I am happy to know that you are not a resaler and the fun of watching you shop together enjoying being together, miss six flaggs over georgia, too!!!!!! Great memories and fun!!!!!
0:51 😍, your florals completely changed that!! It’s adorable now.
I had that same thermos when I was little.....brought back memories
Alladin is a very old quality name.
Did you really? How fun! I hope it works good!
@@ThrilledThrifter I'm 54 lol and it worked great when I was s kid.......
I use stainless steel and cast iron 🥰 I dearly love the way you decorate your home. I have pulled all my fall stuff out. It will probably take me a week to do what I want to do. My health is not that good, I can’t do a lot in a day, but I love decorating and I am thankful for the health that I have. The dr.s didn’t think I would live this long but God fooled them 🥰 I praise him daily for my health. God is good all the time.❤️🙏🏻
I love my stainless and cast iron.
Julie, what a beautiful family you have and how you share time together. Your home is styled with love and is so welcoming. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much! I do love my family dearly.
Thank you so much for letting me shop with you, that picture is from Home Interiors party
Thank you!
You always find the perfect little touches for your home like the wooden spoon. So nice!
Thank you Anita!
I just love your thrifting videos Julie. Showing us how you design the pieces in your home is my favorite part.🪴
Thank you so much Fran!
Thanks for taking me along. You scored some good deals.
Jade, thank you so much for watching!
My mother was Welsh and her people are known to carve wooden spoons as love tokens. Some are very ornate, I wonder if that was a plain one? Lovely find.
Oh how wonderful! I sure hope it is! Thank you so much for sharing:)
Thank you for sharing this- it’s such a nice bit of information.
Love going shopping with you. Your daughter seems to have your touch for decorating. Have a great weekend. 🦋💕🦋
Thank you! Yes, she’s my middle daughter and definitely had a love for home decor like me.
I am excited to watch your channel growing. It is wonderful to see how much you have to offer in your area. I remember how people use to be kind, honest, humble and family devoted! The world is changing especially in bigger cities and I miss the past!
Thank you and your family for helping to remember those wonderful times! Hugs and prayers to you and your family!
Thank you so much for this comment!
Julie, I love your videos seeing all the items you buy for your home and how you use them. Your home shows everything you love.
The basket vignette is so pretty , Julie🤎
Thank you Sarah!
Stainless and cast iron here. I really like your video format, I need to come shop with y'all you find such great stuff.
Thank you!
I think your little bird is a grouse. I don’t care for all the ducks and geese, but him I like!
I have that ice cream scoop. I think the Massa print is watercolor.
Thank you! Yes, after a closer look I believe it is water color too. And thank you for the info on bird. I couldn’t figure out exactly what kind it was.
An Aladdin thermos came in a school lunch box when I was a kid.
Omg communion trays!!
Yes, that’s what we said. You never k is what will turn up in a thrift store.
Hi Julie. The wooden thingy you thought was for taking boots off is actually a small book shelf. You can sit it on a table or desk, and since the shelf is at an angle the books all stay in place. Prob vintage or antique. One would work well into one of your lovely vignettes.
Oh really! I had no idea. I love that y’all tell me all these things. Thank you!
Hi Julie Still cleaning and down sizing taking much longer than I expected your videos help me relax after a hard day cleaning you don’t realize how much you have with 55 years of marriages
Awe, thank you Rena! And yes,I do! My husband keep EVERYTHING and the complete opposite I’ll donate stuff so fast lol.
You taught your girls well. They have a knack for decor too!
I love the idea of thrifting some ornaments for gifts! It’s such a great idea for the babies. Even family and friends would love that!
The pictures look great in your room. You had mentioned previously you were on the hunt for! Great finds ladies!
Thank you Ronda!
Top brand some years ago on the thermos
Love family days with you .My adult daughters are finally seeing the benefits of junkin as I call it . Thx Julie
Awe fun! Thank you Kathy!
I love stainless steel and cast iron. I love the bird and the pic you found.
Thank you!
