The metal "thing" Josh found is a strainer, bartenders use them when pouring mixed drinks from a cocktail shaker into a glass so the ice doesnt go in the glass😀I hope I get as lucky as you tomorrow when I go thrifting!
That metal strainer your son in law was holding is for straining cocktails. The thrift shop had some cool things . That jute rug was lovely as was the pup.
Julie I have said this before I love you and your family. I myself love thrifting however my age keeps me from going very often. I watch you so much. Actually I want to thank you for motivating me to get up an go. I adore the fact you are so close with your family. Got some fantastic news my daughter and her family are moving near us in fact about 1 mile away. She loves to thrift and so now I will go more often I hope. She does not have a car so I will drive to her house then let her chauffeur me around and she can learn the area. Thank you so much for the Joy you bring to me. I have sent you pics before of things I put together in my house. My colors are teal..dark brown creams and white. I am sure you do not remember. Anyway I wanted you to know how much I appreciate you and the family videos. Stay safe take care and Let's go thrifting.. hugs Sheryl from Indiana 💙💙💙
Hello, Julie! I am enjoying your channel so much…it’s so relaxing. I appreciate how you display your items in your home…very inspiring. Thanks for sharing. Rest well. 🙋🏻♀️
The second thing Josh found was a cigarette snuffer. I love your videos! I wait all week to go shopping with you and your beautiful family! Thank you for taking us along.
Your Son in law is sweet for going and shopping with y’all, there’s not a lot of men that would want to do that. Your daughter has a good one there it’s not easy in this world to be a young married couple with small children it seems like they take good care of each other. Thanks so much for sharing your thrifting videos and your beautiful family! Keep up the great work!!!
Love how your grandson is starting early 😉. You've inspired me to think outside the box.....at a garage sale I found a old piano bench ($10). The seat was an old vinyl so I just took off the top and polished the wood up and now I have a beautiful plant stand/tray! Perfect height for in front of my window. 😀
Hi, Julie! 😀 Great finds today! 🛒🛍🛍🛍 Loved🥰 the scale, copper pot, scarf, the Wexford canister... You did well! 😍🤩 The metal piece is a strainer used by bartenders.🍸🍹 I laugh, 😄 because every time I see😯 something I want to get a closer look,👀 you pick it up! 😆😅🤣 SO FUN! Great format, too! Thanks so much for sharing! ❤
I would have gotten the metal tray and that oval platter with the florals! Looking forward to seeing the spice jars. Good find with the scarf. Thanks again for taking us along.
Enjoyed “thrifting” with you! Watching your little grandson put his finds in the buggy was especially sweet! Your daughter’s rug was an amazing find! 😃
Get yourself a nice little bottle of hyponex indoor plant food. Mix according to directions. Water with this, and let dry between applications, a little . When your plants get lush, I fluff them and talk to them and tell them how gorgeous they are. Don't laugh Julie, it works. Also use a good potting soil.
I Always look forward to Friday for your videos. You always find wonderful pieces. I know how it is when you get overwhelmed with “stuff”. The Free Store gets so many donations, we have to stop the drop offs because we don’t have the room for everything at times. But there are a lot of beautiful things that come through. I’ve been very fortunate and blessed to find pieces for my new place I’m moving into very soon. Happy Thrifting!

For instance when you put that beautiful glass bottle with water for your defuser and then put that very rustic candle base next to it as far as I saw u didn't do anything to it and it looks great. One of my favorites is the little flower cart that u styled for your dish soap and such love that 1. 👍👍👍

Looks like you guys had a great time! I really liked the quilt, the honey bottle, the dark green vase at 3:55, the urn, the cardinal figurine at 8:48 and of course the spice jars. Those were a great deal. Pet Piper for me and I hope you guys have a good weekend.
Try Greased Lightening to wash your old glass pieces in. It will remove all of the old grease and dust that make glass look yellowish and dirty. I bought an old scale this past week too. I think I'll be setting a plant pot on top of mine. I thought the brass pot with all the etching was beautiful. It was so much more interesting than the one you looked at later with the handles on the sides and yet the plainer looking one was priced so much higher. So glad you got the one you did. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the spice jars!
I knew you would get the scale and nice find on the Wexford jar with seal! I pickup spice jars, small and salt and pepper shakers. A friend does art projects with grandkids and they work great for glitter. Definitely would check out the Boyd Bear pieces. That was a great price on the metal Kcup. The flat think was a tea strainer. Love the rug! I want one of those for our living room. Only ones I find locally are either too little or wrong color. Lately, not found any for sale.
