I took the plunge. This review is very accurate. Pickups need swapping. Frets and tuners are decent enough. Nice and light but ... the neck is a baseball bat. Wish baldy would have mentioned that.

@@JamieLynnMorris I got two purps I used to jam on both schecters , it's on my page if you'd be so kind to look and like 😜 not into schecters anymore so i sold them , more into LTD , solar and budget brands like donner , asmuse and volgoa now for sure ! Gonna order that purp asap!

Just got the red burst delivered. Just had to tune it up. Very small blemish on the finish, but it's not worth sending it back. Like you suggested, the pickups might get changed out. May even coil tap them, but for me the stock are fine for now. Again, thank you for the review. Other than a dude playing it for 2 minutes, you have the only review video for this guitar.
So glad you uploaded this review because I just ordered one in Purple. My favorite looking guitar is the PRS so how can a guy pass up this deal and just if needed put new pickups in it and level the frets and dial everything else in if needed.

I snagged one in purple. Everything is great except the pickups. Just a nit pick but I loved how the photo online showed the back as purple which helped to finalize my decision but the one sent to me has a black back. It might be purple but is so dark as to look black. Not the end of the world. Change PUs, tuners and strings of course and this guitar is a steal as said previously. I'm gonna sand the neck down eventually. Thanks for the hook-up Baldshredder!

Hi Shredder! Just received my Volvos VRS1983 in purple. Beautiful guitar… however, it will need a complete set up, including neck adjustment, intonation and fret dressing. Still not a bad price, but not plug and play, at least the one I received. Keep up the good work and recommendations!

Best thing a guitarist can do is figure out which width pick suits you best. 0.6-1 mm helps the fretting hand remember. I leave 1.5 mm picks for bass players.
Using the correct picks lessens frustration while doing sweeps and scales

Yep I used to play 1.15 triangle Dunlops. Now I will only play Clayton tear drops in ether .38,.50, and .63 they are the best pick ever made

Great demo, those pickups sounded good in the demo to me. Great looking guitar, too, ridiculous price with the coupon. I can tell it's a photo flame top which I've always found cheesey, would look better with solid color finish, IMO.

Watching others play that have real control over their pinky, I find it interesting how even they will tuck their pinky out of the way when not really using it to fret a note. I don't have great control over my pinky so, often I just keep it out of the way.
I just bought one, you sold me on the light weight lol. I hate heavy guitars specially with a bum back. For the price I’d hang it on the wall for looks. Good job.
Or you can return it (or put some scrap wood in the box around the same weight😂). I bought a entire pedal board and none of it worked 🤫😁😉. I hope a wealthy guitar player buys that Amazon return pallet and laughs when he opens a bunch of guitar parts and pedal boxes and finds the most random stuff in the boxes instead

Glad I saw Sean’s video you were on when he reviewed that Fesley blue Strat style guitar which I ordered one of them for my granddaughter. She’s probably going to like my new purple Volgoa better which she can play also. Just bought her also a new Blackstar ID Code V3 10 watt practice amp from Sweetwater that is awesome. But her blue Fesley arrived We’d and can’t believe how great it sounds and plays plus quality is awesome.

Hi shreeder ....Thank you ...lWatched this and I bought it ....awesome guitar ....looked very well made neck great radius comfortable ....thank you also about 3 months ago ...I bought the MXR fat sugar because the demo you did had it and a boost pedal thar sounded extremely close to the sound of Eric Johnson the other pedals in the review were a tc nova and a a pedal called fat sugar booster with reverb ... It's 200 ...I really can't afford that pedal I need to find a boost little less expensive lol but that demo and song were awesome really sounder awesome ....BTW my guitar was 159.00 plus free shipping and a 15.00 bonus discount basically 154.00 A STEAL thank you again ... I watch all you shows s. A great service you provide ....thanks again for all your works and efforts 👍👍👍👍👍👍💯🎸

Love that matte finish
Baldy, I went to jump on it, but read the description first. The top is a photo print, but looks good. Neck is mahogany with maple fingerboard. That makes it jatoba. With weak buckers and likely sloppy tuners is why its cheap. But, true, good body/neck bones allow for upgrades to make it way better. I decided it is not worth it for me to also make a trip Stateside to get it.

Lol. It does look very nice. I like the Matte finish on it and the satin finish. I'm curious to known which Fleour model you would put in it. Also you can probably squeeze in some guyker or Musiclily tuners and still fall right at $200 with the guitar, pickups and tuners. Score!

I just received this guitar. Unfortunately, the neck is cracked near the body. Bummer!! Amazon is replacing so I just have to wait for the next one to arrive.

New subscriber here. 😉 Another reviewer said the binding has a smooth rolled edge, but would YOU say it's a VERY smooth, rolled edge? I get easily annoyed by the typical sharpish edge of guitars on the soft-white-underbelly of my forearm.

I've never liked the look of the flat one piece pickup. I like the double coil.

If money was no object, I'd use Seymour Duncan (JB & Jazz). But I've found good budget pickups that sound almost identical. Donlis from Aliexpress or Fleor from Amazon. There's a link for the Fleor pickups in this video description.

Question , the neck is too thick to shred? I am asking because my guitars are not Jumbo frets and i can shred...so I wonder is that Guitar would be good for me to shred...unless the neck is not real that easy
I would not consider this a shred guitar. The neck is not super thick, but not super thin either.

Great playing but I’ve tried a couple of these cheaper brand guitars you have liked but I sent them back. Most will take at least 300$ to get up to par. Pass.

Right a comment about the photo top instead of spending 7 extra dollars like I did in a can of Montana mint green spray paint… it played awesome before I painted it yesterday and I didn’t notice the top because I was playing it. The ad on Amazon say photo top more than once unlike other companies (Epiphone) not even disclosing that