Interesting that I saw 2 communion sets with glasses still in them at antique shop today.
Really! How funny! Our church does all disposable stuff now so all the communion plates are showing up in thrift stores.
I was so surprised to see those communion sets in the thrift store!! I wonder why they were given to thrift??
@@debbiemcgee6822 I think it's sad.
Alladin is a great brand thermos. My dad had one just like that that he took to lunch
Yay! Thank you for letting me know.
Hi Julie oh gosh you found some nice things 🌻🌼🌻
Thank you Lisa!
Same here. I used to love rollercoasters, but now when i'm older not so much anymore.
Mostly I use a cast iron skillet. But it depends on what, I cook. I do have non-stick, stainless steel and my cast iron. ❤ love your channel!
Thank you Becky!
I use copper pans and sometimes cast iron. Those pictures looked good with the decor you put with them. My dad has just passed and as my mum was sorting his stuff , she found some paintings he had done, so I am going to do a gallery wall with them all.
Thank you!
Aladdin is a major name in thermoses so you got yourself a good one.
Oh wow, that’s awesome. Thank you for letting me know.
That Alladin thermos!!!! Talk about a blast from the past!!!! I had that when I was in grade school...awesome find 😉
Oh how fun! Thank you for watching!
Hi Julie. I use stainless. I tried to find something about those pots and pans but couldn’t find anything.
Thank you Carol! I know,me too I find nothing
I use stainless for cooking, always have. The Alladin thermos is a great, vintage brand. I used those many moons ago. I would pour boiling water in it, and put the cap on and let it sit awhile so my soup, coffee, or hot cocoa would stay nice & hot. Sure brought back memories seeing that thermos. As far as roller coasters go, I loved them when I was younger, but I wouldn't ride one now. I think it would scare me to death. lol!!!!! Growing up, we would head over to the Santa Cruz boardwalk in California, not far from where I grew up. Rode the roller coaster all the time. Suck wonderful memories. Thank you, Julie! Have a great weekend!!!!
Thank you so much! What a wonderful tip. I had no idea to do that. Now I must try it.
Alladin has been around for years and years .it's a great company..my husband had a thermos like that many many years ago .he took it to work with him..
I’m
So excited to see how it works for Elizabeth’s lunch.
My Grammie’s cast iron skillet, and a set of stainless steel pots and pans my daughter gave me❤️
All I cook on is cast iron skillets, I have several that were my Granny’s. I enjoy using them and remembering her, her kitchen was definitely the heart of her home.
About roller coasters 🎢 I don't know about wiser just older. Cast iron is my fave, perfect for cornbread, yum. Prices seem normal, for a change. Thank you for all the "family time" & cute ideas. The ice cream scoop, I have that one, I run it under hot water before digging in, Blue Bell 👍👍🌟✨👋take care.
Lol I hear ya.
You did get alot of good stuff. You always have the cutest ideas on decorating.
Thank you sweet friend!
The ice cream scoop is awesome as I have my mother in laws scoop and it does make great ice cream balls with ease.
I am new to your channel and I love it! In the evenings I have been binge watching the older videos. You are so down to earth and honest. I just love it!
Thank you so much Sonya! I’m definitely a down to earth kinda girl.
Hello, Julie. I have one of the Aladdin thermos in my cabinet…still using it from the early 80’s. Love your channel…it’s so interesting and brings back memories. Thanks for sharing. 🙋🏻♀️
Thank you so much!
I loved the fall painting and the baskets you had on the wall!
Thank you!
I use stainless steel and cast iron. Occasionally a porcelain pot.
Nice. Same here. Thank you for watching!
I believe the thermos is vintage. Always love your vlogs
Thank you so much Beth!
Those brass pot could be used as decor in your and for plants.❤️
that thermos is great, we had one when i was in school, just unscrew the bottom and make sure the glass is still inside
That ice cream scoop? When you use it, keep it in a glass of hot water. That way, it will be perfectly warm for scooping ice cream, and if you have different kinds, it will rinse it off between scoops. Change out the water as necessary.
