@@froidianslip thats how I was introduced to him. I saw him live opening for the killers and he started playing getting away with it and I was instantly hooked.
Went to go see Johnny and his orchestra in December in Manchester and it was amazing. Effortless is banded around so much but he really does make it look so easy. His time with Hans and the full orchestra has definitely inspired the big man.
Greetings from Chicago ✌️ Thanks to a hilarious program called "Would I Lie to You?", I met Johnny Marr for the first time. The cast was gushing praise for him, which made me curious. 🤔 This gentleman is a brilliant musician, and fairly funny on the show as well. Rock on! 🎵
@@Kath-nd6pj YT has episodes posted from a couple of different sources, so what I've seen has been an assortment of seasons over the span of the program. Good stuff. Great guests.
It's called the piano room and you never see the piano player who just happens to be Henry Burnett who is currently touring with the classic rock show. A stunning musician and also plays drums!
@@mattmorris2867 Johnny historically has stayed away from playing acoustically live because of not digging the sonic quality of it (I assume). It seems he's found the "key" to make it (an acoustic) work for him live...........
The older he gets the cooler he gets, this just changes the song incredibly. Its a whole new plain of cool-ness. Made me cry.
Johnny Marr is quality. I love this version, familiar but fresh. If you get a chance to see him live, you won't be disappointed.
Seconded! Saw him open for The Killers. Enjoyed him so much more than the headliners.

🎵👍👍👍
This is THE version of this track with strings and such. I think through this track Johnny connected with an acoustic live key. Maybe?
An acoustic live key? What are you on about.

Better ways lead to the Best version. Never regrets😅.
Well that didn’t make sense.
Morrissey and marr both in the 60s and both still killing it live .. modern musicians are crap
if he only had a singer?..
Pretty average song I'm sorry
In your opinion.
