About the numbers: they just chose their own number and, according to clown, nobody happened to want the same.
Their debut is absolutely insane! There was nothing like it before.
This is my favorite song exactly for its heavy raw intensity . He puts everything into this song to the point he voice cracks at the end. There is no other slipknot song, and maybe no other song that gets me more fired up.
Eyeless shall forever be my favorite song by Slipknot. I'm glad you decided to react to it.
The Marlon Brando chorus is a bit random. Apparently they bumped into a mad homeless person who just kept repeating the chorus line over and over. They loved it so whacked it in this song. So there ya go. One of my faves off the first album is Surfacing. Banging choon. Left Behind, AOV, Custer, Sic, Red Flag, My Plague. Just thought I'd put a few ideas in your pretty little head......and that new mask......oooof.
This journey with Slipknot will be long, but I can't wait the day when you'll show your tier list of the album, I'm pretty curious!
The way Corey changes his voice back and forth in the line ``im hearing voices but all they do is complain`` and in the line after that is kind of amazing for me.
Imagine buying this album in 99 when it came out. I still fucking love this album!! Seriously, I bought it when it first dropped. Fucking cherry 🍒busting.
From what I remember from numerous interviews each band member chose their own numbers to reflect who were in the group, and some numbers means something to the respective member. For example, Corey chose the number 8 for the fact that he walks in a sequence of 8 when on stage back and forth and it can also represent Infinity
every member chose their own numbers! appearently everyone just new exactly which number they wanted so they had no problem deciding. They dont mean a lot but it has been said that Sid for example had some kind of bond with his 0 because it kept appearing in his life, which is why he chose it.
He doesn't scream like this anymore because these kind of screams are risky. Especially now that Corey is in his 40s now. He kinda has to rely on technique rather than raw power.
This is one of my favorite songs to sing. So much energy and you just have to push yourself, its basically a workout! To even try and approach Corey's energy, takes everything out of you. Just leaves you drained and feeling amazing!!
This is the best Slipknot.