Thank you!
I love the holy communion dishes. Perfect for EASTER and CHRISTMAS
New subscriber and I love how everyone is putting basket's on the wall again. I had them in the 70's & still am a basket 🧺 person.
Thank you!
I use mostly my cast iron pieces. Love, love, love them 💜
Love the picture on the porch. Aladdin is a very good brand of thermoses and lunchboxes. Love your master decor.
Thank you!
Great idea for the nutcrackers and awesome deal on ice cream scoop
Thank you!
Love the fall pictures you found Julie!! ❤️❤️
Julie, you and your daughter found great stuff at the thrift store!!! 😄 I love your thrifting videos Julie ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I too love the thrift stores!!! I've found so many great things and new stuff still with tags on.
Thank you so much Noemi and wow yes, I love when I find it brand new. Score!
The pottery dish Kelsey got is a bean pot. It should have came with a burner. It makes the best lima beans. Great save it's vintage. Thanks for sharing about tea cups in your canister. I had a vintaged small clear cup with the cutest handle and it got a chip on it and I was about to toss it and I got to repurpose it. Thanks for all you do.
I love the pillow that is near the bird. I look for those pillows everywhere I go
This is Miss Dottie I watch you all the time I love you and your family I wish I lived close to you cuz I could do all kinds of crap with that wallpaper we don't have anything like that in our are thrift stores we don't have anything like that wallpaper stuff in our stores you are so lucky
Awe, thank you Miss Dottie for Thrifting with us every week. Hopefully some will turn up in your thrift stores soon.
Love the bird and the florals you put in it. Also the artwork. Good finds!
Kelsey's pottery is the pot for a fondue (I thirfted the same one). It would have sat on a plug in metal warmer plate. Like how she styled It ❤
Years ago when my husband smoked, he smoked Camel cig. Each pack came with a paper coupon and you could save them and use them to buy stuff out of a cataloged they sent you. That looks like the Camel emblem. Also I've used Alladin for years. Very good product. I love the way you style your stuff and how you show in your videos right away what you do with something you've purchased.
Thank you Judy!
That is so funny. Bought a fall painting quite similar to the one you bought. Love it. I re did the frame and it hangs by my front door.
The first print not the one you put in your bedroom. That’s lovely too though
Oh nice! I love mine.
The communion trays at 3:25 would be a great find for mission churches. I wish there were a way to get them and connect.
Hi Julie love going thrifting with you your choices are wonderful.
Thank you so much!
First time watching and I really enjoy your family and video! The dollar tree I think has thinner tissue boxes.
Oh nice! I always forget about dollar tree! Thank you so much!
I always look forward to your videos! I use stainless steel to cook with! Such a lovely family!♥️
Thank you Donna!
Your prices are so reasonable! Loved the first smaller picture of the trees and lake hanging by the baskets. My Goodwill would have priced it at $7.99. I have stainless steel cookware, but I have one small Tfal nonstick skillet for my morning egg. Enjoyed seeing your finds!
Thank you Sherry!
A few months ago I bought the exact same thermos to decorate for fall.
Oh how fun! I’d love to see how you use it.
Great decorating ideas as usual. Your daughter has inherited the decorating flair 😊. The lamps in your bedroon look amazing. I use cast iron for frying and some baking.
Thank you so much!
I like your fall picture, very pretty. I like to buy wallpaper to line drawers and shelves. The picture in your bedroom struck me as a little odd. My first thought was "winter", no leaves on the trees but there is a bunch of daisy like flowers.
I really liked the fall colors presented in the picture. Thank you so much for watching!
Hi them wooden bowls are nice to drop your keys in on a entrance hall I have a wooden fruit bowl we use for all keys masks etc love the bird it looks so cute 🥰
Thank you
I love roller coasters! I haven't been in a few years and I can say that my neck and back aren't what they used to be😁
Love your channel. I always buy stuff with your video. Lol. The prices at your store are great
Thank you Shannon!
