- Today I tell you what does and doesn't work best when playing the Wiesel 1A1 TOW in @WorldofTanksModernArmor (WoT Console).
It has a unique playstyle, very similar in fact to the FV107 Era 1 light tank, the only difference being, you can't outrun the enemy in Era 3. You need to stay hidden, use your speed and maneuverability to flank and pull off shots from cover, before disappearing again. Stay fast, stay low and go for spotting assist.
It is safe to say the Wiesel is a Light Tank pretending to be a Tank Destroyer.

Wiesel damage from physics collisions like ramming/flipping is broken. Seen plenty wiesels get rammed for low damage by a tank 30x heavier than it. Idk if they gave it leniency since its so mobile but its not healthy for the game if a glass cannon gets so much help to not lose its health

That is a set up for the commander, I used my Light Crew Commander a part from silence driving near enough as your set up.
Now I reskilledy commander works great.

Thanks for sharing your insight on how to play the Wiesel. Can you do a video on how you would defend/play against it using a standard tank? M1A1, Challenger 1/2 etc?
Stay calm. Keep your back against a solid wall and lead your shot. I find switching to a closer 3rd person view helps.
Don’t auto lock and don’t over pressure yourself, the hit box on them is messed up so just aim infront of them by a few meters normally how long the tank is and then you’ll hit almost every time, but don’t rush your shots take your time and keep your armor towards them

This kind of vehicle loves the rice fields. 100% will flip upside down on max speed. Bonus : commander now dead

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing an ever decreasing pen damage on the Wiesel ? I’m now averaging just over 400 hp on pens over several games… which is nothing like the advertised 1300 - what’s RNG now ?- +5%/-80% ?🤪🤪… never mind the hits that don’t pen light tanks at all …… getting sick of my commander saying “that did some damage” … for ZERO damage! 😡
Try to aim at weak points. If you are trying to penetrate a Thumper or an M1A2 from at the front you will always cause splash damage for approx. 400hp every time. There are tanks with special armor against ATGMs. It would help if you penetrated those at the back or sides.

@@GodofAmmoRacks-WoTConsole I know, but if this guy auto-aims he will be hitting the center mass which is the lower plate which is thicker and angled.
@@perroviejo666 yes and no, if you look at where the auto locks locks onto when aiming at abrams, it’s upper plate. That’s why it’s so easy to pen the abrams as well as the thumper
With an ATGM that’s not a penetrating shot, it’s just a form of splash damage and atgms have a different mechanic when it comes to it. It’s either a bounce or depending on where you hit it’ll do anywhere from 200-400 regularly
good advice! tnx. ... just wondering why after STONKING couple of days with this tank, I'm now getting game after game where the 800 pen missiles are suddenly penning for 49 damage (!?) or no pen and crits hitting stuff in the sides/rear.....

Would like to see it do the helicopter jump. The way you took that tumble taking no damage, i'm assuming without fall protection, was interesting. How long are weasels on sale for and why don't you sell hats? Got no fun money until next week.
I just purchased the weisel and I love it, I basically drive wherever I want to on the map, driving like a surgeon 😅. And I like that it can take hits from other tanks no problem.

What is your Controller sensibility?
You can have pitch and head sensitivity. So your controller has no sensitivity by it self. But I run 100 on both
50% heading and pitch

You won't use gold to buy ammunition, but you'll spend it to buy a premium tank. You can buy the premium rounds for in game silver. Where is the principle in that?

ATGMs follow the red laser point. As you move the red laser pointer the ATGM will follow.
About this tank..... no point to have an aiming device. You can easily swap it for something useful. There is no need to aim in tank. I saw a game where man did 30k, combining and aim, maybe once. Just drive around like maniac and fire rockets up close.
They can ram you going 90km plus and just bounce off...???? No damage taken ....yeah I'm salty lol, but still trying ...used my bmp3 , machine guns just bounce......frustrating ...ty for all your vids ,, sorry I sound so negative but....wtf

I never use the free 4th equipment spot, I'll replace it.
Uh why? That puts you at a disadvantage not using the 4th equipment slot
@God of Ammo Racks I don't use the enhanced targeting that's in the 4th spot. I usually swap with something else. My MBT70 still has it tho since it will bounce a lot.

It's a game and the idea that using premium rounds (purchased by winning silver in the game) is just strange. If you're being "honorable" then hiding and firing at enemies is less then honorable. Why not be a standup guy and face your opponents head on? This is just a weird and dated approach- it's hard to believe people still adhere to this kind of thinking. Buying the tank is "pay to win", so you fell off that horse when you coughed up the money to begin with.

It’s the horrid rng factor that kills most players enjoyment imo, all my friends who played or have tried to play have quit. Common thread was rng inconsistently ruining gameplay. Most of the early UA-cam contributors are long gone too. It’s sad.
