Is XDefiant REALLY That Good?

- In this video, we're going to take a look at XDefiant, a new game that's been getting a lot of buzz lately. Is it really that good? Let's find out.
Xdefiant exploded onto the scene when it's closed beta released so it's safe to say the hype is pretty heavy but now the open beta has released we have all had a chance to play xdefiant to really see if it's everything it was said to be.
I'll be going over the gameplay of xdefiant as well as it's map design and server issues to see if XDefiant really is that good and a potential call of duty killer.

Even though I don't really play multiplayer shooters anymore as someone that's played COD since the 360 days I'm glad there's at least some innovation in the space.
Absolutely, innovation and competition
Halo and battlefield messed up so cod had no alternative. Hoping defiant can be that alternative
I don't mind some abilities, but I'd just like a solid team-based shooter. No obnoxious heroes or characters, just nameless soldiers with solid gunplay.
I imagine they will have a game mode like that

I hope this succeeds and gives COD a wake up call.
Thats all i can really hope for, some genuine competition to call of duty

I'm still into COD more, but this game reminds me of Brink (for anyone else who knows what that is) with updated game modes. That game was supposed to be top tier until it came out that there were only 2 modes, not sure what this game promises.

I remember getting it as a kid and got super disappointed, pretty sure it ran at like 20 fps too lmaooo
@JacksGameReviews ya I took it back for a refund within 3 days. It had the potential to be a fantastic game but the devs just completely gave up
The next Call of Duty killer! For 15 years straight! It's like "the next WoW killer" marketing pitches that went on for a decade or so...
Anyway never heard of this game but now I have and I'm interested so here's a comment for the algorithm because you're doin damn good work and it should get bumped, small as this contribution is. Cheers.
I'm glad that I can finally watch a honest review. I was super biased against XDefiant because I am that type of a person who just wants a good new *insert any Tom Clancy's title* game and I remember when I saw a Tom Clancy's logo and then learned that it's a god damn hero shooter and all the streamers were screaming WHOAAOA COD KILLED COD KILLER, it was a instant no for me. But it honestly looks interesting, at first the vibe this game was going for was unbearable for me cuz I remember that they aimed for this punk aesthetic but I've noticed a major change. Maybe I'll try it out.
It definitely struggles to stay away from the hero aspect, it's different but at the end of the day its the same thing as every other hero shooter.
That being said it also felt unique too me, it felt like a game i could spend a ton of hours on just grinding and having a blast. Plus the sniping feels fantastic.
Its free to play so definitely check it out when it fully releases if you're somewhat intrigued
XDefiant for me is going to be great, I played the open beta for around 8 hours and loved it. It’s very simple in the menus and easy to navigate which is good. Yes it has its drawbacks and inconsistencies in the gameplay but those will be fixed for the full launch. Also, it’s free the play which is a massive W when you look at the price of games these days. Roll on launch day!
It’s a free to play back to basic arcade shooter with a ton of brand recognisability

I tried it on Wed night. It was okay, reminded me of Ironsight. Feel like the weapons lack impact, though. Still, it is a beta. The voiceover in game is annoying as fuck.
Definitely some areas they need to improve on but I thought it was super solid
But jack, ubisoft and good games don't belong in the same sentence
Everyone once in a decade Ubisoft can release one

As good as Hyper Scape (last Ubisoft F2P attempt), that flopped on release and shut down completely last year. Or its successor they tried, called Pathfinder - i dont even know if that game launched, but it was supposed to be an Apex ripoff. Just like XDefiant is a generic Overwatch rip with COD guns thrown in, just to sell skins, bundles and battlepasses in the hopes of printing money like the other scumbag developers. BTW have you seen Rogue company? Clones.

i liked the beta myself but i also never played hyperscape etc. I did play rogue one for like 2 hours back in 2020 but hated it lmao