I cook with a set of Pioneer Woman enamel ware I found at a garage sale for only $5.00!
Oh nice!
My father in law was part of ACE, a rollercoaster club. We went to Six Flags over Texas and a couple other meetups with him. They got in before park opened and they provided breakfast, mid day they did a nice lunch of BBQ with lot of extras, snacks thru out the day and we got to stay until after the close of the park. The last ride on the Texas Giant was without lights. I did NOT do that ride. I like riding it a couple times but not over and over like my father in law, husband and son did that day. I been to it many times from toddler on up. We have been to one near St Louis. Mark's dad went to several parks all over the US. He grew up in PA. Our Goodwill not having any good Christmas or Halloween pieces out yet. I did score some earlier in the year. I think they are holding them in back until cooler weather. Never see Pampered Chef at ours. I been looking for egg trays like you keep finding. Only ones I find are either plastic or serving platters for deviled eggs. That was great price on ice cream scoop. Local shop hears uses them and puts them in hot water to heat up the scoop. I have one :)
I had no idea there was rollercoaster club. How fun! Thank you so much for watching!
Such a great video! I cook with cast iron and a few copper pots and pans as well. I loved how y'all styled everything and Kelsea's patio looks huge! I wish mine was that big. 😃
Thank you! Yes, her porch is huge. And beautiful!
They are Korean noodle pots
Oh wow,. Nice. I hope someone got them . Sounds like a great set.
Interesting~the communion sets would make Interesting assemblages...goth decor...burner covers....there's gotta be something!
My ice cream scoop, purchased from Zulily, inscribed Quarantine 2020, has an antifreeze thing inside & slides thru ice cream like butter.
Oh what a great idea. Like a Halloween vignette would be awesome. Yes! I love my ice cream scoop like that.
I was amazed to see those communion sets...hmm. I wonder why they are there?
@@alanatolstad4824 I guess that a store donated them.
@@alanatolstad4824 of course! Switching to disposable in the current climate makes perfect sense, & is certainly better than the explanations that I was imagining! It just feels odd. Now the question is what can be done with them so they don't end up in a landfill~
@@bookbwitched466 It sure has me stumped, but then I'm not by nature a very crafty person! Might look great for someone who has small paperweights!
Everything was beautiful, right down to the little wooden spoon. I don’t like roller coasters. I have vertigo and even little things can trigger it. I have Rachel Ray’s complete cooking set. Thank you for taking us thrifting with y’all. I always look forward to Friday evenings to watch your thrift store shopping. Have a great and blessed weekend. 😊💕🌻
Thank you so much Cindy! Oh her set is beautiful! I’ve seen it. Do you like how it cooks?
@@ThrilledThrifter
Yes I do. I used to use stainless steel pots & pans, but I really love my new ones. I’m very careful to not scratch them while cooking and I put napkins in between them when I stack them to put away so I don’t ruin them. 🌻
Possibly the thin pans were for formal serving(?), as in to keep warm over heat. I’m obviously guessing. I love the framed art you got!
Hmm it’s definitely an idea. And thank you!
I appreciate that you show how you style the items you buy. The last art piece you showed and said you thought it was an oil painting is an art print of a watercolor. Oil paintings will not be placed behind glass.
Yes, after I edited this I thought “I think that’s actually water color.” I’m learning. Thank you!
I love rollercoasters 🥰🤩
Right now I use some Teflon pans from Marshal's, my son loves to cook but can't get the hang on the cast iron pans 😏, love to go with you to thrift shopping, today I went to an antique Mall, everything there is expensive and beautiful, I restraint myself to spend only 15 dlls.
Thank you for sharing how your daughter styled her purchases.
Thank you!
Aladdin started producing lunch boxes in the 40's and 50's...many of the old lunch box character ones too. Very popular brand. The thermos's came later. Great choice. Love that painting with the baskets.
This is just so cool. Thank you!
@@ThrilledThrifter You're welcome. I'm partial to homemade potato soup myself. lol
@@debbieriddle9429 that’s Elizabeth’s favorite too!
