    My 2013 Kia Ceed 1.6CRDI now have close to 250.000km on the clock. Never seen any error code or DPF signal light. Car runs perfectly fine. I Change oil myself every 10.000km. The 6speed manuel gearbox is still smooth, this is the best car I ever owned. I even installed diesel heater for motor and cabin, new large screen android navigation, back camera and new door speakers. Awesome car! Love it.

    I have a 2010 Hyundai i30 FD 1.6 CRDi unit in. List of modifications; (unrestricted exhaust flow) modification, emissions devices alterations, twin-pass bigger intercooler, aluminium boost pipe conversion instead of the OEM factory rubber boost pipes and running a custom home-made wire mesh air filter which removes the filter element on the panel filter and replace it wire mesh to eliminate air restriction on the intake side, Cold air ducting from the air-box to the front bumper also fitted to direct cold air from the front of the vehicle eliminating hot air induce to the airbox from the warm engine bay. Overall the intake air temperature according to the live data has reduce from 47 degree celsius to 20 degree celsius under extreme load w/ air flow and outside air temp @ 9 degree celsius. Majority of the mods are custom since the aftermarket scene for older generation hyundai and kia models are very limited. This setup is still waiting for a ball bearing coversion on the turbo allowing to spool faster at low RPM compare to the journal bearing on the GT1444VZ turbo as came with the car and custom tune on the Bosch ECU for more fuel due to the colder air entering the engine and unrestricted exhaust flow going out. Standard resonator and rear silencer is still attached to the vehicle as they are not very restrictive and kept the cabin noise to a minimum. Estimate BHP and Torque according to a professional tuner on the dyno is in the region of 170-200BHP at the crank and 340-360 N-m of Torque depending on engine and other variation of condition that may alter the result.

    I have a Hyundai Creta 1.6D with the D4FB mated to a 6speed torque converter auto. 94kw and 260nm. I absolutely loves it. Smooth, flies and extremely low on fuel. Get like 20Km/L. Looks same as that on your pics. But intake in mine is metal. And top cover below injectors. I had a 1.4 CRDI D4FC before, that i had tor 250000km, zero issues ever over 6year period i owned it. The Creta i have now is 2019 at 65000km also no issues. I love the 1.6Crdi D4FB and they have surely been around for ages and im sure they are very reliable. On the i20 i had before always serviced every 10000km and only 5w30. No dps here, only egr. Cleaned intake twice in intake ever. Will do same with creta.

    2014 Kia Soul 1.6 CRDi 126Bhp. I just maintain proper PMS, stretch her once in a while during out of town trips when on the highway. Even though it's a diesel she's subdued and not too noisy. These do come with turbochargers and intercoolers from the factory.

    Just bought the Sprint booster of the back of this. £199 + 9.99 delivery. I have a 2015 Kia Ceed 3 Sportswagon Ecodynamics. The delay in pedal response is quite a bit atm, and hopefully this will scratch that itch of wanting a new car!

    • @torquecars
      @torquecars  6 місяців тому

      Let me know how you get on with that, it seems a cost effective upgrade on these engines. I was surprised how well equipped the interior of the Ceed 3 Sportswagon is. My first Kia looked pretty plastic and basic in comparison.

      @@torquecars Had it remapped after this too, certainly helped with the torque and accelaration. But that pedal responsiveness is still lacking. Couple a days the booster should be here, ill let you know.

      @@torquecars Sprint booster finally arrived about a week ago. Shipping issues apparently, but the garage that deals with them were helpful so not a bad experience. Got this set up very easily, considering I have next to no experience with cars. Ultimately, it feels like a way better car. The remap and speed boost work very nicely. A responsive throttle helps a whole lot.
      Overall around £400 spent for a lot more of a fun car. Thanks for the suggestions, really happy with them.

    There is also 100 kW (136 hp). That is what i own in my Ceed 2016. I am little worry about future DPF replacement because it costs a lot of money. Hyundai sell same DPF for i30 for a half of price. I hope i last for a long time. :-) Now i am over 144 000km. I changing oil and oil filter after 15 000km. Half what manufacuer says.

      Instead of buying or replacing the DPF, you can get it washed which is a lot cheaper.

    I have a 2021 Hyundai i20 with a 1.5 CRDi U2 engine. However, it comes with a Wastegate Turbo (WGT) instead of a Variable Geometry Turbo (VGT). The same engine and setup are used in other cars like the Accent and Creta, which come with a VGT. My question is, how easy would it be to swap the WGT for a VGT from one of those models, tune it, and upgrade the power? Are there any challenges to consider, or would it be a straightforward swap?
    Additionally, the stock setup generates 100bhp. What if I tune it to produce 120bhp with the WGT turbo still installed?

      A chip tuning device doesn't communicate via protocols, it modifies analogue signal lever of the common rail and boost pressure sensors, only higher end vehicles have started using digitally controlled sensors

    • @YalcinOfficial
      @YalcinOfficial 2 місяці тому +1

      @@gregh1643there has not been produced any protocols for this car yet (1.6 CRDI with D4FE engine (ECU SIM2K-510). So it is not possible to chiptune it yet by any chiptuners.
      Pardon, my English is not super great so maybe you misunderstood what I meant about chiptunings and protocols. There are no protocols yet so it is not possible to write og read the ECU for chiptuning.
