “place”. Or you can get a long leash and try to pull the dog off the position. When he resist reward.

    What do you do if they don’t come back to you after you tell them get it?

    • @OscarMorak9s
      @OscarMorak9s  3 роки тому +1

      I end my sessions and I give them an opportunity to eat during our next session. I would also add a 15 ft line to guide the dog back to you if you are having issues.

      You can do it indoors by buying a dog place trainer.

    • @OscarMorak9s

      Brian Pulling I am. However it doesn’t work with all dogs. In the beginning I use food more as an event rather than just handing a piece of food. I should make a video on that.