I love the bird planter, so unique and I like how you styled it! And the oil paintings!
Thank you!
The pans look to be aluminum. Personally I use a set of Revereware I've had since I got married 30 yrs ago. I also use cast iron. I just love you small basket of wooden and silver utensils. ❤ Beautiful. It's very obvious that Kelsy picked up styling skills from her mother!🙂 Looks like a great day of thrifting.
Thank you so much! Yes, she’s definitely got the bug 😊❤️
Really enjoyed your video. I had not watched before. As far as what pot I used to cook in, when I did cook I used Revere Ware with the copper bottoms. I'm pretty sure they still make them and you can use it on the new cooktops. Now, however, my favorite pan is the microwave!
I like that you are not a reseller. I like that you buy for your family and yourself. on that note g’day from Australia
I love going thrifting with you and your family I enjoy watching you decorate your home with all your thrifting finds I like using cast iron and stainless steel but the day you found the camel I looked that up and that's a very expensive set when you get home look it up it's going to blow find mind,🙂💕🌻
I love my cast iron skillets & griddle.
Me too!
Great finds thanks for sharing.
Thank you Mehri!
1) Teflon pans when I get the urge to cook (which is not very often!)---2) The Ninja Roller Coaster at Magic Mountain near me is about the best I can do for thrills!---3) Clearing out visitors this week. One Sister came from Arizona for a class reunion, stayed with Mom, went back yesterday. A Brother & Sister-in-Law are heading back to Tahoe in the morning ,stayed with me. The firemen got a bit of a break in the weather, some rain, and the smoky sky is clear enough for my family to return home. It's been great having them, & I'll miss them.---Hospice patients continue to come and go...it's the nature of our business.---I MISSED YOU!
Wow Alana! You’ve been busy. Thank you so much for watching!
Hi Julie!
When I hit my teens I turned into an adrenaline junkie. I went on the fastest, biggest and the craziest rides in Six Flags and any other park or fair I went to. Just like the song "Still crazy after all these years" lol. I cook in the cast iron skillets Mom gave me when I moved from home, I still love them. I remember I had a lunchbox with an Alladin thermos I took to school. It was a great little thermos. Loved the barn and cabin paintings you picked up. How did Goodwill get hold of communion dishes? They look like the ones my church uses. Enjoyed the thrifting trip. Stay safe and see ya'll next week.
Thank you Rhonda. I think because of Covid. Our church is using something different now too.
Love all your finds but the best was the signed oil painting you put on the wall next to the baskets loved it♥️
Thank you!
Actually I do most of my cooking in a microwave. I hate it but we haven't got an oven. I love cast iron and stainless steel when I get the opportunity to cook.
Hey, whatever works? We use our microwave frequently lol
I wanted to let you know that one of your videos was the very first utube I ever watched. I love the was you thrift and style the things you buy. I love to thrift shop myself but when I can't I watch one of your videos to get my fix.🥴🤗
@@tarirouen5592 awe, thank you so much! I truly appreciate that.
Enjoy your video, Wish you could make more. Love how you decorate. ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you! I post every Friday :) sometimes Tuesday 😁
Great thrift. I love the picture you bought. Alladin is a good name brand, I own some of that brand. You and Kelsey have great taste. Elizabeth loves her jeans! Have a great weekend!
Thank you so much Terry! Yes, teenagers love clothes lol.
Hi Julie! What a great shopping trip you had. I say 'No' to roller coasters, I'm terrified of heights. I really liked the blue egg and the wooden bowls, the blue Chistmas balls, the painting, the blue and rust pillows. The Nutcrackers were really cute and I would have gotten them and hung them on the stockings. Have a great week and pet Piper for me!
Thank you Kit. Oh the stockings idea is a cute one too.
Nice haul, and I enjoyed seeing Kelsey’s haul and decorating, of course she learned well from her Mama!!
Thank you 😊
I use Revere ware and cast iron .
I use my grandmothers, mothers assortment of griswald cast iron. Love them
