Thank you so much for this video. I really needed to hear all this because all the negativity about saturation and problems online was starting to get to my head and demotivating me
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you Dr. It has become a very long journey but finally I am in middle of getting registered. And have been hearing so many of these things and had been wondering what's going on but this has made me positive again to get into the applying process.
Good luck!
Thank you so much dear doctor.
You're most welcome!
I would like to add a point regarding clinical attachment. It is true that you don't necessarily need one, but some trusts only accept applications from the doctors who have done a clinical attachment at their Trust. Also, doing a clinical attachment might help you land a job in a Trust, as the consultants might be impressed by your professionalism and work, and in the end, they might just want you for the job, instead of looking through countless job applications and conducting interviews.
*provided there are vacancies at that Trust
Most definitely! We've discussed that further here: ua-cam.com/video/Om1u9l5ZNUo/v-deo.htmlsi=QvTphFHBaAKh0M7X
Great points
Thanks!
Thanks for explaining the current situation. Majority of the doctors got jobs don’t talk in different platforms. Might be busy with job !😅 Ok others are like screaming as No job No job. If there is one post and 2 candidate then employer must choose one. So focusing on profile is a must.
Good luck!
@@RoadToUK Thank you so much Dr
Actually we need more people to say like this. Need a community of people with hope.
Thank you 👍
You are welcome!
Hey doc I'm currently in 1st year of mbbs and I have been hearing that there is a lot of saturation in uk for imgs and people aren't getting jobs and the situation will worsen by the time I graduate. Should i still concider for this option?
Can you please make a detailed video of plab vs mrcp based on current NHS situation and put out pros and cons
Helo Dr I hope u are fine can you please confirm if GMC has recently raised OET/ielts score for foundation year 2.. it was 360 in oet and 7 in ielts I have checked it shows 400 and 7.5 respectively can you please elaborate?
Is it true but gmc accepted my oet scores (B) for my plab 1?
How to search jobs in the UK ?
Thank you for this video. Actually, based on my personal perspective, I have noticed that getting a job in the UK has become way difficult in the last few years. I know it depends on many factors, but it is not an easy process. Many doctors are struggling to get even a single interview, which is frustrating.
When we started in the UK, there was no shortage occupancy. We had to wait for UK citizens to first get a job. We weren't allowed visas easily.
So we have to disagree. Things have become easier, but yes, competition is there. That isn't something that's limited to the UK, however. And as we mentioned, you can always apply for training if you feel non training is taking too long.
@RoadToUK
Thank you. Your inputs are much appreciated.
@@RoadToUKis training less competitive than non training, in your opinion?
What is basic salary for trainee ?
Please
Regarding Ob gyn
Is there saturation of nhs in such field
Recently we've heard news of physician associates being hired to replace Doctors, hence the seeming hiring freeze or oversaturation occuring in the UK. Any thoughts about this?
A video on this will be out soon!
I want to apply for fy-1, does that have any other eligibility criteria or same as fy-2 and is it more difficult to get into fy-1 than fy-2
Depends, are you aiming for UKFP or non training FY1 jobs?
To get full gmc registration, do we require to have permanent licence to practice in our home country ?
No.
Is it necessary to do a clinical attachment to secure a job in nhs ? Genuine answers please

Hello, please guide me how long should a candidate stay in the UK after PLAB 2 exam, some people say to not stat more than 3-4 month on a 6 month standard visit visa, but I couldn't find the evidence. I am asking in regards to next visa application for the job
Did u get answer .?
So long as you don't overstay your visa, there is no hard and fast rule.
can we apply to st1 or st2 level jobs without experience?

