There is so much loss going around and having suffered myself I really want to support friends and family. When my mother was killed, I went into shock, I was permanently constipated for two years, my body went into shock and my stomach ulcers burst. I am still trying to process the grief but the trauma is stuck inside me, I'm trying everything I know but I feel it in every cell of my body. I recently read Lady Tan's Circle of Women based on a 15th century Chinese woman physician and all throughout the book there were so many lovely references to teas and tonics. I would love to know what could we eat, drink, steam with or sniff to calm our nerves according to TCM.
