Thank you Dr. Erma for the great video. I have GMC registeration after I passed PLAB and I also passed MRCP part 1 and 2 (PACES is still needed). Which route do you think is better and shorter for me to become a dermatologist. Thank you 😊
I would definitely recommend to apply through the training route- it’s 4 years, very straightforward to achieve CCT as a dermatology consultant. The only downside it’s competitive to get a place! But don’t let that put you off! If I can get in, so can everyone else!
Aoa... how competitive is it to enter in to dermatology training in UK? I have fellowship degree in dermatology from Pakistan.. Will it be difficult to enter into training in UK?

What is the CESR route? So you apply straight after foundation training? Or you mean you just have to find a way to complete your portfolio as a trainee dermatologist would which may take a few years still..and then submit your portfolio to dermatologist association?
Hi! The CESR route is a way to become a specialist without going through the usual training pathway. You would usually undertake a dermatology clinical post, complete your portfolio, and submit it for assessment. Hope this helps!