Can we directly move to either Newzealand or Australia after getting GMC registration???
We have no idea regarding those pathways.
Need a year experience in UK to move to Australia without needing an exam
The struggle is real!! I literally have done and have everything in my CV multiple CPD courses by well known places and Teaching courses, publications, Audits, Qip, Clinical Attachments, ALS, ATLS, enough work experience but just got one interview after too many applications and will be giving up my license in 2 months. Got my competencies signed and applied to training this year. I know its a risky step but no option left.
Gosh same. Finally someone like me
No one is ready to accept that the saturation is real. Especially when they are hiring PA’s these days. They are a threat to Junior doctor jobs.
As we've said in the video, these are not the important factors to getting hired. It's great that you've done all these things, but by your own account you did land an interview which it seems did not pan out. So it isn't bleak.
But you've got the right portfolio for a training application, so good luck on that interview!
@@drdoctor3961 true brother. Surprisingly no one is talking about PAs.
@@RoadToUKThank you ❤
Do you have to give up your license if you don’t get a Job in a specified period of time?
Yes
Ive been exclusively applying for more than a year. Had to give up my license. I did all the right steps but failed still. I even have an internship. I still dont understand the reason i stopped having interviews after the initial months.
Have you also looked into why your interviews weren't successful?
mbbs in uk Bangla video chahiye ❤
Hi doctor. Thanks for making this video. Things been quite depressing , demotivating on social media. This video gave me some positive energy .
Me with my friend was thinking of PLAB . Then after hearing all these things we decided to give our MRCP from our home country. Will it be possible that we can apply every sector of job as junior doctor holding MRCP or we have to stick to medicine only …?
Again thanks. Keep on motivating. Allah bless you. ❤
You can freely apply across specialties, but it may present a hindrance in your experience.
Do we need to stay there until we get job??
No.
I've reviewed my CV from 2 persons already working in NHS. They said it was perfect. Still no interview call. They are just saying I'm fit for jobs. Now what can I do?
Your CV or your job profile? Because those are two different things. Even still, have you considered the other options we've outlined in the video?
Its been 6 months. 3 months of clinical attachment. Done a qip and an audit. No luck. I am here on spouse visa. Frustrated and depressed. Hopeless
Have you been doing something in the mean time? Join somewhere, they like when people want to progress their carriers
@@helheimpanda no. My situation was very bad. Beyond explanation
I am sorry to hear that but keep at it, trust me it takes like 6-8months to get jobs anyway
After the clinical attachment, have you asked why they could not hire you? Have you reviewed your application for shortcomings and ways to improve (outside of further external efforts)?
I got the job in the same hospital I have done attachment. Thank you
I've been trying to get an interview call as a junior doctor for last 5 months. Applied for 300+! Still no interview call. What's your take on this? As a part of middle class family, my family is frustrated at this point giving me money for Plab. How's that possible that I'm even getting rejected for FY1?
Is this really true ?
Have you considered what we've said and reflected on your situation accordingly?
@@RoadToUK yes. Literally everything. Even have ILS from uk, attachment, clinical experience of 2 years.
Sorry to say but based on how much you have written in such short time, you sound arrogant. I think even if someone told you exactly what you need to do you would not.
So they have rightly said. And if you are so confident, apply for training.
If you did attachment but still not job from them, it speaks volumes.
What do you have in your cv?
Now I feel like I did a mistake believing everything in social media which gave me waves of hopes for UK jobs. Unfortunately it's not that easy anymore. Maybe Plab was the biggest mistake of my life. By this time if I would join fcps or residency, maybe wouldn't be this frustrated.
This is just pure venting on your part, without substance. We've provided options and tips, but only ultimately you can help yourself. If you think this isn't for you, then that's up to you.
It usually takes 6-7months but you get the job
I have been applying for more than 1 year now and not even 1 job i have got. Did clinical attachment also. You may call it as venting bit that's the truth. Not everyone is lucky
PLAB UK route is dead. My friends are still jobless after getting GMC reg last year April
And yet we know of individuals who obtained registration and had jobs within a few months. Even the GMC data shows on average, PLAB doctors get a job within 5-7 months. So there needs to be some introspection.
I have been applying for 8 month,I have 7 years experience,I have ALS,a certified audit course all that is needed yet not a single shortlisting
Have you explored why that may be?
Salute you Dr. Ibrahim & Dr. Ibreez, much thankful for this informative & timely session! May I ask some relevant questions?
1. In my home country, specialty training in Internal medicine is done through attaining a masters in internal medicine (3 years). Do you have any info on IMGs with GMC registration & ready for UK jobs that have acquired jobs before completing specialty training in their home countries (especially if this masters route in their home country)?
Would it be possible then to entire into group 2 IM subspecialties' training if one has done 2 out of their 3 years in their home countries?
2. Could you comment on the probability of getting into NHS employment for this special category of doctors: Jobless & well-registered IMG doctors that have attained at least one or two months of clinical attachment within The UK, but are still searching for employment within both The UK as well as their home countries.
Thank you!
Welcome

2. Unfortunately, there is no data on this to provide a number, but ultimately, experience means very little if your application is not up to par.
Please tag me if anyone answers
@@RoadToUK In summary (question 1), just clarifying- are doctors undertaking masters in medicine able to be employed in UK before completing their 3 or 4 years of home-country training (a Masters degree)?
@@RoadToUK How about having full royal college qualifications but off employment due to preparations (with previous excellent work experience)?
False hopes 😢
How so?
People aren't even getting jobs for the background they have worked with. Isn't it kinda foolish to apply for something they don't have experience to work with? Also now they want requirements like membership exams completed and ALS training in FY1!! How's that possible for junior doctors?
No it's not foolish. You should be applying at your level even if the essential criteria state as you say. It's obvious you are angry and frustrated, but introspection is an important part of growth.

Are you really saying the truth ??
Why would we lie?
Hello ,
First of all thank you to both of you for all the videos and honest advice, that too for free
I am hoping for a one on one session for my queries with either you or Abriz .
I have actually sent you my story in detail on Instagram, along with the question, so if its possible to answer there ?
Hi,
I was watching videos on UA-cam when I saw your channel. I really like your video content. But as a UA-cam expert, I noticed one thing: your video views are getting fewer and fewer. Later I researched your channel and I saw your video SEO score is very low*. Your video found that SEO optimization is not done in your videos due to which your videos are not going to your targeted people, your videos are getting fewer views and channel subscribers are getting fewer. I can say as a UA-cam expert if you can do channel and video SEO-friendly things like tag, hashtag, description, and keyword research then your UA-cam channel and video will grow fast. I think your UA-cam channel will make your dream come true. Can I help you to grow your UA-cam channel?
